So what does this entail exactly? Seems like a small trivia which itself is subjective in nature, as we don't know if it's really the case. In cartoons for instance, it's far enticing to say, draw a funny animal than a human, and even then you'd still see cartoonish humans. I'd argue that animals are more complicated than the basic human drawing too.
There's even an argument against it - kemonomimi exist though, and I laugh at the Sliding Scale of Anthropomorphism claiming that Little Bit Beastly is "less lazier". If anything it's more, as it's just giving ears and tail to a human character in an attempt to humanize an animal.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.
