You ever run afoul of a Popplio?

Finley thinks... the inn may be quiet tonight, and it's quiet too... but there's also simply sitting at the bar and talking it out.

"Do you want to just head back to our rooms at the inn and talk about this? Or would you rather get it out in the bar, just not in the bathroom?"

My brain is too drained to try and take everything in, but I can register Eliot patting my head. "Th… ank… s…"

"The... the first one is better."

Mila tries to stand up, but she can feel her legs shaking. She has to hold on to the counter to stand up. She's not sure how she's going to make it all the way there, but she doesn't think of holding on to Finley for support. Not after all the mess she's made so far.

"I don't, uh, think so.....?"

Shrugging, Sushi orders another glass of the pink stuff from earlier and takes a sip.

Nathaniel is now halfway through the second verse, starting to get super emotional towards the end.

Finley looks at Mila struggling. "... Do you need help? You shouldn't be afraid to ask, especially after tonight." She puts her hand out. "I'm going to tell Eliot we're leaving, once I get you ready to go. Is that okay?"

[I just sit back and listen. It's good music, nice chops on the guitar...]

[I can't help but be reminded of that brat from Coral Castle or whatever, that sends me into bit of a giggling fit.]

Mila subconsciously moves to accept her support, trying to stabilize herself and taking small steps towards the door.

"That... sounds good. Thank you... for everything. Even after this..."

Slowly, making sure Mila is able to walk, before she makes her way out the door and over to Eliot.

"Mila and I are headed to the inn to talk. If you want to check in on us, be sure to knock first, okay?"

Sushi finishes off her glass just as Nathaniel finishes his song and steps off the stage to much applause.

"WAIT." Sushi exclaims before Fin and Mila can leave, slamming her glass on the table.

"Now that we're all gathered here, I have something very important I have to say, to all of you."

Mila slowly begins making her way to the door, first leaning on the doorframe leading to the bathroom, then slowly making her way over to the exit. However, on hearing Sushi's outburst she looks over silently, leaning on one of the walls for support. Every time she stops she feels like she wants to fall over or just curl up and shut out everything.

Woo! Sushi's got tha floor!

[I lazily lean over to address Finley.] "Oka—"

[I look over at Sushi, then at the two, then back at Sushi. I get a good look at her face, the glass in her hand...she had, like, ten vodkas earlier, I think she's drunk. I sit up some...this better really be important...]

Finley looks at Sushi, still holding onto the near fainting, probably depressed Mila.

"Is this really worth it, Sushi?"

"You guys...." she starts, a single tear falling from beneath her eyepatch, "You guys are my best friends, and I-" here, she interrupts herself with a rather loud burp. "I lllllllove you!"

With that, she slumps over, falling facefirst on the table. After a few seconds, she can be heard snoring audibly.

Andy pet at Sushi's head. You really overdrank yourself, didn't you? He sounds significantly less drunk.

The Farfetch'd returns to the mic. "Is one Mr., erm, Kids' Menu Eliot here?"

The door can be heard creaking open, as Mila slowly shifts her weight over to it as she exits the building. She waits for Finley before continuing, though the front of colder air outside jolts her somewhat back to her senses. Still not enough to consider what she wants to say next, but at least to think.

She's... not angry with me. For now... but maybe that's enough. She wants to talk... I need to tell her. No more lies. No more half truths... not if I want to have anything left.

"..."

[I get up and slowly pull Sushi from off the table and lay her against her chair. I turn back to Mila and Fin.]

"I'll be back at the inn in a bit, okay? Hopefully, with everyone else and...well..." [Obvious answer being the cat who just drank and danced herself to sleep...]

[Upon hearing my name announced, I shoot Andy a quick angered look before blowing it off. I sigh and make my way towards the stage...]

"What'll you be performing, Kids?"

Finley follows her, looking back at Sushi worried, then looking back at Mila just as worried.

"We're almost back now, we just have to walk there. Just hang on, okay?" She begins walking to the inn, holding her to make sure she doesn't just completely collapse on her.

"Um, just Eliot, thank you..." [I think for a bit...I guess I never really put any serious thought into this, did I...] "...you have any...instruments I could use?"

"Thank you..."

Mila stumbles slightly at the outset, but once they start moving she manages to keep her balance better. Somehow, the situation makes her think back to the hospital.

It's like last time I broke down, but now I need the help. Who am I kidding? It was always me who needed the help. I was always the one falling apart and it's up to her to put me back together again.

"What do you need, Eliot?"

After a short walk, they end up at the inn, as Finley works her way inside.

"To a room, now?" She says to Mila. "It's quieter here. All up to you and what you want."

"...you got a...you got any, uh..." [I try to think of something...oh, lord, there's just...too many options, I just...]

"...um, guitar, maybe?"
