Despair's words for Caro and Sans obviously weren't done, considering the malevolent grin on its deformed face. But even as it was beginning to speak again, a blur enveloped its form, cutting off any words that could have escaped, before the disruption vanished. Cole was now kneeling on the floor, arms wrapped around himself, eyes wide, seemingly back to normal.

After a mere instant or two, though, it would be clear that normal might not have been the right word.

"I...i-it's so quiet..." he said, and the others would notice that the usual airy lightness in his voice was gone, just sounding more like any other boy with a slight stutter. "It's...oh Maker..."

He patted at his chest, taking a few deep breaths, eyes widening as he looked down, one hand pressing over his heart. "I...I feel...I feel it, I feel it thumping away, air moving, in, out, things rushing beneath my skin, it's...it's all there, it's all...I feel it, it's...it's real...it's real, it's real, it's real...I'm real! I can feel it all, not made, but there, it's..."

Cole looked towards Sans and Caro, the expression of wonder on his face immediately crumpling at the realization of what had just happened. "Oh...oh no, no no no I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean...no, oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean that, I wasn't...that..."

He looked bewildered, then abruptly scratched at his arm. "Something is on my skin, why does it...p-prickling, crawling, want to...get it off?"

"STOP YOU FOOL - !!" Plague Knight yelled to Jack when the snow spirit tossed the snowball at Old Feather Beak. Thankfully, the punishment Tairee dolled out to Jack was relatively minor, being making him human - wait whut.

His confusion was short lived as the demon requested a large list of tomes and the Librarian provided. He managed to glance at a couple of the names, including one titled Shovel Knight -

Wait.......would that tome contain information about my own world? Plague Knight thought. About me.....?

Rex requested confidentiality and one of the tomes immediately vanished. "I request confidentiality as well!" the alchemist said.

Jack gaped at Tairee's words, looking caught between angry and terrified. He took a single shaky step back, then seemed to catch himself and force two steps forward. "Y-you can't do that!"

Even as he said it, the spirit didn't sound like he believed it, for obvious reasons. She could do it, and she did. Over a simple snowball to try and cheer things up. "You're not allowed to do, to do that! The Moon gave me them! I need them." He was starting to sound increasingly desperate as he spoke, and the shaking got stronger.

Then, Jack became aware of everyone shouting about confidentiality, and he realized exactly what the bird was doing. He was trying to get everyone's stories. The thought of this thing knowing about Jamie, the Guardians, everyone he cared about, and possibly using that made him sick and angry. And as he was now, it made him feel even more powerless. "Yeah, I want confidentiality as well! I don't want t-that thing knowing my story!"

With that done, Jack shrunk back finally as he tried not the panic completely. He stumbled off, and almost ran into Cole. He caught the tail end up what the young boy was saying, about his skin prickling, and his shock abated slightly as he worried for him. He glanced at him, over to Caro and Sans, and then back. "Cole, what's wrong? Did something happen?"

They would all notice when they looked at the spirit, that he had changed quite a bit. His hair was now brown, as well as his eyes instead of their normal bright blue, and his skin was nowhere near as pale. He also looked like he was going to cry and run in terror.

Library - From despair to ... Uh, so that just happened ...

Caro could only stare in horror as Cole transformation into Despair completed. That twisted grin on his face, just everything about it, it was just so unsettling ... And she suddenly felt this deep sadness weighting down ...

And then he spoke, with words clearly designed to hurt as much as possible. This was the antithesis what Cole normally was. It was clearly he was using hurts sensed, though this time it must have been things he had already gotten before, probably mostly from Sans, since they both currently had amulets on, but whereas that would usually mean trying use such knowkedge to heal, to help, here this twisted version was zeroing on to only to add to it, to do as much as damage as possible.

And those words sure hit like bricks, specially the first part. The way she had already been feeling down before certainly wasn't helping. Was that his doing too? But it was true. Sans would be inevitably gone in not that long. There was nothing they could do about it. The one time, the one thing they had tried had only spelled disaster ...

