Well, that's too bad; guess you'll have to look for Total War: Warhammer instead . I for one am sick of Orcs. They are everywhere, and as such the most boring and generic villains in the WH universe, despite being anything but generic by Orc standards.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. Also Skavens are the main reason Jesper Kyd took his approach for the game soundtrack, he composed it as a Skaven's theme. It probabky won't be as unique or intimidating with Orcs or Dark Elves that pop a boner for every headshot I bet they do anyway.
Indeed .
Alienware are giving away another batch of beta keys. Next test run is on the 5th, at 10 AM PDT.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. There was around a thousand when I clicked on it, and then there was none after I managed to make an account.

tbh I want a not realtime strategy game set in the warhammer universe so I can play something akin to tabletop in a virtual format without a fear GW will crash in any second and C&D it in the name of forcing us all to buy models >_>
I guess we should be happy Fantasy Battles is getting any late adaptations at all, considering the Age of Sigmar has begun, and the new stuff is essentially "Warhammer 40K without the dieselpunk". I'm willing to bet my testicles that GW are gonna merge the Warhammer and WH40K universes eventually at one point, no matter how much they'd have to retcon and shoehorn the lore in order to make it work.

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.I dunno
Honestly , given the dieselpunk and smaller skirmish size of Ao S, it strikes me more as the warhammerr answer to Warmachine
Granted, it wouldnt surprise me if they folded the lore of Ao S into being taking place inside the Eye of terror. Sigmar sounds way too much like a warp manifestation of human belief in the God-Emperor to not make that make sense

Yeah, 'at's what came to my mind. Gameplay-wise, it's of course nuffink like the large-scale battles of either Fantasy or 40K.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. That would be awesome xD
"The dwarf is down... again."
I quite like how the game differentiates between an aggressive (Dwarf) and a defensive (Imperial guard) tank class, with the Dwarf being more suited to breaching straight through enemy groups, whereas the Guard is taking out clusters instead.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. From all the good things I've heard and another friend expressing much interest in it, bought the game. Beta's feeling quite good, only occasional bugs with Skaven standing around doing nothing really sticking out and performance seems to be a bit under par on high.
Finding the game a lot of fun, though I seem to be very poor at charged attacks, especially bad since I'm trying to use the Great Hammer and Great Sword. I seem to be incapable of timing them to hit before I get hit...perhaps I need to be pushing more. Blunderbuss be fun as hell though.
Okay, here's a recap of the game.
So, I have not been able to start any games or even host them because people are voting to kick me off the team for... I have no idea. This isn't people who want to have a private game, and it isn't because of any actions I have taken because I haven't done anything.
From my perspective, there are assholes who are kicking people from teams because they're assholes.
I see no way to report them or to even block them from playlists so I don't have to be on their teams.
It doesn't help I'm reviewing the game post-release to see how the community is.

What is your ping in relation to the servers? You trying to use a specific class consistently?
Who watches the watchmen? From what I understand, some people kick people who are "not high enough level" (something Left 4 Dead avoided, of course), and also kicked people without VOIP (and why there's no mic option in-game, I don't know.)
So, yeah, Fatshark fucked up on that. Too easy to kick people instead of, you know, creating a private game. Never underestimate the fuckwaddery of gamers.
If this continues, people will simply not play and word of mouth will be really, really bad. I'm not the only one angry about this in the forums.
The community has been a bunch of subhuman fucks since the beta days. If Fatshark aren't cleaning up their clinentele, their game won't last long. Seems to be a specific group of trolls/griefers, though, at least that's what Jim-fucking-Sterling-son observed.

eh, I'm just not excited both because of the game type and because I absolutely despise the skaven in a "I'd rather not see them in any format ever and their fans can stuff it" way >_>
