I'm actually pretty disappointed at the lack of Devil Trigger usage in this fight. It's used once for a moment and then never again.

Ugh. I was hoping it was Joe vs Pilgrim. I'm all hyper-gauged for that one.

Bonus episode for the season.

Another thing: not even a SSJ transformation?

Lightning Battle from Kid Icarus Uprising being played was a nice touch though.

EDIT: Alright. Didn't see any of Joe's VFX powers, and they used a weird-sounding version of his catchphrase. :/ But damn was it good to see the Scott Pilgrim sprites again/hear the music from that game again.

I think Joe did use his slow down SFX power near the end to avoid Scott's punches, and his catchphrase sounds odd because the used Japanese voice clips for the fight for some reason.

Oh yeah you're right, I checked the last ten seconds and spotted Joe "warping" when that film grain appeared. That was a neat touch.

Disappointed that they didn't use the english "Henshin a-go-go baby."

Didn't we already do this already ages ago? And didn't it end basically the same way?

DBZ battles are starting to get stale.

At least add some transformations...

Freeza appears to not recognize Mewtwo at all. I'm suspecting that this is basically retconning their original fight from Season 1 out of continuity.

I think the team is trying to cushion DBZ fans for when Goku gets Saitama'd in the finale.

The "barron planet" typo in Frieza's speech bugs me.

Remember when DBX was considered the inferior successor to OMM? Now I see a lot of the opposite.

That was a good fight but the ending was hilariously abrupt.

At this point, it’s just boring to see Saitama keep winning. Either make him be challeneged at the very least, or stop using him.

I mean I agree, but I’ll take this over a 4th Dragonball win this season.

Fight was still fun and well made.

I like how they kept the face of Sprite Saitama neutral the whole time. Nice way of keeping him in character.

I wonder if Goku was satisfied by that fight at all.

I doubt we'll see Saitama again after this cause he's basically fought the big important guys already.

Spotted a continuity error already. Goku goes from wearing a shirt in his base to wearing just his gi in Blue. This match sucks!

huh. Ultra Instinct. Didn't expect to see a sprite for that.

I can't wait for the new Seth the Programmer video and all of the salt in the comments. I'm a little disappointed - saw that it was 9 minutes and figured the fight would be longer.

But next season previews are always nice. And Toph vs Terra probably would have been a better-received Death Battle than the one we got.

Even if the outcome was obvious, it was still a really cool fight. A lot of spectacle and nice choreography. A One Punch Man fight to a T.

(for a second there, because of the length of the video remaining, I was expecting them to go full meme and have a round 3 with Gohan Blanco)
