Hmm. If it was new viewers I can understand. HF is often Tohsaka at her worst and Sakura at her be... most important.
Is Saber permanently corrupted in the HF route as an Alter, or did she return back to normal after dying?

I thought Saber permanently became Salter in the HF route. Like not, she's Salter for this Grail War and you can't save her, but like the corruption follows her back to the Battle of Camlann, and now, every time she'll be summoned it'll be Saber Alter instead of regular Saber.

I think you're getting mixed up with something that happened in FHA. During one of the four night periods, Medusa goes out on her own to supposedly defend the town and is constantly using Monstrous Strength and slowly mutating. She actually just wants to commit widescale slaughter and that's why she's going so overboard, which isn't helping the situation. She takes a fatal wound right on the verge of transforming into Gorgon, but the meeting right at the brink of death keeps her mentally stable. If not for that meeting, she would have died as a monster and because of that all future summonings of her would have been tainted and evil.
Medusa actually isn't really a good person at all. Even so, she's no Gorgon.

Van Gogh is actually pretty fun to use, though in a CQ where Gilles was liable to also slap terror on everyone and then Jeanne had her own stun and I was liberally applying terror, it got a bit hard to tell when anything was going to happen. ![[lol]](https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lol2v12_4863.png "[lol]"){kind=small}
Should've brought Atlas in hindsight, would have let me un-stun Merlin the turn I really needed invuln.

Oh. I still haven't done that CQ yet. Maybe I'll just try to steamroll through it with Rider Da Vinci or something.

Last wave is a bit annoying, since Jalter and Jeanne have 600k HP on their second bars and Jeanne tosses out a few hits of irremovable invuln on break. Also I think you get hit with 50% NP drain when Gilles calls them out?

I'm almost done with the event after grinding it the past two days. Just have to burn a few apples for mats to uncover the last 30-40% of the final board.
I'm actually quite enjoying this style, although it is lengthy.
My CE luck is insane for some reason though. I've gotten 4 CE drops already.

And I got absolutely no CE drops. Another thing that would've let me clear the damn CQ without using command seals.
Managed to take down XX and Hokusai. XX was really brutal for me; I had to try 3 times, and needed to use CS for the last time. Hokusai was surprisingly really easy; the only party member I lost was Arash, and that was on purpose.
