General E3 Thread

Zelda's the only thing I'm looking forward to as of now.

SE are in meetings about E3 now so we'll know more about their plans soon probably.

Edit: We're getting a ATR for FFXV at the very least.

I'm expecting solid FFXV news, and also maybe some KH 3 news now that work on one doesn't come at the expense of the other.

Nintendo has the NX shit to deal with, and we're pretty much all revving up for Generation 8.5 with NX vs. PS 4.5 vs. XBONE+1. This could be good or bad.

In the recent past new consoles come at the expense of good game announcements, and I'm worried that this might do the same.

I think KH3 news is practically guaranteed, the question here is what news we're getting. I think a new world announcement with some footage is the most likely candidate, as the game's probably not close enough to finished for bombshells or a release date.

I wonder, is Nintendo doing a full presentation on stage, or another direct? It'd be a pretty dumb move for a Direct since they're, y'know, revealing a new console.

Natsume's localization of River City: Tokyo Rumble for the 3DS to be shown off at E3.

Spider-Man game for PS4 to be announced at E3? Marvel also has a game with Telltale in the works and DC has one about Batman that we're expecting to hear more about(along with the rumored Injustice 2 from the MK team).

Square Enix E3 news: NieR Automata to have new trailer shown and release window revealed.

From Nintendo President Kimishima, NX is going to be a no show, focus on Zelda, both of which have been delayed until 2017.

Well, Nintendo's NX won't be at E3 and their focus will be on showing Zelda(which is now delayed to 2017 and coming to both Wii U and NX).

That's not the best part. Zelda will be the only playable game Nintendo brings to E3 this year. I'm getting mixed messages on whether this includes 3DS games, and whether there will be games presented but not playable at E3. But right now I'm leaning towards the pessimistic option.

I'm going to assume they meant just for the Wii U titles.

I'm also going out on a limb and guessing that the rumored Pikmin 4 title is also be saved for the NX.

That would literally be corporate suicide.

Well if they were only bringing Zelda, we'd have heard that. Their only *playable* game is going to be Zelda from their statement. They said nothing on it being the only game to be shown at E3.

All Nintendo has of substance to show off at this point besides Zelda are the new Pokémon games, and TPCi has made it clear that they are willing to troll fans hard if recent events are anything to go by. We might get a surprise reveal for something unrelated (random example being a new Metroid), but I doubt it.

Not really pumped for Nintendo's show. Square Enix is all I care about now since they are very likely to have new Kingdom Hearts III footage/news.

I'm just gonna say, people are gonna label this E3 for Nintendo along with the likes of 2008 or 2003 if they don't announce anything of worth.

Zelda U may be the best game ever for all we know, but it's pretty much gonna get overshadowed by the controversy Federation Force and Color Splash have caused, which are inevitably gonna be there.

Nintendo delays their conference to 2017.

So some people are suspecting that the NX reveal will be its own event like what happened with the PS 4.

It's not speculation, Nintendo themselves pretty much confirmed it.

It's common sense too. What, are they gonna pull a Saturn and tell everyone "YOU CAN BUY THE NX TOMORROW GIVE US YOUR MONEY"

Why even bother, Nintendo?

It would make more sense to simply not do anything about E3.

I understand that E3's mostly a business meeting. All the fan stuff is completely secondary, even if it's what WE end up seeing.

New Kingdom Hearts III info is confirmed to be revealed at e3. Can't link the source atm, so I'll edit it in later.

We knew that since months back. We have pretty much everything from SE's last conference that hasn't been released yet confirmed to have trailers and/or demos. Now that they've done their FFXV mega event they're going to start revealing more about Wo FF and KH 2.8 to the world including release dates. After they're all out they'll switch focus to VIIR.
