Man, retribute just sounds ominous. But yes, White Day is on the 14th of March, where guys give back gifts to the girls who've given them gifts during Valentine's Day. Generally, in Japan at least, there's a sort of a rule where the return gift for a honmei should be two or three times the value of the gift given in Valentine's Day.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.IIRC, wasn't White Day just made up by candy companies because C A P I T A L I S M
I mean, it's fine by itself, I just think it's a hilarious origin.

It was, which is also the case with Valentine's Day. White Day is just a bit more blatant about it.
I also think the three-times return rule has definitely fallen out of fashion in real life (if it was ever a real thing in real life), as no one I've spoken to about it seemed to know what I was talking about without some prompting. There's a whole bunch of weird candy codes about it, too, which only high schoolers really care about.
It's been fun.So in White Day event I prepare presents for all the female Servants who given me chocolate?

No, it's implicit that having one Valentine's event was good enough for DW, so this is just an excuse to have all the hot guys in new outfits for new CEs in the gacha and new costumes for limited Servants and that's about it.
Moriarty's version of the event next year is the first one that's actually pretty fleshed out with event farming and a Grail but no gift mechanics like Valentine's.

That's a bummer.
The biggest joke with CBC is that it went downhill over the years.
- First year it was bunch of CEs but it also added three new Servants (Kid Gil, Astolfo and Amakusa)
- Second year only added one new Servant, but it was the highly requested Arthur.
- Third year was when it became a joke with it introducing no new Servants, and only gave a costume to Arthur. There was also slight mockery how one of Arthur's lines were changed to make him more of a husbando.
- Fourth year was bit of a rebound as while it didn't introduce any new Servants and only gave a costume to Moriarty, there was at least a event tied to it.
I like a lot that Shiki's whole reason for going in that appartment in the first place was because she needed to evict servants, not because something messed up was going on.
White Day sounds a lot lamer than I hoped.
Also, what was the deal with Cu's room? Was it referencing something?
White day started out as a glorified banner, devolved into an absolute joke when they reran Arthur's banner with a costume that had no FA art instead of a new servant, and is now just the time when I have the lowest expectations from DW next to summer.
I asked who people thought was getting a costume this year and the responses were primarily either "They're just going to rerun Moriarty's event and you know it" and "If I don't expect anything, maybe DW will stop hurting me".
Male servants tend to only get released on story banners most of these days and the space between those is longer so people REALLY feel the loss
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysI think White Day's only in Japan anyway.
Feels like they really dropped the ball here. They could made a whole event with farming materials to make the return presents for the girls or something.
x2 And DW is a Japanese company
The way they structured the boys Valentine scene in year two makes it difficult they give their return gift to you immedialtely and since Valentine comes before white day you can't pay them back for that.
Granblue's handling of the two events is that there are new short valentine and white day scene every yea. If you want to give chocolate to boys on Valentine's you have to pay for it, same for if you want to give the girls a return gift. it's an interesting model

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysStoryline-wise, I've made it to Okeanos, and for the most part I've been enjoying it more than the constant Nero-shilling in Rome, but, uh, does Blackbeard ever get...less like that? His writing is atrocious, which I get is intentional, but it feels intentional in a "ha ha this guy's a creep but you love him anyway!" way, when what I'm getting is just visceral repulsion. Kind of a shame, since I like his design. (And then with Anne and Mary I have the opposite problem, where I like the writing, but their designs are...uh, not good.)
they're gonna find intelligent life up there on the moon/and the canterbury tales will shoot up to the top of the best-seller listTeach falls into the pit hole of "He totally has a different side to him than he is shown with, but we will never actually show it". Like there is a reason why he is the Dread Pirate Blackbeard, but even when he seems to try to get serious, he is still played for laughs.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!I think his interlude made an attempt at fleshing him out
Key word being attempt
Granted, less than three months we'd all said the same thing about Orion, and half a year ago I would've said the same thing about Raikou.
And going backwards a little more we probablt at one point said the same things about Cursed Arm, Avicebron, Amakusa, Sieg l, Jason (blimey, but Higashide screwed up a lot of characters, didn't he?).
What I mean is that I am unwilling to ever again make up a definitive opinion about any character until the writers actually bother to try, and thus far with Blackbeard I don't think they have.
Oh pleeeeeeeeeeeeease. Jason only got this nice treatment when Nasu realized he could cheap out on showing what a good friend FSN Shinji was to Shirou through him.
Secret SignatureYou know, I have seen people joke about Santa Blackbeard, and I actually want to see that if Teach goes into super serious mode while being Santa.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Only after we get Assassin Santa Herakles, they've been sitting on that joke for ages.
And impersonating Santa is in-character for Herk, the frachise, and arguably the myths, have always shown him as a Friend to All Children.
except his own and a few that got on his nerves
like 90% of Priam's siblings.
Secret SignatureHey, I did say "arguably".
And myths have more Depending on the Writer -itis than superhero comics.

Valentine's Day is that day in February where girls give chocolate to boys. White Day is that day in March where the boys retribute the favor.
