"You don't want to use the wish for yourself?" Miss Tairee said inquisitively, then looked at the holographic screen. There was a few moments of silence and nothing, then a beep and a short scroll of information unreadable to anyone except the librarian.
"Very well, your wish is granted. In this Sans' timeline, the war between monsters and humans never occurred, and the two races now live in peace and safety" Miss Tairee announced with the microphone.
In the crowd, the Church of Literacy started clapping, while the Fanboys and the NHA both cheered.
"Wow, I didn't see that one coming" Jeff's voice said.
"You've gotta be one heck of a selfless trooper to just throw away a free wish for somebody else. Man I bet this Sans guy is gonna feel indebted to this kid pretty hard now" Adam's voice added in. "And just listen to this crowd; they seem pretty impressed too" his voice went on.
"Yeah must feel pretty good to know people willing to do that for you... Wait, Sans the skeleton; you don't think...?" Jeff's voice added, and for once the two then thought to turn off their microphones as they continued discussing.
Miss Tairee had been looking back at the holographic screen as something else scrolled by, then she looked at Lucas. "Would you like me to bring Sans here?" Miss Tairee asked him.
"... I'm sorry to hear that" Silanea commented simply, thinking of nothing else to say to Arf, before listening to the continuing broadcast.
After Lucas' wish, the confirmation that it was accepted, the noise of the cheering crowd, and the announcers back and forth, there was a clattering as Silanea dropped her fork down onto the plate. "H-h-how, great, for Sans" Silanea muttered, her whole body shaking as she glanced out one of the windows to see one of the big screens with an image of Lucas standing next to Miss Tairee on it, with Caro not far away. She went silent for a couple moments again as she recognized Caro. "... And he was going to get it either way wasn't he... How n-nice, to..." she trailed off, breathing in and out heavily to the point where perhaps no longer talking wasn't exactly a conscious decision on her part.
She got up, trying to use one arm to support herself up from the table, but had accidentally put her hand on her plate and sent it sliding across the table instead. With a second try she managed to get upright and start slithering towards the door, having to stop to support herself on the door frame before trying to open the door to leave.
The scarf that Sans had just stopped Lewis from taking suddenly blurred and vanished right off his neck, along with his brother's dust.
"Why? You aren't planning on stabbing anybody in here are you?" Dave responded to Cole.
Miss Tairee looked over at Sora with a fairly blank expression after he claimed he wouldn't do any more fighting in the library. "Somehow I doubt that" Miss Tairee said in her neutral tone, but nevertheless with a few taps on her keyboard the bubble around him vanished and he was dropped back onto the floor.
"I would suggest that perhaps you leave and find somewhere else to stay the night, before I have to let him out of his bubble too" Miss Tairee then suggested, motioning at Zs'Skayr's bubble.
"Yeah could we not kill Ben?" Louie commented, looking disturbed by the notion and glancing at Eve with a very 'what the hell dude' expression.
Meanwhile, the two Fanboys had finally turned their attention back to their books after watching Lucas make his wish, looking quite excited. The second Fanboy seemed to think of something as he was checking out the module book. "Wait, I know what we're missing!" the second Fanboy thought out loud, then moved back to the central desks. "Excuse me, this role playing system; it has a monster manual doesn't it? Something that details information about lamias in that universe?" he asked Miss Tairee.
"Ah, yes. Hold on" Miss Tairee responded, and started typing on her keyboard to summon another book from an upper floor.
Meanwhile, the two Annas both gave a sort of shrug to Lo Wang and Hoji. "We never really met the guy. We heard he was called 'Old Feather Beak' and looked like some kind of big bird guy" Anna-Maria answered.
"You'd have to ask the people who were there how he got taken out. All we know is he fought with a bunch of the hero people here in the library" Anna-Rose added.
"Miss Tairee's boss, he's using you as a scapegoat, to get us in the city turned on each other. You're the perfect candidate: We don't like you, the non-humans don't like you, you're not fond of either of our groups, you're well known around the city, and you're brash, bullheaded, and overconfident enough to accept an extra challenge deal without thinking the ramifications through" Wells explained to Rex.
"Now he's got an excuse to throw who knows what kind of danger at us, while we're down here bickering with each other about it being your fault. And it worked! There's a whole crowd of people who sounded ready to see your head on a pike!" Wells continued, and shook his head as if in disbelief.

