Asagi: That was a game that had a controller that was almost vaguely like an actual mecha controller interface. Aka it was a huge honking controller almost as big as this pod is.

Ges: Sooo, missile launcher? Are we gonna be able to afford that?

-Once you get into the pod and get yourself comfortably seated, the top of it closes in and for a moment you are encapsulated in darkness-

-Then the screens lining the inside of the cockpit light up and display a vibrant environment, with a strange shuttle-like fighter sniping what look like drones out of the sky with rockets-

-Welcome to SKY ROGUE HD: ARCADE EDITION-

-As the screen helpfully informs you, this is currently set up in DEMO MODE, so free play is available on one mission at the moment-

-A small infographic of the full setup is displayed; two of the pods are lit up green, the one you're in and (presumably) the one Oliver stepped into-

-The game helpfully informs you to pull the trigger on your flightstick when you are ready to begin play-

-It's pretty obvious Momonga does not play video games too often, as her tail appears to be wagging-

-After Asagi actually rights herself and gets properly in the seat, she looks all around the cockpit as she grabs the flight stick-

Bruce: -Puts the lightgun in its holster and strolls over to watch-

Suzu: I think.... to both of those.

There not really that much more expensive then the custom ACPR rounds we have been using.

-You do manage to grab the flightstick-

-It's to your right, with your left hand intended to grasp the accelerator. There's quite a few buttons on both of them; the flightstick has a trigger as well as what looks like buttons to select different weapons, as well as a 'WING MODE' button. Whatever that means-

-The accelerator is simpler, and just has a button for afterburners-

-The cockpit in front of you is largely a touchscreen display, that is repeating the same things that are being shown on the screen in front of you-

-A lot of the other buttons don't look entirely necessary, but there are a few nifty ones, like a switch to open the cockpit for when you want to leave-

-And there is a handle between your legs, that is probably for ejecting, whether from your plane in the game, or the pod in reality-

Oliver: [So, uh... you think anyone else is coming? I'm looking outside and I'm not too sure.]

-Bruce can easily tell Momonga is not very good at the game, given that her shots are not well-timed-

-But every single ship she actually hits gets the reaction one expects from a kid happy to skip a stone across the pond-

Momonga: This is a much brighter game than the one Barbara has shown me, Bruce.

Bruce: Yeah. As cool as it was, the Game Boy was not very advanced, even for the time.

-You pull the trigger. A moment later, Oliver pulls his as well-

-The scene changes. You're now "sitting" on the deck of a flying aircraft carrier, though it looks more minimalistic than the helicarriers you've seen - it's just a regular carrier with two large engine pods each at the front and back. The conning tower is painted a deeper blue than you might expect from a game like this-

-The main game display now says "SELECT ONE". The left and right touchscreens now have things on them! On the left side are five buttons;-

• medium airframe - Perfectly balanced, as all things should be
• light airframe - High mobility and high agility
• swing-wing airframe - Technical aircraft, with a high skill ceiling
• heavy airframe - Powerful weapons and high durability
• experimental airframe - Excellent stats and unique weapons

-The right merely has three, in the meanwhile;-

• fighter - Multirole vehicles that can attack all targets
• interceptor - Powerful computers; sweep the skies of all challengers
• bomber - Large payload capacity; raze the land and salt the earth
