We never really see enough her to know, honestly. She seems if nothing else, just kind of flighty at time, or easily bored. She still recognizes though when to take things seriously, like the final arc.
Dimple describes her as "incredibly strong-willed, not influenced by what other people's words at all", and based on her attitude in the last arc, I totally belive him. She stayed to wait for Mob even when there was a gigantic tornado headed right for her, and she didn't seem afraid of the tornado. Based on her initial wariness with Reigan, she doesn't seem stupid or naive, just weirdly confident.
I dunno, based on what we know of her, I can't picture her being awkward or unsure of herself. I feel like that kind of extreme, borderline-reckless, unflappable confidence in herself is not neurotypical, you know what I mean?
Another interesting facet about her is that she still seems to have feelings for Mob from back when they were friends, though not romantic feelings. Mob can only seem to perceive her as his crush, and their friendship is something in the past for him. I might be off base here, but it seems like Tsubomi still thinks of Mob in the same casual, friendly way she did when they were friends, like to her their friendship is still there, they just haven't spoken in a while.

Don't know, she seems just a mature kid to me, which can be (and is) mistaken for self-centeredness and coldness from others. She's pretty similar to post-character development Ritsu, except for the fact that he still has a bit of an hero complex.
Regarding the last arc of the manga, I think she realized that tornado was Mob, and her waiting in the park was her way to blindly trust that he would never actually hurt her.
Maybe. As my constant usage of Weasel Words may indicate, I'm not very sure of my assessment of her character. Maybe I just don't quite have an accurate read on her. These were just some stray thoughts bouncing around in my head about her character.
Who'd be dumb enough to set fire to Mob's family on purpose?
His name is Shou.
New episode. It's fantastic. Pacing is a little fast, but that was to be expected, considering this and the rest are going to be 5 episodes covering 600 pages of material, about 120 pages per episode, which is about equivalent to the first episode of Ritsu's mini-arc in Season 1. Still covered everything pretty well.
Next episode is my favorite part of this arc.
I appreciate Shirou being Shimazaki
Serizawa <3
This was extremely satisfying. It was probably a good choice to cut out Teru's fight with the would-be assassin because it's not like he won't get chances to show off later. I also deeply appreciate how menacing they made Mob out to be in the first few minutes of the episode.
This episode gave me such anxiety.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. Here's a great analysis showing how much Dimple has changed from his scenes in Episode 9.
Man, I cannot fucking wait for Season 3 and the Divine Tree arc. I just re-read it recently and it's still just as amazing as when I first read it. It's really close, but it might be my favorite arc of the series, and Dimple's role in it is really interesting and hearbreaking.
The Body Improvement Club is too good for this pure and sinful earth.
That's all I have to say.
They really are. This was the moment I was most looking forward to from this arc, and the episode did not disappoint.
These are pretty good episodes, though I've always felt this arc is not as good as the ones before (Mogami, Separation) and after ( Divine Tree, ???) it.
Still, I think we'll be in for a badass specacle when we get to the last two episodes...
I have no idea how this arc is going to end.
I'm guessing the final episode will just cover Mob vs Toichiro, but I'm not sure what would be the best stopping point for the season. The meanest way to end it would be with Reigan seeing the mushroom cloud, but I think the best place would be at the reveal of the Divine Tree, though ONE kind of dragged out that reveal. Maybe the "episode" ends with the mushroom cloud, but the credits song plays over Mob getting found and the reveal of the Divine Tree as the last shot?

Mob Psycho 100, from the first episode of the first season to the tenth episode of the second season: I pretend to be about shonen espers fighting shonen battles, but I'm actually about how big badass shonen battles don't solve anything, growing up does.
Mob Psycho 100, second season, eleventh episode: ...but that doesn't mean I can do a big badass shonen battle as well as every other series.
Although the end of the big shounen battle was a fantastic subversion of expectations. Easily one of my favorite moments in this arc. If you really want a big shounen battle, just wait a bit.
They changed a bit around in the adaptation, such as the espers-in-training sitting out the big battle, but they didn't really do much in the original and ONE even admitted to having forgotten about the telepathy twins until after-the-fact. I wouldn't be surprised if these particular changes were made at ONE's own request, and I think it's better this way.
It's also a perfect summation of the show's themes, with the super top-tier Esper focusing so much on his perfect defense against other powers that he doesn't notice the random powerless guy walking up to him and punching him in the face. :P. And yeah, I can't wait for what's coming next...
Seriously though, the animation for this episode was really something.
So things are ramping up at an amazing pace, I do kinda wish the Ultimate 5 had more screentime just to see how they interact with Shou's dad and as a group.
This arc has been also amazing at bringing everything and everyone together so tightly with tons of tension that it's easy to forget that this is all happening in just one district of the city.
On the latest episode itself:
- SELF-DEFENSE RUSH. the best part is Reigen has no clue if it counts or not
- The tech esper's defeat is even more hilariously anticlimatic, Shimazaki had a long drawn-out hype fight, Hatori's just a footnote.
- So Mogami did come back after all, well this is a decent conclusion to his thing with Mob.
- Aww they added the Scars to the credits sequence now that they're good guys
- Shimazaki freaking out at Mob and Reigen does really hammer in how out of nowhere they came to completely upend everything.
Have you read the manga? If not, I'll just say that the final two episodes are going to be amazing.
Yeah I haven't read the manga which is probably something I should rectify but eh haven't really got the time right now.
This arc and really this season in general has got me excited in a way not much stuff has for the past few months so I'm hype to see where this goes.
After this season ends, there is just enough content for a season 3, so I guess it's up to you whether you want to wait for whenever season 3 happens or just read the manga once this season ends.
Speaking of Tsubomi, anyone else get neurodivergent vibes from her? Obviously, since the anime only just got to her first real scene of characterization, this is referring more to her characterization in later arcs of the manga.
