ITT: We Have All Become Pokémon

"Straight vodka," she says, then takes a look towards one of the patrons drinking something out of a large glass. "Though that pink stuff also is looking pretty good."

*as the song ends, Carmela takes a bow* Thank you! *collecting the cash from the hat and then returning to her brother, eating etc. etc.* Last post for me tonight.

Andy sees the drink she's referring to. He walks to the patron drinking it. He places several Poké from his pouch on the table. We'll take that. He sips the drink. Damn!

As the song comes to a stop, Sushi cheers, tossing a pair of doubloons into the hat before Carmella takes it.

Sushi! Taste this drink! It's to die for!

"Shit, okay." Sushi takes a sip, then immediately takes a several gulps.

"Holy wow that's good!!!!"

[Walking though the door and closing it, I rest myself against the wall beside it, adopting one of those cool kid poses because otherwise, I'd look like some drunk doofus. Hell, I doubt I don't look like that despite my best efforts.]

"So...what was it you were gonna say about Mila?" [I cross my arms: fuck patience.]

Finley goes out too, standing adjacent to Eliot. "I think, maybe it's vain of me to suggest it... okay, it definitely is... but do you think Mila likes me? I've seen her acting incredibly strange around me lately."

The Farfetch'd returns to the stage. "Alrighty alrighty, next singer up, is..." he reads from him crumpled up list, "Misses Mila!"

Andy cheers on, with a noticeable buzz.

Mila looks towards the door with one last involutary glance as it shuts. Through the glass in the upper half she can see to the top of the cavern's roof, and notices a red light reflected there from all the smog and city lighting. Her mind, still trying to latch on to something, anything that she knows how to sing that won't lead to something terrible down the line, reminds her of the one appropriate song, even if it would seem odd to the crowd. She jolts up on hearing her name, and goes to the stage somewhat stilted. The knot in her chest is growing tighter, but she forces herself to calm down and breathe deeply. No sense in collapsing on stage. She takes one more deep breath, and looks out at the crowd before beginning in a quiet voice.

"Red moon, red moon."

"Cleanses the sinful and makes them anew."

"Shining brightly, in the night sky"

"Waiting for the souls."

"Who will be born again tonight?"

"Who will be born again tonight, be born again tonight?"

"Oh hey, that's one of ours, right? Wooo!"

Sushi watches Mila eagerly, swaying back and forth to the song as she sips on her unidentified pink beverage.

Andy drunkenly "whispers" to Sushi. This's probly another of her anime songs...

(Okay, I have an idea, but…) I approach the Farfetch'd. "Excuse me, sir, do you have any spare instruments? I was wondering if I could use one for my performance."

The Farfetch'd looks a little annoyed at first, but goes into the back anyway. He pulls out a bin, which includes weird alien Pokéintsruments, some drums, and a shined harmonica.

[And now we've reached an empass. I give a thoughtful huff and close my eyes...

[Oh, fuck, I am not chill about this at all. Crap, should I tell her or... I mean, she's realized at this point, but...]

"...mm...maybe." [I chuckle.] "Yea, now that you mention it, it...it's a little obvious, ain't it?"

Sushi giggles. "What a WEEB."

My eyes instantly land on the harmonica. (Yes!) I quickly grab it and test it out a bit, taking a sigh of relief upon finding out it works. (Okay, I just need some quick practice with it…) I run outside of the club for a bit.

"... Is that a yes, then?"

Finley wasn't mad about this.

... in fact, she didn't mind much at all.

After her rather short time on stage, Mila quickly leaves and returns to the rest of the crowd, completely ignorant of their response. Instead, she rushes towards the door; then, thinking better of it, she pivots and moves to the bathrooms. She pushes open the door, and runs past the one other individual present before locking herself into a stall. She needs some time to cool down and think. And maybe throw up. She'd really like to throw up right about now.

Andy sees this. Oh damn... should we get Finley or something?

"...I mean, I guess."

[The door swings open and almost slams into my face, but thankfully, it settles for my leg instead. Grunting from the pain, I see Niles running out of the club with a harmonica.]

[I turn my attention back to Finley. I think it...shit, I think it's time to go ahead and say it. I ask her in a somewhat dopey voice,] "...you maybe wanna go 'n ask her 'bout it?" [I'm trying my darndest to sound like I've had no prior involvement with this, but gaaaaaaaaah.]

I run to the side of the building and get some quick rehearsal in.

The Farfetch'd, seeing Mila abruptly leave, awkwardly returns to stage. "Uh, okay! That was, um, Mila!" He takes the tips and sets them to the side.

"Alright! Next up, is, uh..." He squints at the text, which has been edited several times. "Niles Pharts? Niles Pharts!"

I can hear my name being called. (Shit, already?!) I run back inside and onto the stage. "That's me! I'm here!"

Under his breath, he sighs. "This guy... Niles Pharts! What song will you be performing?"
