Whoa! She's losin' i-BLEARGH! (Marsha starts to say, only to let loose the Scald she was holding in herself. The attack winds up flying past Priscilla and into a wall.) Wrench! Wait for us!

(Marsha leans over to let Marlon off her back and get upright, thinking of what move to use.)

"She's trying to escape! You can't just wait and let her get away!"

(The water swirled around me as if to block me out. Seems like the catch of the day's being a little feisty. No matter. I noted the direction of the vortex and attempted to counter it by reaching my wings out as far as I can and spinning in the opposite direction, hoping to cut through the Whirlpool and clear the path between me and the killer. Given our typing, I might be a little battered, but I can take it.)

(I tell Marsha as I hop off her back. Upon doing so, I aim and fire my Shuriken at Priscilla.)

Sheesh, I guess he has a point. Uh... (Unable to think of a move that will do much good to the Basculin, given that she mostly knows Water-type moves, and wanting to avoid making too big of a mess, she opts to rush in and use her fists.)

(She pushes her way into the rushing water (navigating through it fairly easily given her type) and spots the Basculin amidst the rushing water.)

Hey! Psycho! You want paws, huh? I'll give ya one! Right in your face! (Marsha says in an attempt to sound threatening.)

(Marsha pulls her fist back. It, along with the rest of her arm, suddenly begins to glow white, much to her surprise.)

Jeepers... (Marsha breathes. She swings at the Basculin with all of her might.)

Slums (Basculin)

*the Basculin slingshots out of the whirlpool and hastily floats down an alleyway. She's out of reach of the Hammer Arm and well out of range of Grigori's melee attack, while her confusing trajectory allows her to avoid the tri-attack. As she turns around, she takes Marlon's shuriken right in her underbelly. With a grunt, and from her favorable position in a moderately tight alleyway, her psycho persona states*

jUSt wAiT unTIL the prINCiPAL hEaRs abOUT thIS, sHe'll wHiP yOu aLL gOoD! *before she lets out a Surf down the alley toward the party, at a pressure so great that while it tires her somewhat, it also pushes her backwards, giving her the momentum to escape. Unfortunately, her unreachable underbelly wound is also laying a trail of blood...*

Slums (Tilly)

*as the large wave comes her way, Tilly bluntly says* Glad I learned to swim... *though ducks underground anyway, pathing multiple sumps so the water doesn't catch up with her*

Zeb tries to use an Agility to speed himself up in the thick of things, but gets washed away in the Surf.

"Ugh... that was something..."

"...Guess we're gonna have to go after her. Need a speed boost, Grigs?"

(Marsha's attack ultimately whiffs as the Basculin sails away. The resulting momentum causes Marsha to spin around, her stumpy legs to cross together and send her falling on her back. She catches Marlon managing to hit Priscilla.)

Nice shot, Marl-ACCKPTH!!! (Marsha sputters as the Surf hits her before she can use Protect. She lands beside Zeb/Dieter.) Dang, I shoulda been watchin' for somethin' like dat. Now what?

(Woah, did she just...GLUG!)

(The distraction ends up causing me to get knocked down, but not washed away by her sudden use of surf. After coughing, I sit up briefly.)

We keep following!

(I say, holding a hand out so that I could get boosted back up.)

I try to fly away from the Surf, but it catches up with me. When it passes, I speak again.

"We will make you regret that! Just you wait..."

(The surf, no doubt, knocked me off balance through its force. However, I got up and noticed what Marlon's attack had brought. Then, I look to Zeb and nodded.) A ride's more likely. Follow that trail and don't let up the chase! (I got on Zeb's back and prepared an arrow for her shadow. She's not getting away.)

Sure thing, Marly! (Marsha says, helping Marlon back up to his feet and starting down the alleyway.)

(She steals another look at her arm. That was obviously some sort of move she just pulled with her arm, wasn't it? As Marsha heads down the alleyway towards the insane fish, she puts her three-fingered hand into a fist again, and her arm once again begins glowing.)

