Oliver: They don't know about Santa?

...not surprising, actually.

Roy: "Santa? Oh, yeah, that bearded guy we rescued on Earth, right?"

Asagi: Yeah. They know a lot of kami, but not much about the jollyful bearded man who rewards good children with presents. It's so weird, innit?

Roy: "Yup!"

Asagi: ...That reminds me, did we really even celebrate Christmas together? Or was that just me hanging decorations over your cryotubes and praying Santa can make it through all the screaming horrors outside?

Roy: "I kind remember giving gifts to each other once. I was barely prepped to give everyone presents." >_<

"And....I really don't want to be in that VR thing again.....frickin' glitched into a white void."

Asagi: Then we should prepare this time! Give ourselves a proper Christmas time!

Lisa: Getting ready for Christmas, huh? Hm... well, first we need a tree, right?

-Lisa then spun around and was enveloped by snow and Christmas magic. One transformation sequence later, she was in her Christmas tree cosplay costume◊-

Lisa: Ta-da!

Quartz: Are Christmas trees actually supposed to be worn?

Asagi: Perfect!

-Her little puppets clap for Lisa's amazing ensemble. It's probable the little fox peasant childrens clap, just because they don't know any better and a samurai doing tricks is great-

Lisa: Not usually, but I'm breaking the mold this year!

Plus, I have to justify my impulse purchase of this costume somehow.

Roy: "Hey, should we mention about gifting and stuff to the kiddos?"

-Oliver simply pulls out a tiny magnetic Christmas tree and clamps it onto his head-

-It begins flashing red and blue-

Asagi: I told them if you leave an offering to the great Sanda-san, he'll reward you with presents. It fits in fine with how they do things here. >.>

Oliver: Give a gift, get a gift.

Pretty smart.

Roy: "Does Santa still accept cookies and milk in this day and age?"

Asagi: I think so. I know I would. Cookies are delish.

Oliver: I think the idea of cookies and milk as sacrifices has been around as long as Santa has.

-Upon hearing those words, Asagi's eyes widen and she adopts a monotone form of speaking-

Asagi: There are many origins for the proper appeasement formulae regarding sating the winter harvest figure's need for worship and a sign of proper worship. Cookies and milk are but one of millions. One that happens to be rather pleasing to the taste buds.

Oliver: Any other good ideas for sacrifices to the Great Lord Kringle, then?

Asagi: Dependent entirely upon your preferred traditions and the form the frost figure takes. Elven blood is one of the most ancient of traditional sacrifices. But if failure of procurement, chocolates and wines are noted to serve as an acceptable substitute. And hams.

Roy: "Well, my family did offer him some freshly baked country pie a few times, Old Nick loves it too."

Oliver: Sounds perfectly reasonable.

-Those in the room who are not kids can tell Oliver knows what Asagi is talking about with that-

-A couple of days later, Omar is helping bring down the Christmas ornamentation (mostly for his own amusement, as he can't even pretend this is a holiday he would celebrate under normal circumstances) while the samurai dog girl known as Momonga is doing some shopping for...something-

-And Asagi...well, fox girl's been acting disturbingly lucid the past few days, and she's practicing sword fighting on a training dummy out back-

-Oliver is helping Omar take down the Christmas ornamentation-

-Elana, in the meanwhile, is watching Asagi swordfight-
