Got a ton of shinies, and two decent normal ones

Got lots of shinies with absolutely bad IV.

Also is Earth Power worth it over Sand Tomb spam?

I just got one; 13 CP. I already got a shiny Gible from a raid months ago, though, so I'm not too torn up about it.

Ugh, why did they change the flying pokemon animation during the Legends Y update? Normally they'd be on the ground so when they eat they transition with the animation fine, but now they do this weird transition from flying to the ground.

got 7 shiny gible, all of them with crap ivs tho

aside from evolving two of them for collection purpose (one to gabite, one to garchomp), I also evolved two of my actually good non-shiny gible.

I have about 800 regular Gible sitting in my box waiting for trade. Picked up 22 shiny Gibles from playing the entire time (which is nothing compared to some of the people in my raid chats who came away with over 40 on a single account).

It's like every update fixes and breaks something.

Two with near perfect IVS and high level, so I evolved and fully powered up both to Garchomp and they're by a significant amount my strongest Pokemon. Three Shinies with terrible IVS, and enough candy to evolve one any of them fully. So yeah. Pretty successful for me.

Thank god I had a ton of balls. I'm currently down to... eight Ultra Balls at the moment. That's it. I had over a hundred tobegin with, plus a lot of the other two ones.

It's amazing how the gap between mainline and Go generation slowly is closing.

In terms of generation, yeah, since we have Galarian forms already, so Niantic is kinda doing Gen 8 stuff already

But in terms of contents for each generation, maybe no XD

We're still missing some of Gen 5 and Gen 6 Pokemon, and we don't even have any Gen 7 Pokemon yet. Also, the only Gen 8 stuff so far are the regional forms of old Pokemon, which....may not count for some people, I guess?

We do have Mr. Rime and Obstagoon, which I would definitely count as Gen 8 Pokemon even if they are evolutions of regional variants.

We also still don't have Klecon or whatever it is from gen 3.

Go's code generally has issues with stuff that can have dynamic forme change. Supposedly there's been new code added to do a compromise where you click a button and pay resources to change it, but it's yet to be implemented. So I'm going to be skeptical until it's live—especially since a feature of Purified Pokemon that should have been implemented, but never was, is the damage multiplier against Shadow Pokemon. Instead, Purified Pokemon are just a joke that trainers grind and send away for the monthly Rocket stuff.

A lot of stuff Go has that was lifted from the main games are also aggravating, like a bunch of needless animation (e.g. egg hatching and evolution graphics).

I finally finished part 2 of the Shiny Mew research tasks. I needed one last Ice type and was hoping to find Sierra, but a nearby Rocket Spot had a grunt with a Shadow Spheal, which did the trick.

I've also managed to complete the Slowpoke collection task. I managed to get a pretty good Galarian Slowpoke from a Field Research task.

Part 3 just as much as a pain in the dick as part 2 was. Doing 151 research tasks and collecting 1510 Pokemon is absurd.

Eh, it's not like I'm in any hurry to get Shiny Mew. At least I won't have to be seeking out specific Pokemon, and it can be something I just leave in the background while playing as usual. Still definitely feels like a chore, just not a chore I'm in any hurry to finish.

Huh, just saw that Galarian Slowpoke requires you to catch 30 Poison Types in order to evolve it into Galarian Slowbro. Here's hoping we don't have to catch 60 Poison Types to evolve it into Galarian Slowking once the latter arrives in Go.

A lot of the time I just kinda forget about permanent research tasks until I complete them accidentally. Some of the requirements are just silly.

Although speaking of that, I still need to do a trade for some of them. Just so awkward and inconvenient to do.

Yea, never mind the tasks, I even forgot what were the permanent researches are for lmao

Literally a few months ago I was wondering why this one permanent research asked me to take a photo of Victini when I don't even have one yet......it took like, maybe 5-6 weeks later for me to remember the "beat giovanni" task on the other permanent research I haven't complete yet, is the one that gives Victini

Would it really kill them to make the collection challenge "here's the pokemon, doesn't matter how you get it"? Sure, I can still catch Slowbro and Slowking, but no, if you want them to count for the challenge you gotta spend the candy to evolve a new one...

And I happened to hatch a Slowpoke before I saw one in the wild. Nope, doesn’t count. But one spawned immediately afterward anyway.

Ugh, as someone who doesn't like PVP, I'm not fond of research tasks requiring you to participate in the Leagues...especially when it specifies a specific league, and said league is not available at the moment. I'm definitely wishing that we didn't need to participate in Great League specifically for the Shadow Ho-oh research task.

On the bright side, I managed to catch a pretty good Regigigas recently. I doubt I'll encounter a shiny one for this event, which is kind of a shame; Shiny Regigigas is one of the few Pokemon where I like the shiny color scheme more than the regular color scheme.

At this point, I only play Pv P when a research task requires it.

If you are talking about the PVP task included for the recent Rocket event, you can battle a friend and it'll count.

The friends I have don't play Go anymore haha. And the ones in faraway don't seem to like battling even for a mock battle. I'll resort to borrowing a relative's phone. At what level can someone fight pvp?