Man, dis is incredible! (Marsha says, admiring it.)

Slums (Basculin)

*aware of her injuries, the Basculin wastes no time as she ends up back in the crowds, occasionally knocking other mons off balance or over entirely, but not enough to really make a trail out of. The blood, however, makes an excellent trail for those low enough to find it. She's heading in the direction of her house — she figures her chances are better in her home turf, having long since expected bounty hunters to be after her*

Slums (Tilly)

*bringing herself to the surface after sensing most of the surf subsiding, Tilly is a little muddy, but no worse for wear. She starts following the others, saying* So this is what it's like for the police...I can truly start to understand their attitudes.

(I say, also admiring the Hammer Arm. As we cross over from alley to alley a black shadow in the form of a ball suddenly forms up beneath my right arm. I make my eyes glow and realize that I can move it with my psychic power...)

Damn..

(I say as I realize that I've just learned Shadow Ball.)

(...And then I realize that she's gone again, and not much of a trail-blood...there. I say to the group:)

She's on the move again!

(I point to the blood.)

I couldn't tell yas. Maybe she's just nuts! Let's keep followin' her! (Marsha says. She starts off into the crowd. She follows the blood trail left by Priscilla on the ground.)

Bleagh, dis is disgustin'. (Marsha says to herself. She distracts herself by looking to Marlon.) Way ta use dat Shadow Ball dair, Marly!

(She realizes that her arm is starting to hurt from holding it in a Hammer Arm stance for so long. She has to throw the punch, but there are too many people around for her to do it. She's visibly starting to grimace.)

Hoooourgh.... (Marsha whines slightly.)

Zeb nods and rushes forward with being quicke, bit hampered with the owl on his back, but still pretty fast.

(As we came across the crowd, I looked at the Pokemon the killer knocked over, but it's too sparse to make a distinct trail out of, and thus, her shadow would be next to impossible to pin down without someone else getting in the way. I flew upwards to find a less densely-populated area where her blood trail would emerge from the crowd.)

(I call out.)

I have an idea.

(I quickly summon a Protect barrier and start strafe walking next to her so that she could use Hammer Arm.)

Slums (Basculin)

*weaving in and out of crowds for a good distance, the Basculin is well ahead of anyone at this point. She eventually breaks out of the crowds as she nears the edge of the slums, and the town as a whole, slipping into her sizable hideaway on the outskirts of town. Locking the door, her first order of business is to Scald into a bucket and dip her underbelly in — it leaves a notable scar, but she barely even reels as it cauterizes the wound*

*she looks around the house she's had a mere two days to prepare. She wonders if there's anything else she can do to prepare*

Note that I will provide no more updates on her until the humanmons break in. So post at your preferred pace, though I will GM your efforts entering and inside the house.

Hnnnnnngeeeeyah!! PUNG!!! (Marsha hits the shield so hard that the recoil sends her stumbling backwards into a vested Meinshao and Shiny Koffing in the crowd.)

Whoa! (The Koffing shouts.)

Ma'am, are you all right? (The Meinshao asks Marsha.)

Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Just learned dat I shouldn't hold whateva move dat was, dat's all. (Marsha says, getting up and rejoining the others.)

Dang, dat hurt!! (She remarks once she's back with the others.)

It is...but it did work.

(I say, gently rubbing Marsha's hand that formed the Hammer Arm as we continue onward through the slums.)

(I looked around the area and noticed the duo stopping to recover. I'm not sure from what, but as long as it doesn't do much damage. From a less crowded spot in the area, I noticed what looks like a trail of red. I swooped down to check it, but it felt like carpet instead. A Corphish shouted at me.) Hey! What do you think you are doing on my rug? I bought this for 50000 Poké! That's worth more than you and your family!

(I don't have time to listen to his ranting as I flew back up and searched elsewhere for a street where she could have possibly slipped to.)

Yeah... (Marsha says, giving Marlon a grin. She then looks ahead.) Think we're any closer?