But the rest ... If she was feeling normally, she could have easily shoot all that down as the vile lies that they clearly were. But with the opressive sadness and in the wake on the previous statement, it was much harder to.

As it was, as her breath hitched, she barely managed, "N-No, that is not true ... Those are l-lies and we all know it ... "

She steeled herself, expecting more to come, but then ... Something happen. Miss Tairee did something to Cole. At first it seemed like she had just turned him back to normal, but with the way he then acted, it was clearly that something else was up. First, it seemed like his gift was gone even with an amulet. And all the things about sudden sensations, sensations that were normal for most people ... What was happening began to become pretty clear in her mind ...

He seemed to have been in wonder of it all, but then he must have realized what had been happening just before, for he quickly became crestfallen and began apologize profusely. And then just like that, most of the bad feelings from that terrible moment shortly before were gone and the usual tenderness she felt for him re-emerged.

She carefully approached, getting down to the floor next to him. She hesitated for a bit, not out of fear like just before, but because she wasn't sure if she should at attempt what she would normally do in such a situation. Cole was clearly sadly unused to be touched affectionately as it was and that was without feelling the full sensation ... Still, he clearly needed it now ...

She very carefully leaned on him and attempted to move her arms around him, while speaking softly, "It's OK ... W-We know you didn't. That wasn't really you, not really .. It's gonna be OK ... "

As he complained about how his skin felt and scratched at it, it was not hard to figure that out either. She remember how his previous clothing had felt on her skin, after all ...

"Well, it is like you were saying before ... You are feeling all this for the first time ... Your skin, what it really feels like to have something touching it ... That is probably mostly the feeling of having clothes on and such ... "

She then heard Jack approaching, asking about what was going on. But when she turned, she saw someone quite different than she was expecting. He looked more a regular teenager, rather than the usual appearence more fitting of the Spirit of Winter ... Did that mean ... He what clearly seen Miss Tairee doing something to him, but had not paid attention to precisely what. Had she done the same she had to Cole? She also couldn't help noticing how scared and down he looked.

"Oh, hey there again, Jack ... Uh, about the same that must have happened to you, I gather ... Are you OK?" She said rather concernedly.

Library - normalized

The feelings of sorrow Sans felt when Cole completed his transformation were all too familiar, it was like that of Sadness' from way before, but weaker. He managed to hold on very well, the aura not having any visible effect on him.

The stuff that was said afterwards was a real low blow on Caro, even if most of it was lies that she could easily call out, the one part that was true left her shaken up and so her rebuttal came off as weak.

Before anything else could be said, Tairee did something to Cole that made him go back to normal. Judging from how Cole said things were quiet now, that must've meant he had lost his powers and considering the same had happened to Jack and the librarian having said he was now human... It must've meant the same thing happened to the kid. The way Cole was talking about feeling so many things was... weird, didn't he always have a heart and blood? How was it that he was only feeling that now? Well, that was probably weird spirit stuff.

"it's ok, kid, we'll be fine," he said upon listening to Cole's apology, although he didn't get involved in the little hug Caro was giving him, he did make sure to stay close to the girl and placed a hand on her shoulder as a simple gesture of support.

Then Jack approached them asking about what was going on.

"looks like both of you have lost your spirit parts," he responded, shrugging, "though cole seems to be happy with it, you're looking kinda... dispirited."

Library - Time out

Unsurprisingly, people reacted violently to OFB's attempt to read their stories. And unsurprisingly, Miss Tairee was obligated to stop them. Turning Jack human was a response that surprised her though.

And something was going on with Cole? But before she had a chance to try and figure out what it was, it was over, ended apparently by Miss Tairee as well, much to the demon's amusement. Jerk. And if the demon wasn't bad enough, some girl seemed intent on pestering the librarian despite her obviously having her hands full... Both of them. "Hey, kid. If you want something, why don't you wait your turn like a good little girl?" Curly said offhandedly as she stood to walk over toward the now humanized spirits. "You okay, Jack?"

