Restaurant (Table)

... *Sarah doesn't say anything for awhile...she's actually feeling (and looking) a bit embarrassed. She then says* ...sorry, you're right...especially when you word it that way. I guess it'd be like me cramming food into my ear, huh?

Still...no way you run on perpetual energy — there totally has to be something you need. *paw-to-chin, she wonders aloud* Maybe a town this big has a Golett family somewhere?

"Maybe, but we cant just leave in the middle of your order. Plus wouldn't it be a bit awkward if we find a royal family or a poor one in this kingdom?" I question before looking towards the windows and seeing that things have gotten quite bright outisde.

(Must have been some clouds in front of the sun for a bit.

Mila is a bit taken by surprise when Finley rushes off to follow Niles, and knowing that she's not near to the rest of the group she chooses to follow, not wanting to be left alone once more. She stops herself from using Agility, though, trying to conserve her strength to get over the sickness, and instead tries to keep Finley in line of sight as best she can. After a while, she falls behind, and worry begins to set in until she hears a scuffle and notices a smoke cloud in the distance. Suddenly, she's overwhelmed with panic and begins rushing towards the scene, though she's still a distance away.

"STOP!!" Finley quickly puts Protect over Niles to protect him from the next attack. "STOP IT!"

Quickly, she darts over to the two. "Don't hurt him! Please!"

I get caught in the Whirlpool, making me swallow up some water, which I instantly cough out when I get the chance. I can't run away anymore. Any fire I try to create gets put out. (No other options left… I have to try this…!) I try to keep myself stable and collect the artificial sunlight. I take aim and fire off the Solar Beam. While trying to shoot it out, my body is hit hard by the kickback, like I can't properly control it. The beam fires off upward and hits the upper corner of a building. (Oh no…)

Slums/Blacksmith

(Inside the small wooden shack, there are pieces of metal molded into all sorts of random shapes and sizes, including trees, flowers, wagons, buckets, and even a few small metal statues of various Pokémon. There's even one of the former Chairgon Merqury which has been marked down as 70% off, likely in light of the incident leading up to his death.)

(In the very middle is a rather heavyset-looking Aggron busily hammering a red-hot piece of metal into the shape of a flower when he sees his Lairon assistant leading Rich, Milo, and Dieter inside.)

How d'ya do, neighbors! (Travis says to the three new visitors.) Welcome to Travis's Metalworks and Sculptures! How may I assist you folks today? We have a sale going on and all of our statues are 30% off unless otherwise marked!

I need a pair of metal gloves, matey. (Rich tells Travis.)

Hmm...all right, then. I'm not sure why you would need metal gloves since I didn't think Tyranitars like you could use Steel-type moves, but I'm sure you have your reasons! I'll get started right away, sir! I mean, as soon as I can finish this flower here...give me one second...

(Travis pounds the metal flower a few more times and holds it up. It's a quite nice-looking metal daisy.) Neat, huh? Anyway, I'll get started on your gloves right away...

(Travis takes some metal from beneath his table and begins heating it up over his fire.) So how have you folks been doing this fine day?

*glaring at Finley interfering, the Basculin looks her over...and her glare changes to a rather evil grin right before she gutturally intones* YoU'Re nEXt... *then straight up ignores her, going straight into the whirlpool around Niles. Needing to wrap up this quickly, she attempts to fire a water gun straight into Niles' mouth — which is initially deflected by the Protect before causing it to shatter*

Restaurant (Table)

I mean after lunch... *she looks at what James is looking at, and says* ....huh, like...got bright outside quickly, huh?

Finley doesn't back down. She refuses to. She lied to him, betrayed him, fucked him over, but...

Maybe this is her chance to show she does care.

She quickly throws a Protect over herself and darts into the arena, trying to grab at Niles and pull him out. "Come on! We have to go, now!"

"GLLGHKHHGKHLL…!!" Water's starting to fill up my lungs. (I can't breathe. Am I dying? No, make it stop!) My mind fogs up. (Someone, please-!) I begin to black out. (… help me…) I go unconscious, not realizing that Finley's pulled me out already.

Slums/Travis

(Travis notes the Entei statue that Dieter is eyeing.) I just made that one last week! Not to pat myself on the back or anything, but I think it's one of my best ones. With my sale going on, it's about 4700 Poké!

