Ya know, since Emma and Ray and rest of the group never really learned truth about Sung-Joo, I don't think they never had chance to learn how competent he is either [lol] So Norman probably couldn't have prepared for this occasion

I wonder, if things will go as easily as you guys think.

But man, I remember people speculating that Don and Gilda are actually going to outfox Norman, and in the end they got totally blindsided by the comic relief kid.

Seriously?

Anyway, I guess its possibly Norman has everything planned out, but I don't think he has ever been portrayed as perfect all knowing bs maneuver person [lol]

It’s been theorized that Norman is actually underestimating the demons on account of his forces only ever going after the demons seen in low-level factories who are basically security guards, & workers.

He hasn’t faced too much noble level demons like Lewis who are kinda unstoppable & so assumes they are all easy to beat when that’s false.

Also this is the proper meme. tongue

[up][up][up]Considering how a point has been hammered in that these guys think that Norman is perfect and can't be mistaken about anything, I think hammering in the point that's not the case with a situation he didn't see coming and couldn't prepare them for is very appropriate.

The real question is if Sun-joo will kill them all, just a few, or if Don and Gilda will convince him to spare all of them. I'd imagine the last one is the least likely.

Go the Batman route and give them debilitating injuries that make them wish he had killed them instead.

They also put a knife to whatshername's throat, so I guess they were at least somewhat aware of what was going on with her.

I'm thinking Sung-Joo is going to win, but die in the process. Aisha will probably go down as well.

[up]That's not really him "winning" then, is it? And why would she die?

Dunno… Unless the kids are all modified superhumans in some way, I don't see how they could be a threat to a Leuvis-level demon… though they could use the fact that he has to protect Mujika while fighting (if she can't fight on her own).

Sung-joo is likely superdemon. He's fought and protected Musica for ages.

He's likely Lewis tier even considering Lewis knew the two.

"Winning", as in defeating all of the Lambda experiments and keeping Musica alive, but dying after the battle.

As for Aishe, I'm thinking that she might die mostly because we just saw her backstory and there's not a lot of space for her in the narrative after this.

Itls ending soon there's no reason to kill her off just for that.

If thats the case culling most of the kids should have been a thing long before this.

That just sounds like a really bad reason to kill off one of the few potentially interesting characters this story has.

She hasn't even really amounted to anything that would justify her existing in the first place.

Hell, a human child raised and loved by a demon is the exact kind of story that gets in the way of Norman's discourse.

It just feels weird to me to introduce her and have her whole backstory this late into things without trying to get something out of it, other than a bait-and-switch for the traitor, so I figured that was her point. A counterpoint to Norman and a tragic sacrifice.

Yeah it makes no sense to kill Aishe. And I think there is no chance Sung-Joo dies to these guys.

Either it's symbolism, or it's for the shippers.

Bad enough to ship a thirteen year old with anyone. It's even worse to ship said thirteen year old with someone who only looks to be around the same age but is far, far older.
