So there are seven Grand Relics, apparently seven Red Robes, and Magnus made the chalice. Any speculation on which bird he is? Or on which Relics Taako and Merle may have made if they are Red Robes, as implied?
Because I'm just going to go ahead and place my chips on Magnus being the Protector. And on Merle making the Gaia Sash based on nothing but him sweet talking that vine. Both seem like kind of gimmes.

Jesus Christ I will never in my entire life be over that. Ever. "those are the arms that have held my wife" should be engraved on my fucking tombstone because even if I die in 50 years it'll be partly responsible for my demise.
Also in feelsy news, going back through Petals to the Metal knowing Taako's backstory is goddamn brutal. "The mongoose has special receptors that make it immune to venom", he's fucking FURIOUS they can't do anything to save Hurley, he almost falls for the thrall for the first and only time (even though it's a dice roll fumble and Justin plays it off as a goof), and Taako is really distant for the rest of the arc. Like, fuck. You couldn't have planned most of that better.
... But this is all really depressing, so. Moment that made you laugh the hardest? Mine is without question extracting the Philosopher's stone.

For me it's Taako obtaining the Raging Flaming Poisoning Sword of Doom. Maybe it's the unexpectedness, the cleverness, the sheer gall, or that it was the payoff to multiple arcs of buildup, whatever it was it had me literally rolling around on the floor laughing.

Kind of interesting that Taako's whole 'trust no one and believe in nothing' rant was because he found out that Magnus was hiding stuff from him. And then he goes along with Magnus anyway. So I think you are 100% on the money.
Also, I saw that comic before I was caught up on TAZ so I'm only now noticing that Magnus is looking at his wedding ring. Ow.

Honestly I think most of that rant was the sheer amount of fuckery Taako was dealing with, like Goddamn. So much fuckery.
Taako also outright snaps at Magnus because he's frantically trying to bluff a way for him to stay on the moon long term, so. Taako cares a bunch ya'll

Oh they are. Like, really bad. You can gauge how Not Okay Magnus is by counting how often he talks about Julia and him bring it up independently.... That's baaaad. Taako is (as previously discussed) way off balance and Merle thinks Pan is dead. Only reason it hasn't settled in harder is our dear friend BBJ and the ticking countdown to End Game. Not to mention none of them were introspective types to begin with.
