Searching for somewhere to stay
As Patrick continued to ride off, he came upon an apartment building. He got a weird vibe from it. Strangely familiar......Curious, he started to try and get closer, but the horse was having none of it. So, he hopped off, and started walking towards it. As he did, the vibe started to remind of spiders....
He had a dawning moment of realisation. "Hunter's here...." He thought about, and nodded. She could help him out. He hoped anyway.

Conrelia very carefully climbed the stairs, being quite happy to not fall... only to hear a metallic shattering sound shortly after she arrived, startled she turned around, only to see Sammy lying face first one the floor. She turned around, stretching out a hand to the slime "Are you alright?" She sounded genuinly concerned as she said that.

Sammy was a bit embarrassed as she used Cornelia's hand to pull herself up.
"Yeah, I'm alright. Just dizzy. I got sloshed around in here quite a bit." She stopped for a minute. "Okay, yeah, I'm good. Lead the way!"

"You're sweet to offer," Roisin said. "I just might take you up on that."
The banshee strolled away from city hall and towards the downtown area proper. It had a decent amount of shops, enough that she and Jack could be looking all day.
She glanced around and picked a store at random- a two-story building with some kind of green slime on the steps. "Want to check that place out?"

Cornelia nodded as she turned around again (trying to not hit Sammy with her back as she did so). "Now, this is your room then." She pointed to a door on the left "Bathroom's right besides it, and although you said you didn't need it: Kitchen's on the left, if you ever want to eat some human food again you can here... but you probably won't fiond chairs in there anymore since... well... I didn't think I'd use them anymore."

Having had some time to recuperate Leith was now about ready to face the world again. She tucked the phone back into her handbag and then spent a few minutes packing away the frozen foods. She didn't really need to, what with how her digestive system worked now, but like many human habits it brought her comfort to do so.
With that done she slipped on her bag and then navigated her way back out of the apartment, now solely focused on getting from there to the library. She didn't much care for stairs and so instead crawled down the wall to the ground floor.

Leith froze in her path- would have toppled to the ground without her innate balance- at the sight of Patrick. Shock quickly melted into indignation as she scuttled onto horizontal ground and towards him.
"Did you not hear me? I said to not follow me home." Her words were tinged with a hiss, more spider than it was human.

Sammy delightedly walked into the room Cornelia had pointed out. As she walked in, the centaur said something about not having chairs.
"That's fine, I don't really need to sit either. I mean, it's not like I have to put any effort into standing with this armor doing the work for me."
Just then, Sammy heard a bell ring. Was someone at the door? She'd check it out herself, but there was no way she could get this armor back down the stairs without taking a tumble.

Jack had nodded. "Sure!... although there does seem to be a bit of a mess on the steps." He drifted over there and inspected it. "Maybe a kind of... jello monster?" He suggested, shrugging. "Still, if they're monster friendly, it'll probably be a good place to shop."
Wooze looks at Glass with a 'please take her away' look"I did no such thing," Patrick called holding up his hands, "honest to God himself, I came here completely by accident. The horse brought me after he tried to stir up trouble at the protest. Bloody jackass....." The cold, malicious whinny of the horse was like laughter. Patrick kept his attention in Leith. "So, Hunter, perhaps you could help me out maybe? Give a place to stay? And no need to worry about old black heart over there, he can sleep outside." The horse grunted.

Leith didn't feel any better about the horse stalking her than if it had been Patrick, and it showed in her unflinching scowl. "No. It's a one-tenant apartment. My landlords wouldn't allow it."
With practised delicacy she fished out a card and held it out for Patrick. It was white and mostly blank, save for a single URL in a plain font. "That is for a monster support network. There's a sub-fora on the site specifically for monsters seeking residency. Usually it's empty lots that the owner will turn a blind eye to, but occasionally there's someone willing to let one of us bunk with them."
Whether he took the card or not, she'd turn her hide and continue her walk towards the library.
they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGobPatrick did take the card of course, but....
"Right! Now....where are you going? Cause I need to use a computer for this. Don't have a phone...."
The horse sniggered again. Patrick turned to it. "Watch yer language, you jackass! And no, I don't!"

Roisin nodded and opened the shop's door, stepping inside.
It wasn't quite what she expected, although then again she wasn't quite sure what she expected. Definitely not armor and swords.
She gingerly poked the tip of a blade. "Wow. Think these are real?"

