I thought to use differenr contrast paints for Prosecutor wings to get nice white base and a bit of blue on them. Either Pylar Glacier or Asurmen Blue. Would any of these work?
I will become a great writer one day! Hopefully..., Thank you
I mostly have Army Painter paints and not many of them. I only have about 10-12 paints and mix all other colors i need on the palette, to ensure the colors work together next to each other on the model.
From a quick google search i think i would go the route of a white base and then multiple layers of very watered down blue paint (Dracolich scales in my case), while being careful to only brush towards the "wingbone" to get a whitening effect towards the tip of the "feathers". At least that would be my plan, not sure if i could actually pull that off^^

I think I finally found a better paints for it - Fenrisian Grey and Drakenhof Nightshade.
[EDIT]: Nevermind. I’m gonna use Citadel guide for Yndrasta’s Wings regarding Prosecutor wings. Corax White, Fenrisian Grey, Apothecary White and Russ Grey.

I will become a great writer one day! Hopefully...@Samaldin's Treelord S Spirit of Durthu. They both look great
Got some photos of some models done at last. Here is a Raider I painted for my Obsidian Rose Drukhari. The scheme is a bit of an arse but it turned out okay in the end (why do I always choose overcomplicated colour schemes). I am also very happy with the freehand Kabal rune on the sail, even if it is a bit small.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellCool! I like the TRON-esque red-on-black details on these Dark Eldar.
Double-post: Like most hobbyists I have several boxes worth of miniature bits, cheap toys, and lots of random junk I’ve accumulated over the years. I also have lots of old sprues left from previous projects. Recently I saw a few videos with Brent from Goobertown Hobbies discussing what to do with old sprues, which made me think about rebuilding an old miniature based on the Undead Bone Horror from Age of Wonders.

Looks cool Must have taken ages.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellNot really, actually. I have very limited time to craft, but in total it took me a few hours to build, especially as I had to force myself to stop adding new bits. The painting likewise took maybe a few hours, in small batches.
Cool.
Here is a Thousand Sons Tactical Marine that I painted as a test for my possible Horus Heresy Traitor force. I forgot to dust him before taking the photo but I think he turned out quite well.
EDIT: It would help if I added the link

Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellI'm on the fence whether I prefer the pre-Heresy or post-Heresy look of the Thousand Sons, but they do look quite heroic in red. I quite like your paintjob, with the contrast between the red and the metals, especially how the bronze-like gold gives it a warm radiance. It also hits me that if the pre-Heresy Thousand Sons are painted without any Egyptian symbols, then the Mk 3 Marines would make for excellent space-commies.
Thanks. I like both the pre and post heresy look of the Thousand Sons, but think I like pre better overall (red is better than blue).
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellHere is an Epic-scale Scythes of the Emperor Land Raider that I painted recently because I hadn't painted anything that size for a while.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellHow big is this compared to your average toy car? The black-and-yellow paintjob reminds me of a quote from one of the Brawndo commercials:
"It's like an ice cream truck full of angry bees!"
It's approx. 3.5cm long and 2cm wide (not counting the sponsons).
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellOkay, so it's roughly half the size of an average Hot Wheel. That makes the paintjob more impressive, because I had no point of reference.
Yeah, as much as I loved the Epic games, the size of the models made them an arse to paint. Each individual stormboy on these bases for instance are probably around 6 to 7mm tall.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellDouble post for some Deathmarks I painted recently. I painted their cowel-like torso black so that they looked a bit like executioners.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellI really like those. The contrasts between black, green and bronze work well to bring out the details and shapes. It helps that these Necrons are quite buff, so they look like a robotic security force in a sci-fi comic.
Here’s a model I finished painting before I got really sick - Age of Sigmar’s Vandus Hammerhand: https://imgur.com/gallery/fFcRIVY
It was my first time ever painting Ao S model. I felt so proud when I finally finished him. I had to correct some things a couple of times.
That's a good first attempt, especially considering how intricate and busy the first generation of Stormcast were. I can more clearly see what this one looks like than in most official pictures by GW.

Thanks
That's great, especially Calanax's scales.
Knowledge is Power, Guard it WellThanks. It was the first time I ever did dry brushing technique (I used it on the scales, like in the old GW guide how to paint Vandus and his steed). If I can use the same technique on other Dracoths, then I can buy Stormcast cav no problem.
I will become a great writer one day! Hopefully...My players have already fought the simulacrum of my current BBEG, which happened to be the first mini i ever painted. So since i am going to need a second version of the mini (one for the simulacrum and one for the real one) i decided to do a little check on how i improved in the year since i started mini-painting
Nice! There is a clear development, with the paints looking much thinner. I also see that you're working on OSL for this one.

Nice! Flocking and such things are a simple yet effective way to elevate your base. I like to use hemp-rope and yarn that I've dyed green.
I mostly use cheap craft paints, with a little GW and Army Painter paints mixed in. I might use Kantor Blue as a base and then put layers of increasingly lighter blues, before I put on some Skull White. Another option is to use a very watered-down blue wash on top of white.
