That'll do.

Should I kill the brothers and the other nearby enemies first and then get what I need on later days, or just avoid them and get the bugs at the same time?

You'll be wearing the Sheikah suit for bug catching purposes, so you'll be stealthy. Kinda up to you whether you think you can be stealthy enough.

Darkflamewolf: I know that one. Are you on the correct side of the gate? It's the side facing the town (north), not the one facing outward (south). It should have a couple arrows stuck to it already.

And maybe you ARE firing at the right one and your game is just weird.

Edit to add the reason I checked this thread in the first place grin: So my last playthrough, I waited till the very end to get the Hylian Shield to see what kind of modifier I'd get. Guard Up +52 for a total of 142! Not bad! I mean, basically useless given how little I use shields, but it looks impressive onscreen.

....

Hero's Set...four stars.cool

I'm more or less ready, though I guess there are a few things I should set up before I go.

Maybe get my last shield slot, make room for the Champions Weapons, make sure my Champion's Magic is all maxed out. After that, it's pig slaying time.cool

Edit: Oh right. I need to do the Mounted Archery course as well. Haven't practiced fighting enemies on horseback at all yet.

Mounted archery is literally the only thing I haven't done/completed in this game. It is stupid ridiculous and clearly needed an additional 30 seconds at the LEAST. I hate that game with a passion.

Also, nothing quite like going to Kilton after game and getting the Talus and Molduga medals but saying you've only slain 39 of the 40 Hinox in the game. [tdown]

Alright. Took care of my last few bits of business and now...

~I'm going to the castle, and I'm gonna kill Gaaaanon!~

And now, I've ruined that song.

Anyway, started from the beginning after teleporting in. My plan is to go through the entire place thoroughly. Gonna kill as many things as possible I'll say this much. And then, I inflict a calamity on the calamity.

See how he likes it. Calamity Link they'll call me. Because I cause Calamities....to calamities.

I did it.

Got all shrines.

Got all Koroks.

Got all Memories.

Got all Outfits.

Upgraded all Outfits to 4 stars.

Captured all pictures for Hyrule compendium.

Killed all Lynels.

Killed all Hinoxes.

Killed all Taluses.

Killed all Moldulgas.

Opened every single damn chest in the game... (at least the ones that interactive map shows) + every one in the shrines and every one I could possibly find in each divine beast.

Never again.....

100% save file complete.

Nope, just funsies. I dyed the normal Hylian clothes white so I can ride the Royal Stallion and cosplay as a Herald of Valdemar.

Ah. Ok then.

Anyway, I've gone through a bit more of Hyrule Castle. I'm basically back at where I was when I was there before.

I want to get to the Tower on the other side and kill the Lynel there, but I'm not 100% sure how. Guess I'll figure it out eventually.

Darkflamewolf, you are insane.

Lately I've been playing Ori and the Blind Forest, which is a beautiful game, but there's only so much I can handle trying to progress and not constantly die (with the difficulty set to "easy"), so I when I've had it, I switch to hunting Koroks.

753 found so far without the help of a guide. I wanna hit 800. We'll see.

You are all insane.

I don't think I hit 200 koroks, and that was before I found out what was waiting at the end of that particular rainbow.

It helps a lot to have the Korok Mask from the DLC. It's got pretty good range, so I don't have to comb every corner of Hyrule.

I might be insane, but I got a perfect save file now with everything in the game....EXCEPT the horse and bridle from that stupid horseback archery game - because F that mini-game. It's beyond stupid. But I can live with that glaring missing items in my inventory.

As for getting 100% completion in this game, I realize there are quite a few parts of the overworld that are just....empty. Like seriously. I was shocked. Going from areas chock full of Koroks, chests, and bosses to enemy encampments and/or broken ruins or villages or forests/caves with literally nothing in them. Seriously...nothing. Made me surprised they didn't spread out that wealth of secrets among the entire overworld and just bunched them up in specific areas, leaving some areas devoid of things to see and do other than... 'oh that's pretty, moving on...' You don't really notice this much unless you're going for that 100%.

You don't get a horse from the archery game. I think one level of victory gets you a bridle and the next one gets you a saddle? I have the bridle, but not the saddle.

Or maybe the other way around I can't remember.

I sort of prided myself on being an archer when I played so I definitely took a dozen or so shots at that minigame.

Darkflamewolf: I agree with you on the "huge amounts of nothing". I was hunting Koroks yesterday, on the southern slopes of the Gerudo Highlands, and didn't find anything but some coyotes, the occasional plant, and some ore.

Then I popped over to the Coliseum 'cause I remembered there was a Korok there I hadn't got (one of the timed race ones), and found a second one right afterwards.

I don't mind the uneven distribution, honestly. It seems more natural.

[up] Yeah, but just seems like a shame to encounter some truly interesting locales and structures and then find nothing of consequence there. No real enemies (except for a stray Wizzrobe or wildlife) and no chests and no Koroks. Maybe an ore vein here or there, but that's it. So some supremely unique locations, but nothing of note. Kinda disappointing.

So as I explore Hyrule Castle, I'm still having issues with Flying Guardians. Getting a good shot at them is a bit of an issue.

So what's the best method to fight them: fly up with Revali's gale and shoot them with an ancient arrow?

I'd do it that way, but with only so many charges of Revali's gale, I consider that method unfeasible for so many of them. I really need to take these things down quickly.

Honestly, I would do that most of the time, but they have this annoying habit at flying over me at an angle where I can't lock on to them so I can properly shoot them. Add in how they keep swaying about so you can't get a proper bead on them and BOOOM! Laser to your elf face!