Cole gasped softly when Caro hugged him, blinking a few times, looking as though he had to think about this, but then he reached up to touch her arm, swallowing hard. "It...it's the demon part of me, the part I hate, I..." He still sounded more like a normal person talking with the odd lightness his voice usually had before, but that bit of wonder came through as well. "You...you don't blame me...and I...I feel things, really feel them, because I'm real, I'm actually real..."

He looked up at Sans as the skeleton spoke, looking nervous for a moment, before just lowering his gaze. "I'm sorry..."

He then caught sight of Jack, taking in his appearance, and he seemed to be...he seemed...what did he seem?

Cole abruptly pulled loose from Caro and stood, reaching out and embracing Jack tightly. "Jack Frost, we are people! I know you don't like this but I'm real now! I got so afraid when you threw that at the demon that I changed and Miss Tairee made me this way! She made me a human!"

"You know, you do *urp* you do you and all that, I mean - I mean, knowing how these kinds of things go, w-we're going to *urp* probably wind up confromting the writer guy sooner than later, probably near the end of this whole experience as some kind of, oh, I dunno, what's the word..."

Jack smiled at Caro when she asked if he was ok, but even he was sure it was shaky. Still, it wouldn't do to worry her. "Hey, kid. Yeah, don't, don't worry about me. I'm fine."

The spirit glanced at Cole with a mix of curiosity and worry. Tairee had taken his powers as well? Why? Was that why he was acting like that? He'd have to find a way to get her to give them back to the kid. San's pun wasn't in any way amusing to him, and he glared at the skeleton with open venom. He was about to blast the skeleton with his magic when he realized he didn't have it anymore, and couldn't. His face got darker. "Hilarious."

With one more glare, Jack turned to answer Curly, but before he could he was pulled into a tight hug. The now mortal teen froze, still unused to the feeling. It was warm, and as he looked down at the young boy hugging him and he spoke, he couldn't help but smile slightly. He held his tongue when Cole said he was real, like he had never been before, and it hurt that his attempt to cheer up the boy had scared him. But, listening to how happy he sounded, the first time the spirit had heard him like that, he couldn't regret the decision; And even the sting of losing his powers was lessened. He wrapped his arms around Cole and hugged him tightly. "That's, that's great to hear, Cole. I'm glad you're ok." And happy.

Ara Haan (Library) - Partial Disclosure Agreement

For the following few seconds, Ara watched the events in the library unfold from the relative comfort of her chair. In truth, even though she had waken up recently, the constant barrage of stressful events was starting to exhaust her. Also possibly the fact that her body had not received the same amount of rest her mind had.

And they did not seem like they were going to stop any time soon.

Suddenly, plenty of people were standing and insisting they wished for their stories to remain confidential. She personally did not mind people knowing about her, but the way the bird was trying to do it was simply... not right. I did also offer some advice regarding that. So it took her only a moment to decide what to do.

"I would like to request confidentiality on my end as well, please," she stated, standing up. "If someone wishes to know something about me, they should ask me directly about it."

There was a brief pause, during which I whispered something else to her so she could communicate it aloud.

"Oh. Eun says she does not mind what is done with any information about her."

Radio channel 93

There was a shorter pause before Jeff's voice responded. "... Are you kidding me right now dude? You're shitting the bed pretty hard here. This channel is for people to call and tell us stuff, not the other way around. We already told everything we know on channel 94; if I had something I wanted to hold back on, why the FUCK would I tell it to some random bozo who calls? Get the heck off my channel" Jeff's voice told Gon harshly, sounding annoyed.

Library, EVERYONE IS UPSET AND IT'S NOT GETTING BETTER ANY TIME SOON

As the further requests came in and with quick taps on Miss Tairee 1's keyboard, the Shovel Knight, Rise of the Guardians, and Elsword books disappeared. Just as before, Old Feather Beak looked unfazed, and continued with the collection of books he still had left. "I find it curious, how some of you are mentioned by name, while others are not" Old Feather Beak commented, ignoring Rex.

