ITT: We Have All Become Pokémon

"Ah, yes", said Noriaki, "It would be for the best."

He headed inside.

(I nod to Tilly before asking her a question.) How come we're going there? Not that I mind mercenary work mind you, just curious.

(Things are just gonna be at a stalemate until we reach outr destination then...)

"Oh, well. I'm gonna go back to sight seeing." I say and leave the group to return to the front of the ship.

I follow Noriaki inside and open a door to an empty room, heading in to find a place to sleep.

Upon looking, Noriaki realizes...

"Ah, well, it seems we'll have to be sharing a room once again", the Dartrix noted.

"Fine by me. There's two beds here, so no need for sleeping on the floor or yaoi fuel," I say, to the chagrin of others in the world.

Noriaki chuckles a bit and claims one of the beds.

"This is a modestly comfortable room, I must say."

"Y-yes. I have. Then I got lost, then met this Psyduck, then got lost again, then reunited with Mandy over here, then got found by a prince and invited on board..."

"y-yeah it's a long and irrelevant story."

"We're there because a'obligations, Grigs." [I slunk out from my spot near nowhere and saunter over towards Tilly and Grigori...I yawn...I'm not tired... I can't say I've really sat down and had a good conversation with Grigori, so this'll be a first. After all, we're a group, aren't we? We need to have some cohesion together.]

"The king there's come down with VA. A'think they're gonna have us try and find who's the vector, or the vector'll come'n find us. Prolly gonna be the latter, but who knows?"

I dolphin dive onto one of the beds and hit the frame with my head. "Ow... yeah, this is pretty nice." I rub my head and roll onto my back. "So, you still wanna talk or turn in for the night?"

(I look at the Smeargle attentively and asked a question in response.) I thought the island would be in shambles due to the virus considering it makes infectees go berserk. (While it might be due to it being some sort of early symptom, I had to be wary of how long it takes to get bad.)

Tilly

*Tilly tells Grigori* It is as Eliot stated, although... *she turns to look at the horizon — the two birds apparently no longer in view, adding* ...despite being in such dire straits, they treat us questionably and appear to have a far more draconian legal system than I remember. I fear that the risks may not outweigh the benefits with this one.

Lilly

*Lilly nods to F* That's so cool! Though the prince was lookin' for former humans all along — probably why y'all got special treatment.

*though with a sheepish expression, she admits* Not that I'm one of 'em, though! I'm uh...tangentially related to Jani, but from here no less than the Slaking running this ship! It's complicated...

"Mm, I think it would be best we sleep now, and prepare for tomorrow."

"Gotcha. Night, Nori." I wait until I eventually drift asleep.

"Well," [I reply to Grigs,] "apparently they've held him up in his throne room. They threatened me with putting me in there with him or some shit..." [Well...if they did, I may have a couple of ways I could end up escaping if they thought I was bluffing...or something...]

[I look where Tilly's looking...the two "stowaways" maybe?] "Well, hopefully, it's that these're just some asshole guards we're dealin' with, no decorum or whatever. Desperate times or some shit, people forget how to be civilized 'n all...though, like I said, I'm here if we all wanna just go back."

"I can see."

"Lemme jog my memory for a bit. Jani is... the Diglett, right?"

*Lilly nods to F, albeit still not knowing about the transfer orb, she still laments* ...yup. We should have been a Dugtrio by now, but she's kinda apprehensive. Though we only met each other a few days ago, and I kinda got off to an awful start...with everyone...

But enough depressin' stuff... *Lilly realizes she's only perpetuating her only foibles* ...I bet everyone's just waitin' to meet you again, even if half of 'em are asleep. *she looks around...figures at she'd remember Eliot. She starts moving that way, only to turn to F and suggest* C'mon over, you remember Eliot, right?

Marlon < > Marsha

(By this point we've both laid down in bed and are pretty much ready to sleep.)

Man, wonder what tomorrow's gonna bring us.

I dunno about yas Marly, but I hope dat these fellas don't treat yas any worse.

(Marsha is quickly asleep after this. I wrap my arms around her and soon after also fall asleep.)

"Ahh...."

"Well, hope you get a chance to do that. It's more likely than me being able to do stuff with computers, unless we run into some Porygon Virtual Paradise or something."

