Square Enix making Marvel games

Except Taskmaster from this game looks different from the one in PS 4's Spider-man.

Yeah like I said, not in an official capacity. I just think they'll reference it quite a bit.

There's something off about this game that doesn't make excited for it. I don't know if this because games rarely live up to trailers or it's that the lack of co-op I'm seeing so far. Gotta see more about this.

Either way, this game doesn't look nearly as boring as some people are making it out to be. Thor's & Cap's designs feel off.

What I like: Crystal Dynamics has done some pretty stellar work for the Legacy of Kain series, the Tomb Raider reboot, and the Tomb Raider reboot reboot. I have a lot of confidence in their abilities.

What I don't like: I'm hearing that Avengers is going to be a "live service" akin to Destiny or Anthem. Ewwww....

My reaction to the trailer, specifically: cool movie, bro. Not gonna get hyped until I see actual gameplay. And no, the movie being made using the game's engine does not change the fact that no part of it represents actual gameplay.

It’s all going to be free, apparently. They said that on the SE conference. And no, there was tiny bits of gameplay without the UI in there, eve; if it was just movement. Still mostly cinematic trailers, but at this point, I don’t really care if a trailer is cinematic or not as long as it has an interesting concept.

I’m about 85% sure the narrator is Kamala Kahn because the perspective seems to be a new hero Putting the Band Back Together, and people like her for the most part unlike some other candidates I can think of.

Unless it’s a new hero.

Plus it's allegedly the same voice actress that does Kamala's voice in other Marvel stuff.

Huh I just now realize this game might end up a bigger budget version of that Marvel Heroes online game.

I'm curious if we are gonna get story content too and I'm curious how many heroes will be in the base game to see how they affect the story.

I will be very happy if Kamala is the Viewpoint Protagonist.

I'll be less happy if the protagonist doing the narration is "Your Create-a-Character", the main character of most Live Services games.

It looks like Kamala shows up briefly in the footage they showed at Comic-Con◊.

Yea, after watching this trailer I think I'm gonna pass up this game after all.

It's not like they did anything wrong & I personally think Kamala is by far the best new Marvel character out there, but nothing in the trailer made me care about anything that's happening in the game. It also made me realize that the only Marvel I'm into are the X-Men & Spider-Man. Everyone else always made feel indifferent to "Hey, that guy is cool". So unless for some reason Spidey, some X-Men, or some random guest character are in the game then I'm just not interested.

Looks like Kamala will be the main protagonist, in an angle they were leaning into with the first trailer (a new hero helps put the band back together).

The customization part is interesting. Wonder how many outfits you can get.

So the comic prequel for this game came out today. Seems like Bruce Banner is dating Monica Rappaccini, who in the comics is one of the Scientist Supreme of AIM.

Turns out that May release ain't happening. Marvel's Avengers has been bumped to September 4th.

Probably for the best. Honestly, we've heard surprisingly little about the game even though it was supposed to come out in May.

I'm pleased to see more games being pushed back rather than rushed out or crunch'd out.

Crunch is still a possibility unfortunately.