Miss Tairee 1, seeming to ignore what was going on with Cole, Jack, Sans, and Caro save for a brief glance, kept her eyes on Viola. "Since it's handled on a case by case basis, it would be impractical to the point of impossible to list every single contingency that could cause punishment to be mandated" Miss Tairee 1 said, still in that forcefully neutral tone she'd been using before. "Besides, I am, somewhat preoccupied" the librarian added, cringing and losing focus on this body as Miss Tairee 2 was struggling with Ben somewhere behind her.

"Ben, stop- Ben!" Miss Tairee 2 said, grabbing Ben's other arm as well but too late to stop him from shooting out the grappling hook. The vine rushed forth towards the daemon, the little chomper head at the end biting the air repeatedly. Like with Jack's snowball, Old Feather Beak raised a hand in its direction without even looking, and it halted in the air short of him.

When Miss Tairee 1 did continue, her voice was more strained, trying to hold back emotions. "The simple version is that anything that disrupts my duties or hampers other patrons is against the rules. If done so in a violent manner, punishment will be given without warning. If in a non-violent way, they will be given a warning first, then punished" Miss Tairee 1 explained to Viola.

"You- you didn't give them any warnings first!" Thomas said, pointing to Cole and Jack.

"I just gave you all a warning not long ago" Miss Tairee 2 reminded him.

"And yet you're still showing clear favoritism" Old Feather Beak said, looking at Miss Tairee 2, "the boy has attempted violence on me twice now, and you still have not truly punished him."

"I s... I said, it's a case by case basis" Miss Tairee 2 responded, her voice cracking. She looked down at Ben, frowning sadly, as Miss Tairee 1 typed on her computer. Miss Tairee 2 then let go of Ben as the boy was swept off the floor into one of the transparent bubbles, the vinehook getting abruptly reeled back in to Ben as it happened.

Seiga blinked. You know, the kind of "blinked" where it's trying to imply someone isn't comprehending the situation, because of course Seiga blinks normally and regularly. It's Yoshika who doesn't blink. It wasn't because of the revelation about having to kill their kidnapper, because that would be most everyone's end goal and if it was possible, they'd try.

Even better, it wasn't Seiga who expressed her confusion, but Yoshika. "So, you don't...actually need us to do anything?" Seiga looked around like she was missing something, and then added, "You're fine on your own, then? That's..."

She didn't even know what that is, but Yoshika did. She leaned up and whispered into her master's ear, "Why did we even come here?"

While many people had already gotten their books removed, there was still a lot one could do with the knowledge in the remainder. A storm was brewing and Lucas wanted to be ready for it.

Lucas, still near the desk, thought for a few seconds about what could be of use to him. After a few moments of thought he came up with two items that could be useful.

Lucas said to Miss Tairee, "I w-want a shield killer, which is like a sticky hand toy that peels off bits of a shield that its stuck to. Also, I want a yo-yo strong enough to be a decent weapon that could work on the d-demon. Could you please give them to me?" Those two things would give Lucas some more versatility.

The Library — Too Soon

Old Feather Beak simply ignored Rex's questions. No surprise there, but at least he had tried doing something... Something that wasn't outright attacking him, of course, like Ben had just to end inside a bubble. Even if was Tairee there, that option was still on the table. It just wasn't the most sensible one.

The comment about his name being on the title of his book was interesting, though.

"I don't like to brag, but I'm sort of world famous. I bring hope to people that lost it years ago. You know, it's not a big deal"

Viola strangely ignored the whole ordeal with the demon and started asking Tairee about the rules of the library. She wanted to make sure she wouldn't break one by accident in the future even if the librarian had admitted that she had punished her out of pettiness. Still, apparently she couldn't write down the rules because everything was dealt with on a case by case basis. No danger of favoritism there, no sir.

