I'm not going to disagree with you there, and I agree that there are overall issues with the way things were handled (making Conquest feel like it had a complete ending would have gone a long way for one...) but at the end of the day Revelations is a complete game in and of itself, and saying that it's DLC is disingenuous given the content of the game and its price.

There's no defending the Hidden Truth maps, though. That's actual garbage and not cool.

If we're talking story, no. Because there barely was one, and everything of note came from the Nohrian side.

Everything of note that tried and failed.

This is why I bought the Collector's Edition.

Unless you were lucky enough to get the collectors edition (which was super rare and more expensive), it was DLC, regardless of how big it was.

You still had to buy Conquest or Birthright first. You couldn't buy Revelations by itself. Therefore it's still DLC.

Okay, yes, by its purest definitions it is indeed Downloadable Content, in that it is content that you download.

It totally ignores literally everything else involving the production of the game and its content, but sure.

Still, it's no skin off my back if you choose not to play it over something as silly as that.

If someone didn't like Fate overall why on earth would they ever consider buying Revelation? By then they'll just youtube or wiki it.

It's still DLC and it has what's clearly intended to be the best ending in it, which just rubs me the wrong way.

Sorta related to Fates, but I feel bad for Benny, Rinkah, and the other Fates characters who aren't royals/retainers. All the alt spam has poisoned the well for them and they'll get shat on if they show up anytime soon.

Well yesterday I got Gunn from the ticket, so I don't really care who I get this time... Laevatein? OG Laevatein? I don't even care that she's -Atk, this is my first time getting her and her power is still disgusting. Also, I love these tickets. I got two 5* units last time with them, and two this time.

All the Routes are canon. Revelations getting the best end also results in a Bad End in Heirs of Fate, where Anankos goes on to invade all the Timelines where there is no Dragonestones.

The plot of Fates suffers from actually being one story thst they decided to turn into multiple routes, having different writers do each one separately with no coherent oversight, and churning out what we see.

Birthright implies the stuff directly shown in Conquest, which still doesn't give a big picture of anything and stull require Revelations to get more of it....and the you need the actual DLC because Whoopsies enjoy these map gimmicks instead of having a Plot in Valla! Teehee~

What the shit, I pulled an off banner Surtr def+ res- on the new year banner.

Fine, I get it, I'm not getting a new year Fjorm or Gunnthra. I'll hold on to my orbs a bit longer.

I'm thinking I either go all out on a beast unit, or that I blow all my orbs on the legendary banner.

Wait...I also got two 5*s from these tickets (Lief and NY!Laevatein). Is this a common occurrence?

I can't wait for Fates to eventually get remade in 15 years so they can sort out all the narrative issues and make it a really good game. And get people to stop shitting on it.

Yea, there's really nothing that hasn't been said already about the game by now

I've done some more summoning and its been quite generous to me. I've got a +Atk/-Res NY!Gunnthra and Fjorm and a +Hp/-Res Brave Ephraim.

Which makes me glad 3H is eventually coming out so we can move on.

I feel like I'm lucking out with the VG for multiplier + bonus abuse. I only have last year's units and went with Corrin, who's now up against Azura.

Welp, off-banner Takumi.

I have a good IV Takumi whose been merged once already, so maybe I'll see about giving someone Close Counter. Off the top of my head, I could use it for...

• Dr. Sakura: Close Counter Sakura build, I have a +Def Sakura already that's begun her merging process to eventual +10 status.
• Close Counter Henry: Henry is one of my favorite Fire Emblem characters and one of my absolute favorite characters period, so I want to make him work even if he is bad in this game. I know a good build for this is a +Def Henry with CC and QR 3. The issue with this is that I know he'll desperately need merges before he can be especially useful and I don't think I have a +Defense Henry lying around, but I could check for that. I have a Neutral Henry, but Henry is one hero I don't think I can just run something that will "just do" effectively.
• Halloween Henry: I know this is a very good idea, but here's the issue; My Halloween Henry is -Defense. His Defense stat is still somewhat respectable and maybe a weapon refinery focused on defense + Close Defense Seal could help patch that up, but I'm still wary about that, especially since I can't exactly just happen to get one with better IV by pure luck since he's limited availability.
• Julius: Not much to say, really. He just makes it work.

I should also mention, I still have that other free Takumi to upgrade and fodder for Close Counter as well.

I'm kinda surprised Gunnthra is doing pretty well overall. Especially considering she is against what I assume is one of the popular siblings.

Gunn has god-tier art. That alone gets her a lot of fans.

Speaking of Gunnthra, I been thinking about if I should make a Nifl Tactics team or not ( Considering Hrid and Gunnthra's default C slots are chosen with their B slots in mindnvm) and if so which of them should have Attack/Defense/Res Tactics (Yglr already comes with Speed Tactics)

What so awful about her original art? In the last voting gauntlet she had least amount of vote among Nifl siblings.

It really shouldn't matter too much but I would give it Gunnthra since I don't think she all that viable for her ploy skill.