He still had on the amulet, he was clearly not going to take that off, but he picked up his daggers carefully, just holding them to the side in the arm not holding his bunny and hat. "...sorry. Eve seemed to shut off even more at the look Louie gave her, sinking into herself.
"A movie could b-be fun."
She didn't usually stutter. At all. Miss Tairee made a good suggestion about leaving before Ghostfreak got out of the bubble.
"I'm happy to leave, or stay. It's up to you."

Dark Sun, what choices have I...?
Before I could lay a finger on the scarf, Sans grabbed my hand and requested I not. I withdrew my hand, wordlessly, still eyeing it.
It was kinda creepy to realize he was literally wearing his brother's remains and had been for a considerable while, but then again, I had uh, mine, in the basement for the longest time. But on the bright side, in almost no time at all, the events that led to this being on his person would be rendered null.
"In almost no time at all" being now, in fact, as Lucas let out the words into the mic, followed by the librarian announcing the results.
Subsequently, the scarf disappeared.
"Well...I'm guessing that war was a big part of your history, if that was the part that went. Have fun with the ripple effect, I guess. They might want you up there, you think you can handle that?"

Sans heard Lucas makes his wish and then heard Miss Tairee explain what exactly happened, making the skeleton go wide-eyed. The whole war never happened. That changed so many things that he wasn't even sure how to begin thinking of the possibilities. He was so in shock with those news that he barely registered what Lewis said.
"i... i..." he stammered, then he tried to reach for the scarf only to see that it was gone, "... i don't know... but... at least i know he'll be all right." He sighed in relief.
Once Morty stood in between Lily and Ciri, Lily stopped her growling. When Ciri put down her weapons, Lily followed suit. "Well, why didn't you say so, dearie?" She asked Morty, cheerfully "grandma's here to keep you safe. Don't go jumping at friends."
I say that aloud too sometimes, just: "man, no life."

Ben frowned, hoping he would be able to stay in the safety of the Library for a bit, but Miss Tairee raised a good point. Ben nodded. "Fine," he stated. "She's right. We should really try and find somewhere else safe. Let's get out of here. And uh, let's stick together so that we don't get shifted away from each other." With that, Ben gently grabbed Eve's hand and began to walk towards the nearest door. He glanced back at Louie and Sora. "You guys coming too?" he asked, stopping before he actually left.

Stadium - This changes everything
And so it was done. Lucas seemed to have told pretty everything on the matter, which made sense, because otherwise, he might not have been able to make this wish to properly fix everything.
In contrast with their match itself, people around them seemed to have really excited about the wish. Guess it was like the announcer had said ... It wouldn't just anyone who would use such a chance this time, specially when considering what Lucas himself could have stood to gain from this. She herself wouldn't have had to make anywhere near such a sacrifice. It was truly awe-inspiring and heartwarming ...
However, as she then thought over what Miss Tairee had said, she realized something ... If the history of Sans' world was that much different, specially if the war had happened a long time ago ... Then the world that had been reborn would be much different from what Sans had known ... The people he had known would probably different as well ... She might have wondered if they would still be there at all, but Lucas had asked for it to be so that Sans would as happy as possible and that had to include his family and friends in some form. It would probably be a lot to adjust to though ...
Clearly looking happy, though perhaps a bit more subdued than otherwise might have occured due to such a revelation,she then said, "You did it, you really did it ... I have wanted so much for something like this to happen ... I still can't quite believe it really is ..."

Sora heard Louie's comment. He turned at him and told him seriously, "Louie, I know that you said that because you don't want anyone to die but that's no reason to attack Eve like that. A suggestion of sacrifice like that is no small matter and Eve understands that."
Sora's tone then lighten upped. "It's ok though. I'll make sure that it won't happen. Just like I know that you won't let that happen. That's what teammates are for!"
Sora smiled at Louie and then walked to join the departing duo. As Sora walked past and picked up to his walkie talkie, Sora told them, "Yeah, we should be heading out. Find a place to hide from Ghostjerk. We can't him ruin our happy days after all!" Sora then put the device into his red pouch pocket and then switched to his normal gloves. The mittens made his skin itch.