This was so obvious even the bird-demon himself pointed it out. You know you hit rock bottom when a mind-controlling demon born out humans' madness could take the moral ground over you.

"I think you're straining your brain trying to justify all this malarkey"

At least things were going well(?) for Cole, who had apparently taken his newfound humanity in stride. Jack, on the other hand, wasn't as thrilled and Sans took the opportunity to joke about him. Looks like that little argument in the grocery store had fixed nothing. The last thing they needed now was to start mistrusting each other.

"Really, Sans? This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about back in the store. Come on, man"

Viola I Library I Another Troublesome One

I looked over another girl who asked that I should be waiting for my turn like a 'good little girl' that I am, with the librarian preoccupied with everyone else. Now who does she think she is? Slightly irritated but not letting it show because she actually has a point, I turned to her.

"You're right." I told her simply before she went off, and waited.

Thankfully, I don't have to wait long as Miss Tairee gave her answer. I'm still not fully satisfied with it, but I can tell that arguing further would yield nothing. At least it's still an answer that I can keep track of and the fact that I've been told there will be a small warning the next time I did something similar gives comfort to me, however small.

Now, as amusing as it is to see people digging their own graves(or not), I'd rather prefer to stay out of here when the Librarian is finally gone for the day. If rendering her unconscious would result in a defenseless library, what's to say her being away wouldn't?

And so I waited again, looking around to see if there's anyone besides the Ruckus evacuating out of here anytime soon, one who would hopefully allow a defenseless little girl like me to tag along them.

Ben felt himself get swept up into the transparent bubble, powerless without the Omnitrix being on, and in a frantic state he started to bang on the wall of the bubble with his fists, trying to get out, to no avail. He tried fiddling with the watch on his wrist now that his arm was free, but Miss Tairee had seemingly completely shut the watch off. He was... normal again. Normal and powerless as a winged birdlike monster had free reign to find out everything about everyone. The winged bird-like monster he had to stop. But he couldn't.

"What did you do to my watch?! Turn it back on! Lemme out! I need to stop Old Feather Beak! I need to protect you guys! Let! Me! Go! I can't let more people get hurt! I can't! Please!" Eve froze. She had done it before, so it wasn't unusual. She was scared. The demon was here, and blocked several attacks with ease. She had never faced anything like it. Eve was afraid. Creed may have been insane, but he was still human. Eve was terrified...

...But she couldn't afford to be.

Not while Ben was breaking down in his bubble, Rex was about to do something really stupid, and a fight was about to break out that would cause some serious issues. The only one Eve could think of to help was Ben, and that was only because she wasn't great with suicidal stupidity.

Not even sparing the reading demon a glance, Eve walked over to the bubble and nonchantlantly leaned against it, as if this was a day to day occurance. Than she clicked her fingers in froont of Ben's face to try and break him out of breakdown.

"You know, if you keep that up you'll get yourself concussed."

Ben was nice. But he was dumb. She was starting to think that maybe dealing with Rex would have been easier. It was too late now, of course, so Eve spoke again.

"But you have too. What you're doing right now will do nothing. The only result you will get is possibly bruising your hands. You can't do anything right now."

She almost felt bad about how brutal she was being. But what she was getting to was a lesson Ben had to learn. Wherever he came from, the people were a whole heap nicer than in the City.

"Ben, you're a ten-year old boy. Powerless, inside an unbreakable bubble. You don't seem to have any martial arts training, or any form of self-defence apart from the Omnitrix. And even if you had that, you are still trapped inside an unbreakable bubble. You can't do anything right now."

Library, the backfiring of good intentions

"You really should save your strength, Ben" Miss Tairee 2 muttered somewhat sadly, before taking a few steps away from the bubble and focusing her attention on Old Feather Beak again. Thomas, now that he thought the librarian wasn't paying attention to them any more, creeped up next to Ben's bubble, using Eve as an ad hoc visual block between himself and the librarian. There, he pointed his wand at the bubble, nearly touching the tip up against the bubble, and started quietly trying a few spells to see if he could free Ben, all in vain.