(Travis turns to Rich.) So...what are you planning on using these gloves for, sir? Gardening? A Costume? Just to look nice? You do seem like the type that would look nice with these gloves. Those paper bags you have over your hands look kind of tacky anyway, to be honest. Why have you been wearing those?

I...erm...ahem...I have me reasons... (Rich says, embarrassed to say why to Travis.)

Are you that boy's mother, dearie? You certainly HaVEn'T rAIsEd HiM wELl... *the Basculin starts pursuing Finley, firing an Aqua Jet aiming at her legs*

For a bit, she flashes back to the last encounter like this. It was her who was hurt. It was her everyone had dragged to safety... she wasn't going to let Niles suffer like she did. Finley begins carrying Niles almost bridal style, running off to safety, only looking back when the Basculin begins... scolding her? Whatever. But she definitely gets panicked when she hears a shot being fired.

WATER + FIRE = NOT GOOD!

She tries to jump to the right, and quickly runs off again, wordless.

Mila continues towards the noise, hurrying as best she can, and eventually ends up on the same street as the conflict, though a block away. She can make out Finley holding a body, though she can't tell what, as well as a burst of water being shot towards her from somewhere outside of her field of view. She continues to run over, feeling winded but refusing to give up after seeing Finley in danger. She wants to yell something, let Finley know, but she can't waste any energy. She just hopes that she won't have to fight.

"Yeah, it's really beaming now... Do you thinks it's cause of a pokemon?" I ask her.

"Oh, cool. Yeah, I'll take it."

Dieter fishes out 4700 Poke and puts it on the counter.

Slums

*getting frustrated by the chase, the Basculin stops and shouts* tHe oCEaN cLEaNs aLL... *and fires off a powerful Surf in all directions, enough so that it could end up flushing an city entire block...*

*unfortunately for her, however, the act has left her winded in the process*

Certainly doesn't seem natural... *"Sarah" posits, then says* ...eff it, service is slow here anyway. Let's check it out, y'know? *and she starts heading out of the restaurant*

"Uuuh..." I look at the counter and then to Sarah who is beginning to leave. "Well, maybe it'll be ready when we get back..." I say before joining her.

Finley is picked up by the wave, thrown onto the floor, but thankfully landing on top of Niles, acting as a sort of human shield. "I-I can't let her hurt..." She mutters, struggling to get off the floor.

Meanwhile, a Meowth looks on from behind. Same one to steal from Niles. "Wh-What the fuck?"

Travis's Metalworks

Thank you, neighbor! (Travis says. He looks to the Lairon.) Randall, be a pal and put that money in the safe.

(The Lairon does as he is told by Travis, stealing occasional glances at Rich's paper bags as he does so. After he puts the cash away in small metal safe hidden under a metal bowl, he goes back over to Rich and examines his paper bags.)

Hey, pal, why do you have those paper bags? Is something wrong with your hands? (Randall asks.)

Yes, as a matter of fact, there is. (Rich says to Randall.) Don't touch them, matey.

Why not? (Randall asks.)

You WILL regret it! You will know nothing but what I do for several minutes! (Richard says.)

Umm...okay... (Randall says. He gets up and lumbers over to Dieter and Milo as Travis wraps up working on the first glove.)

Hey, do you know what's up with your Tyranitar pal's hands? (Randall asks the two.)

Mila notices the wave and for a moment considers using a volt tackle or trying to paralyze the source, but she quickly reconsiders after the possibility of hitting Finley with the excess charge comes to her mind. However, remembering what had happened with electricity before, she fires off a Thunder Wave towards the Basculin to try to stun it and then allows the water to wash over her, creating a circuit where her body becomes the path of least resistance. She can only hope that her natural eletrically-attractive powers I.E. Lightning Rod will stop anyone else caught in the flood from being shocked as well.

"Uh... well, since he alluded to it... you'll apparently turn into a copy of him for 10 minutes."

Slums

*panting heavily, the Basculin is struggling to catch up with Finley and Niles...she fires an Aqua Jet once more...but what comes out is about as powerful as a squirt gun* yOU wOn'T gEt.......away.... *Mila's Thunder Wave ends up making it worse — not to mention. Realizing her predicament, she moves to flee, only to have something to snag on her dress. Forcing it away, it tears — revealing her torn tail fin*

Business District

*following the Sunny Day, she can finally say definitively* Yeah, that's totally not natural... *only for the crash of the surf to make it that far* ...waves?! I think mons are fighting over there! *she says to James, then starts running in that direction*
