Like, Green Goblin is one of Spider-Man's most diverse enemies in terms of what he can do in a fight. So Peter would have to bring his inventor A-game to counter everything the Green Goblin can do.
Plus, we do have a canonical example of a Spider-Green Goblin suit for Peter.

Actually, that sounds like a really cool idea: like, the climax begins and we get the usual "let's hunker down an design an anti-suit for this villain" sequence, only for Peter and Miles (and presumably Cindy) to realize that in this case for whatever story reasons they need to end this as Spider-Men (and Spider-Women, in Cindy's case), not with any bells and whistles.
And I'm not just saying that because I think both the Anti-Ock suit and the Anti-Venom suit were really ugly.

I like the Anti-Ock suit, and INITIALLY liked the Anti-Venom suit, but then someone I was playing with pointed out it looked like Spider-Man was shooting out his spooge and that ruined the suit for me.
