Black Desert Online

So, there's this MMO coming out. It's called Black Desert Online and apparently it's one of those action-based MM Os in the vein of Blade & Soul with a combo system and a sandbox world. It looks promising, at least to me. It'll be buy-to-play, meaning you'll have to pay money to buy the game but you'll also be able to play without a subscription. Currently, it will enter its second Closed Beta Test on February 18 and have put out a download link for the game's Character Creator so that people can create their characters ahead of time and import them into the game when it releases.

I really wanted to use the character creator too.

So I managed to get a key to the second Closed Beta. So far, I created a Valkyrie and have been going through some intro quests and have run into massive rubberbanding issues (though I guess that's to be expected for a beta). Can't say much more than that, I'm afraid.

I tried the character creator and that thing really needs some macros. It's great being able to fiddle with all the little details, but you should be able to make larger changes without making 20 individually tiny changes.

Found out about this title recently. It looks intriguing and the no subscription appeals to me right now. I haven't been able to play Wo W consistently in months due to work screwing with my schedule week-to-week^* dayshift this week, overnight next week, back to days, then to swings. It sucks..

Anyone buy a copy yet and maybe have the 7 day pass they don't have plans for?

Disregard. I took the plunge and just bought it. Anyone else playing? We have a Tropes server or anything?

I am playing it. I very much liked the concept behind the Sorceress (although I was heavily disappointed that there was no male counterpart to the class, atleast not yet as I have been hearing that there is plans for making male counterpart classes) so I am playing one currently.

The only issue I have been having so far with the game is with some of the ambient sounds/voices being played a bit too much which is minor. The voice acting also seems to be very hit and miss.

Combat is fun though. I can't combo really well but it's certainly fun at the very least

Game is nice, pretty hardcore MMO Action-RPG with survival element (eponymous Black Desert territory) and take a lot of time to master. Played Russian version, it came in December 2015 and currently going ahead of international one.

Been a while, but after trying out a few classes, I settled on Wizard and got him to 50. Anyone else playing? I'm on Edan and we're looking for semi-active bodies for our guild.