Screw the Lion!
As expected, the foot race really was not much of a competition rather then two children frolicking with a play race. The most exciting part was the wish that is to be granted. Despite knowing what the two children were planning to wish for, Plague Knight still found himself sitting on the edge of his seat in anticipation. Probably because of the suspense of the whole thing.
Lucas then made his wish.....and surprisingly, it was granted. No strings attached. A massive race war never happened, and someone's world was restored.
The knight found himself joining in the uproarious applause from the entire stadium at such a grand act of selflessness, an act truly worthy of a knight. He then got up from his seat, jumped over bleachers and weaving through the crowds, and attempted to jump back down into the stadium grounds proper to run up to Lucas and Caro.

Wander and Sylvia looked at each other with wide eyes.
"Did you hear-"
"He won! Lucas won!!"
"How about that," Sylvia said slowly. "I guess I went up against a winner after a—"
"SYL!!!" Wander grabbed her neck. "DID YOU HEAR THAT WISH?!"
"Huh? Yeah, uh, about - "
"I think a whole universe just got saved, Sylvia!" Wander's eyes were shining. "Lucas is so...helpful!"

Not having any better ideas, I put a hand on Sans's shoulder (scapula?). "Hey, don't worry too much. Lucas specifically included a clause that it be something that makes you happy. You could ask the librarian if that helps. I'm sure you'll figure it out somehow."
I looked to where the scarf had been. "And hey, the message thing is tomorrow, you can check up on him if you want."
(Some small voice whispered in my mind, How are the girls doing, while we're on the matter of siblings?)

Annoyed Mode: ON
I listened to the broadcast as the winner, apparently a little kid, stated his wish. It shocked me to hear not only the wish itself, but also on the way it was granted. I turned my head towards Sans instinctively, since I did know part of what had happened to him. To think that such a portion of his world's past had been changed like it was nothing... that all those people who had died were hopefully perfectly fine.
It was... reassuring.
Even if I hadn't received the wish, to know that such a power existed, that could freely alter the past in that way, it filled me with hope. I could do something truly good for the people I cared about with that sort of opportunity. I knew that perhaps I wouldn't have that chance again, but it was still possible, and I had to be ready next time. I had to prepare myself.
But first...
"Hey, Sora, wait!" I called to the young knight when he noticed he was starting to leave. "I still need my-"
I happened to glance aside, and noticed that the book was still on the table.
"Uhhh, nevermind, it's here."
I quickly hurried to pick up the book, while I tried not to feel absolutely embarrassed and Eun laughed loudly in my head.

Eve shot a grateful look at Sora. She had understood what she was asking. If she could do it herself, take the hit, she would. But she couldn't. She blushed slightly, a band of light pick coloiring coming over her cheeks as Ben took her hand. Walking with him to the exit, she let go of his hand.
"Sorry, I just need to grab something."
Moving back to her couch, she grabbed the book and two stuffed toys on there, before joining Ben back at the entrance.

Ben looked back as Sora and Eve went to grab some things they had left in the library, smiling when Eve came back with her book and stuffed animals. "You can carry the stuffed animals in my bag of holding if you want, it can hold a lot of stuff in there." He smiled, staying close to her as he walked, looking for a place where they could find solace and safety.
"So, what book is that?" he asked her gently, as he walked, the red sky of the evening illuminating the buildings around them.

Eve|Leaving The Library|You Don't Want To Know What Step 106 Is
Eve walked out next to Ben, gladly taking his offer of placing the stuff in the bag. Two stuffed animals and a pretty heavy book was a bit unwieldy. She put the alpaca and puppy in there, still holding the book. Then Ben asked what the book was. She wasn't entirely sure what to say, how to explain it. Well, she might as well be upfront.
"It's an encyclopaedia of metals that exist in my world."
While walking, she kept an eye out for places which could be conceivably be safe overnight. That weren't already taken by someone. Or another faction.