"The library." Leith didn't say anything beyond that- didn't ask about his lack of belongings or offer to let him tag along, but also didn't shoo him away either. Too much hassle, and now she knew there was no guarantee that his steed wouldn't just tag along anyway.
Instead she just scuttled down the path, noticing and ignoring the occasional stare that their strange appearances attracted.
they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGob"'Kay. And where is the Library?" Patrick followed after Hunter. He tried to ignore the stares, but he felt violated every time he saw someone boring into him. He hated it with a passion.
The horse was....patient.

Leith didn't answer for a good minute, long enough for it to seem like she wouldn't. "Ten minutes walk. Print out a city map while you're there."
And back into silence, save the rhythmic tap of eight feet against the ground.

Patrick followed quietly behind Hunter, a bit perplexed. "You're not much for talking are you?" He asked. She seemed to be rather anti-social. He could understand why she would be, considering her appearance.

Cornelia also heard said door, getting back to the stair and carefully making her way down, again managing to not fall. She looked outside, although the slime on the door made it difficult.

Two of Leith's eyes swivelled to Patrick, though again one of them was a bit off-kilter. "I don't like idle chatter, no." As evidenced by her non-committal mumbling to any questions or conversation after that. She might've felt a little bad about it if she weren't weighed down with lethargy.
...and There
The library was three floors tall, with warm light pouring out of large windows and a prominent (if somewhat tacky) "Monsters welcome!" sign plastered on the front door. Leith paused before going in, using a leg to point vaguely at the front of the building. "The librarian won't mind where you park your horse."

Patrick couldn't help the laughter when Hunter told him to 'park his horse.' His head almost came off, before he was able to control himself. He turned back to the beast. The horse had followed him, and was now sitting in the grass. It unnerved Patrick to see him so calm, but he decided to let it slide. "I think he'll be alright, lass. He doesn't like it when you tell where he should park," he giggled at the last part, before entering the library after Hunter. "Tell me," he asked, "are you enjoying your life right now?"

Henry looked down at the ground, squinting. Sunlight was uncomfortable, to put it one day; even the lamp lights made his eyes ache a bit. He was a few meters from the edge of the forest sitting next to a tree, leaning on it, which was pointless since he wasn't actually touching it. He hadn't been able to touch anything - anything - since he had died. Instead he was simply sort of floating in the position that an actual person would sit. He felt like some sort of noclipping video game character; he had to make an effort to not constantly walk a half inch underground or through trees.
That was another thing to add to his long list of complaints, up there with not being able to read or talk with people - he couldn't touch things. He waved his transparent hands under his eyes, curling his fingers. What did touch even feel like? Man, that was going to annoy him for days, trying to remember. It would be drive him more crazy then when he tried to remember what chocolate tasted like. God, he missed food. And talking to people. That one was important.
In fact, he planned to go into town tonight. He might hate what he was - he couldn't even sleep, and that in particular irritated him - but he couldn't stay out here forever. Not to mention what he did to that poor couple who had gone for a late night walk.... but that was exactly why he had to go in. He was still human, even if it was debatably so. He would have to look down so as to avoid bright lights, or possibly stick to the poorer parts of town, but he had heard of other people like him. Yes, friends... he just had to wait.

Jack studied a realistic looking shield. "Possibly. I'd pick one up, but I'm afraid it might have silver in it, and that wouldn't really feel nice," he joked. "Though they do look like they're something a knight or warrior would use."

Marcus glided between the trees, still in his undisguised form. He enjoyed solitary spots like this, as it gave him a place to just relax and practice his magic without fear of being spotted by Humans.
Huh...since when did I start thinking of humans as a separate species? He wondered, idly turning a loose pebble into an opal and back into stone. Damn, maybe I'm getting too used to being a Jinn now. Thank the stars I don't have to deal with the "three-wishes" thing...
Outside City Hall
Jack nodded, a smile on his face (well, there would have been a smile on his face if he could actually smile. And if anyone could have actually, you know, have seen it.) He followed after Roisin, making sure that he didn't hover above the ground.
"Oh, if you want, I can carry your case for you when we're inside a building," he offered. "I'm not saying you're not capable, of course," he hurried to explain, "but in the dark, or in a building, I'm pretty strong. And that's the kind of things friends do for each other, right?"