"I can provide you a weaker version of that shield killer, and a yo-yo sturdy enough to be used as a weapon" Miss Tairee 1 said to Lucas, after a little bit of typing on her computer. A little more typing later, and the two objects appeared in front of Lucas on the desk with a quick blur.

"Oh ho ho? We can request objects be materialized, including weapons? Now isn't that interesting?" Old Feather Beak said, pointing a hand at the pen and paper at the desk and once again telekinetically raising the pen to start scribbling on the notepads. "I would like whatever of these are permitted" the daemon added, floating multiple notes one by one over to Miss Tairee 2.

Miss Tairee, both of her, had her posture straighten up a little as her fists clenched and arms shook just a little bit more, then Miss Tairee 2 said, "very well" as Miss Tairee 1 got typing. With blurs, various weapons started to appear around Old Feather Beak, some of which were taking by his current entourage. Such as Yael claiming a weapon he'd been seen with previously, one of the others taking a short, double barreled weapon that Sans might recognize, the third took a gun that Eve had become acquainted with, while the fourth got some kind of oddly shaped hand cannon with a glow coming from the barrel. All four each then took some kind of short sword that looked like a somewhat fancy gladius, as an apparent backup option. Old Feather Beak himself was now sporting more than just books floating around himself; now there was a spread of those same short swords, numerous small scrolls, and a few glass jars that each appeared to be holding around a gallon of a viscous, black substance.

As Wells watched this occur, his scowl deepened, but then something caught his attention in the corner of his vision. He looked outside, seeing that the star in the center of the city's miniaturized little solar system had started to get a bit larger and turn a red color. "That looks like a star nearing the end of its life, but why..." Wells muttered to himself, then eyes widened just a tad. He turned to his militia men, and started directing some of them to grab most of the halberds the librarian had made for them, and leave for the prison. "Dave, you should go with them" the soldier added to the troll doctor.

"You sure you don't want me to stay here, for when the fighting's done?" Dave pointed out.

"No, as soon as the fighting's done we'll be headed there anyway. You'd be a priority target here, and if you died and came back somewhere random in the city we'd be really worse off" Wells responded, to which Dave thought for a moment, shrugged, then followed the militia members who were preparing to leave. "You should go with them as well, girl" the soldier then said to Viola, and glanced at the Fanboys to add, "you three as well."

"Oh like heck we're gonna miss this" Calvin said with determination, despite the terrified expression he had towards Old Feather Beak.

"Don't worry about us man, we know the risk, and we won't hold it against you guys if we get hit by a stray attack or something" Silvester added in a slightly more level headed tone, to reassure Wells.

"... If you're absolutely certain then" Wells thought out loud. He moved to take one of the halberds and got it slung on his back, and a few of the militia moved to do the same, such as Fastanook who held the halberd ready in lieu of his hammer. When it was said and done, it looked like Wells, Samson, Fastanook, and one other militia member were preparing to stay. As the others prepared in the airlock, Wells looked back and gave one last order, "and somebody call Silanea's people to inform them of the situation!"

The library

Ben shook his head. "No. You're wrong! There's gotta be something I can do! There's gotta!" He looked at the bag of things he had collected. It had given him an idea. A horrific idea that he would never try unless he was desperate like this, but desperate times called for desperate measures. It hurt to even consider such an idea, but if he was right...

...if he respawned, he'd respawn back in the City with everything the way it was when he left. Including the watch.

"There's one thing I can do," Ben responded to Eve, his voice (while still pained) taking a more quiet, somber tone. With that, he grabbed the guitar axe from his bag, turned the "blade" towards himself, and raised the axe up above himself, ready to swing it down and slice himself in half. His arms were shaking in fright. He wasn't sure if he could do this. But right now he didn't have any other choice. And he would just come back.... right??