Sora placed his hands behind his head as the three walked the streets, he staying behind the two but still a couple of feet away. Wanted to give them some space.......After all, Sora needed to watch them so he can find some things to tease Ben about!
So, a book about metals from her world huh? Sora wondered if she had Mythril Gems or even Orichalcums in her world? They always seemed be available in any world he went to.

Ben smiled as she put the stuffed animals into his bag. She explained that she was reading a book about metals from her world, and he raised an eyebrow at the explanation. "Metals? Why are you looking up metals?" he asked her quietly. "Is there something in particular you're looking for?"
He glanced back at Sora, who had decided to back off a little bit. He hoped that Sora would stay close enough that he wouldn't be separated, though he trusted the Keyblade wielder. And at least he had the walkie talkie now if something did happen.

Speaking of talking, Eve's response seemed a little.......weak. Like, her answer had that "I don't want to talk about it" kind of vibe. It's not like you just say that your curious about a metal without adding on what kind of metal it is. Sora may be gullible and naive at times but he could understand this. Ben was just going to pry into her and that would just ruin the cute thing that there building together! Still, a metal wasn't something that bad, right? Time to do this one step at a time.....
Sora walked closer to the two and got into the conversation with them by asking Eve curiously, "What kind of metal? All the metals that I get are used to make fighting gear and new weapons. What about you?"

Ben raised an eyebrow but nodded. "All right. If you wanna look up metals you can do that. There are a lot of things that I get curious about too." Sora approached and asked about the metals, then Ben frowned. "C'mon, Sora. I don't think she wants to talk about that right now," he told the Keyblade wielder. "If she's curious about the metal that's her decision." He blinked, then turned towards Eve. "Oh, I just scanned an awesome new spider alien today and I wanna try it out, wanna watch?" he asked her, looking excited.

Eve|Library|Look, A Convenient Distraction!
Sora asked about what she did with metal, talking about how he used it for making weapons and fighting gear. She was going to answer, probably with a demonstration of her abilities, but it was found unecessary, when (much to her surprise), Ben defended her and her right to be curious.
And then offered a segue into a different, easier conversation. She smiled slightly. Ben was like an overeager puppy sometimes.
"Sure."

Curly found her self listening intently to the announcements as Lucas won the race, and the right to make a wish. The results got a pause, then a happy chuckle of the robot as she thought out loud "That's a lot bigger wish than I would have asked for"
When the second Fanboy went to the desk, Curly commented to the other one "There's a lot more reading for these kind of games than I thought"

Ben grinned, and readied the Omnitrix, trying to look through it to find an alien that had a spider-like body. Try as he might, however, he couldn't find it. That was odd. He was positive he had scanned Bergree when he grabbed Ben's wrist earlier today. He did, however, see a humanoid figure that he didn't recognize in the watch. The button raised and Ben pressed it curiously.
The area filled with green light. In a fraction of a second, Ben seemed to grow up in one short burst, seemingly ending up as a slender and quite handsome young man in his older teens or young 20s, though his changes weren't complete. His hair grew out long and flowing, and his ears sharped into points. Finally, his eyes began to glow a vivid red, his skin darkened until it was an ashen greyish-black, and his hair lightened until it was a silvery white color. The light faded and Ben stood there in the form of what looked like a dark elf, with no spidery parts to speak of. Ben looked down at himself, confused and shocked.
"What?!" Ben asked, his voice having become deeper, but delicate and rather posh-sounding with a hint of a British accent. "Aww, man, c'mon! What happened to the spider parts? I'm just an elf... this is lame..." he muttered, with a sigh. He looked at Eve, crossing his arms.

Ben smiled. "Yeah, it was nice. I wish we could've spent some more time there. I liked swimming with you. And, I also wish we could've y'know, eaten that ice cream. It looked really good. Tomorrow, wherever the City turns into, we should totally try and find some ice cream parlor or something. That way we can make up for lost time. Or wherever you'd wanna eat, y'know? Oh, that reminds me, I found this awesome place earlier today! It's like a movie theater, we should totally watch something! If you wanna, that is..."
He sat down on the couch again, trying to hide the blush forming on his face.
