Giving this thread a bump now that season 2's out.
Episode 1 was pretty meh, but I enjoyed episode 2 a lot for Vira, the main characters getting to hang out in formal dress at the banquet, and the fun world expansion just by populating the background with all the races and showing more of the Academy.
though I'm sad they didn't explicitly mention the really dumb detail of Albion just letting monsters loose all over the island to justify why there are so many sidequests