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Lobros

Of course it would deny a formal fight. Frankly, the notion in which the feathered fiend replied to the challenge irked Lothric more than the refusal itself.

He looked over at the Ben currently considering a ritual suicide. The prince looked over to Fanboys. "It would best for you if you made yourself scarce, friends." He addressed the three, shaking his head. "If there won't be any fighting still, no one can tell what will happen shortly. It might be a grim prospect."

He went back to Ben. "Steady your attempt, young one. Even if you were to escape the clutches of this prison, a woman of such power can cage you the moment you breathe your first breath again." Whether she could, Lothric did not know, but she was doing an extraordinarily good job at keeping the demon safe and its enemies humiliated. "It will be pain and misery for you, and all for nothing."

"She is the cosmic force that sees the world towards the direction she pleases." He continued in the same soft voice. "By her touch people become another, the others lose their powers. That the demon and his flock stand there unimpeded is only by her hand. If she cared for anything else but her platitudes of duty and equality, odds are the demon would be the one humiliated and chased away."

"But what good book has been written on goodness?" He chuckled as he looked over at Tairee behind the desk, then looked at Old Feather Beak. "Do enjoy the read. I'm curious to see what will your opinions be, seeing as you're bound to stay around for quite some time."

Library - When friends argued and enemies are armed

Caro smiled sweetly at Sans and then Cole, saying, first to the later "Yeah, it's all gonna be fine. I can't blame you for what happened when you were in that state," then turning towards the former, and then saying, "I'm alright too now, Sans. Thank you."

It was clear to her that this whole thing was bothering Jack, but she didn't know what she do about it. It was equally clear that he was trying not to bother her with it and if he was set on that, there was not much she could do change that. Things only got worse for the ,currently former she supposed, spirit when Sans made a rather ill-timed and admitedly somewhat insensitive pun, given the current situation. In the state Jack was in, it was understandable that he would get quite expect. However something about his reaction was off. It seemed far worse than being accidently hurt by a friend. What was going on between those two

Cole then rather excitedly jumped out of their embrace and proceeded to hug Jack and animatedly thank him for getting him turned into a human. It was rather heartwarming to watch and it seemed to have helped Jack as well.

As Rex complained about what Sans had said, she wondered what she should do about it. It was clearly that something serious was up and needed to adressed. At the same time, she didn't want to ruin the happy moment Jack was having with Cole and she also thought that it wouldn't be wise to bring up any more tension while the demon was still around.

She was taken out of that reverie when she then witnessed the Lord of Change arming himself and his followers through requests to Miss Tairee. The demon itself now had a veritable arsenal floating around him, along with books, scrolls and much more. That definitely was not good.

A fight was definitely coming soon and even though it wouldn't be happening now, what with Miss Tairee being still around to stop it, it was better to get as much prepared as possible. Remembering her request, she then suddenly made her way over to the librarian's desk; While she was getting there, she saw several militia members pick up weapons that looked like spears from over there. Given the whole context of the situation, those were likely the same thing as she herself had asked for. With that in mind, she grabbed one of the remaining such weapons and then began to make her way back to her friends, in preparation for what was to come.

Library - warning signs

Sans didn't show much reaction to Jack and outright ignored Rex, deciding to let the two former spirits have their moment together. Meanwhile, the demon was getting weapons for all of his team and the militia began leaving with only their leader and a few others staying, not only that but the sun seemed to be getting all red. That meant one thing, that star was about to die which probably meant the challenge was going to start soon, after all it's not like that sun would be sticking around for the next day. One thing concerned worried Sans a little though: was it going to go through a supernova?

Either way, hearing Wells' last command to his men, Sans pulled out his cellphone and began using the walkie-talkie function, the channel already set to the anti-humans'

"boss, the demon is in the library here with me and a bunch of other people, including the militia boss. we're kinda stuck here since we can't fight inside the place. also the sun is turning red so that means the daily challenge might be about to start."