Hearing F's voice makes me pretty much freak out. "F? Is that you?"

Meanwhile, Council Building

…Humans?

You mean to tell me, that the Pokémon that helped us get our shit back, were humans? What kind of nonsense is this?

Yes, Don, that’s exactly it. It’s happened no less than four times before. Humans have suddenly turned into Pokémon without much explanation as to why they have ended up there.

(’’How is this possible? Did Triss know of this?’’)

(Don turns to his comrade Exploud:)

Do you know what these humans do? Are they same as the others?

(The Exploud clad in a robe steps off and heads for the back of the room. Afterwards, he pulls out a set of dossiers.)

(The Dossiers are labeled with the following:)

‘’The Lost Woods’’

‘’Yamorapu’’

‘’The Destruction of Hoard”

The commonality of what you’re seeing here?

(He cracks open all three dossiers and lays them before Don.)

The humans were involved in all three of these incidents.

So what are they?

They basically are the rescue teams that we saw in the past, but…

But what?

A certain Serperior and his cohorts attempted to trap them after the destruction of Hoard…

For what reason?

(The robed Exploud clambers his way on over to Don.)

They took part in a tournament, the humans. Despite being in the world for not even two weeks at that point in time, they all did extremely well, and if not for the Vectors, they could’ve won…

My point is, this Serperior and his comrades wanted their knowledge, what they’d learned in their world. About us. See, they have something called "mechanics" which has allowed them to know so much about our world this soon.

So....what do we do?

(The robed Exploud gains an evil smile.)

We want their knowledge, too.

(Don and the Robed Exploud discuss matters for a bit longer. Both decide to set a course for Hoard to see if they could meet with these mons...)

Ship, a brief time later

(About ten to twenty minutes later, as the party on deck discuss matters among themselves and those in the quarters sleep, something is brewing around them....)

Somewhere Near the Ship

*an exceptionally large Ursaring with a crudely made "Admiral's" hat bearing the Slak Kingdom naval emblem stands at the fore of his ship. Sheathed upon his back is a large, spiked and bloodstained bat — sheath exposing the rear side to make it easier for him to draw — albeit behooving his crew to avoid getting too close to his backside. His ship, comparable in size and compliment to the ones the humanmons are currently on, is armed with three cannon on either side. The main sail is also painted with a crude emblem of Slak Kingdom, although at a distance it more or less looks like the genuine article*

*through his telescope, "Admiral" Harry Horowitz views the ship of the King's brother — and alongside it is swimming a certain regal Wailord. Recognizing him right away, while noticing his lack of any kind of regalia, the "Admiral" orders his crew in a booming voice*

All hands on deck, on the ready! Turn to 11 o'clock and full speed ahead! We'll be interceptin' that bogey by the prince's ship — port cannon on the ready!

*like a well oiled machine, the crew gets to their posts — those asleep are roused from their slumber by their fellow crew, and before long, the deck is loaded with eager "naval officers". As the ship comes more into view, a wave of disappointment washes over them — seeing that it's the king's brother's ship, they realize a raid is unlikely. A few of them do internally question the legitimacy of this operation, but they are all fiercely loyal to their captain. It's not long before the ship is within cannon range*

Directly Outside the Ship

*it's not long before the sounds of the ocean are punctuated by loud cannon fire, followed by splashes as three cannonballs land around the Wailord prince. The force of these misses are still enough to rock the ship, and as such, they're most definitely going to have roused most of the inhabitants of the ship the humanmons are on*

My Characters

*on deck, Tilly and Lilly are roused from their various conversations etc.* What in tarnation was that?! *Lilly asks out loud to F, Eliot, James, and anyone else within earshot. Tilly responds in kind* ...pirates?!

*in her locked quarters, Sarah is briefly startled by the noise, dropping the mirror but luckily not breaking it (plus it only fell like a foot). She decides to ignore it and keep perfecting her persona* Plus I don't want my main around for my NPC's encounter. I'd be too tempted to use her to be leading.

Cyk finds her way to F

"Hey, you look familiar, dude".

(Not long after we fall asleep....)

BOOM!!!!

What was THAT?!?!

(Marsha, even in spite of being a heavy sleeper, is jolted awake by this.)

I dunno, Marly! Sounded like a big boom!

(We decide to stay in place for now.)
