I"m reasonably sure Hoenn's was situated above the raid timed research on my daily tab, which is part of why I was so confused earlier.

The Johto timed research is apparently a two-stepper, which is going to be annoying, because the second step wants each specific Rocket leader. Sure, there's two weeks to complete it, but it takes two days to get the components and fight one without going out and actively seeking more stops. Seems like another bad pandemic implementation.

So I completely missed the Hoenn elite capture quest? What the heck? I swear to God, I never even saw it anywhere in my 3 menus of quests for that entire week!

Well, after all my dread about Johto after Hoenn and Sinnoh, it was arguably the easiest to complete (incense helped, but I was honestly expecting it to take until a larvitar raid spawned to finish it, not from a incense spawning it) aside from maybe Unova.

Which means Kanto will either be easy due to Kanto bias, or hard as hell to torment everyone

I finished the collection challenge after getting Miltank via research task, since I don't think I can find any via wild encounter.

......And of course, right after that, a Miltank spawned near my home *facepalm*

Yeah, Miltank was my whale for this round of collection. Everything else was super simple to collect but Miltank was such a pain to spawn. So rare. Thankfully I got it!

This one actually turned out alright for me. I got everything just by playing normally, if a bit more active than usual.

I started the Weavile event this morning and my very first one was a fucking shiny.

Same, my very first one is Shiny.

Apparently, all the Sneasel from this mission have very high chance for Shiny, like almost community day rate.

Yeah, it was definitely raised. I did the full line and walked away with four shinies. Wasn't even gunning for them, really. Saturday is my normal walking day, and I was just tackling it because it was there (and the event reminded me how good Sneasels are as Excellent targets). I actually probably would have half-ignored it if the Rockets weren't uncharacteristically cooperative in finishing up the Johto stuff.

Just got a Larvitar and finished Johto! Only collection challenge I’ve even come close on so far.

I must be really unlucky because I haven't gotten a Smeargle to photobomb any of my pictures since the Johto event started. I found everything else within the first two days of it.

I did put a bit more effort in after this thread told me Johto was easier than the previous ones.

At last, with Tauros in the horizon I can finally get my platinum Kanto medal

Shiny Sneasel looks far better in GO than its usual sprites, except for when it wasn't pink. Shiny Weavile still looks ugly to me

.....I didn't get any high CP Shiny Roselia at all until one finally shows up around the last 5 minutes of the event.....At least I got multiple Shiny Roselia, which is nice.

But I forgot that there's a task to evolve Roselia, and ends up evolving one too early, so I have to evolve another, and essentially spent more candies than required ._.

I initially wanted to evolve one good non-shiny for the task, but I ends up evolving two good non-shiny due to forgetting about the task, haha

I also wanted to evolve a high CP shiny for collection, but as I said, no high CP ones came until near the end of the event, so I couldn't do that for the task.

Oh wow, five Pokemon as raids, two of which are legendaries, for Valentines.

From what I've read, Alomomola can show up as a Field Research reward, but said tasks are, IIRC, either "Win two Raids" or "Catch 20 Luvdisc".

Also, there's a pack of three free Remote Raid Passes in the shop.

So the NPC Trainers Niantic hyped up seem to have not only just a small pool of characters, they only spawn at Pokestops and they use the Team Rocket battle theme, which is very odd to me.

Quite annoying that they only spawn at pokestops. Again, my country is in lockdown...

And while I'd have no issue going out and walking to the stops, it's fucking cold over here and I had work today, so I wasn't gonna bother going home and changing out of my dress clothes just to go out again. I fought whoever I could on the car ride home.
