I'm sorry if this sounds presumptuous, but to me, the people who actually draw pornographic and/or fetish content based on children's cartoons must have serious psychological disorders and need help. I certainly think so.

You basically just insulted the creator of Steven Universe. because she was guilty of doing that as well. [lol]

So, it's immature to enjoy sports because there are people who obsess over the stats and players and even start bloody fights with fans of other teams, as well?

Show me a single aspect of human life that hasn't been tainted at one point or another with single minded immature people making it the centre of their lives, please.

I've never really liked sports, and I don't understand all the fighting over what is just a game. However, I don't hate all sports fans. Just like I don't hate all fans of things, I just think fandoms are getting out of hand. And I'm the minority of people who think they are spoiling it for people outside fandoms, such as myself. =/

And yes, I know that every fandom has porn and pairings and whatnot, but I just don't know why it's accepted and seen as normal. I honestly think it shouldn't be. I've seen people react badly to pornographic content of cartoons and I completely understand their perception. To me, it's not normal, it's disturbing as shit. And yet it's not supposed to be controversial anymore, but it's just an everyday thing in the fandom world.

Oh, you have got to be kidding me. Why did she even admit to that?

[up][up] Because like everybody else she's human. Nobody is perfect or can fit your view as to what's acceptable.

It's best you accept that.

It's not that uncommon for artists to draw porn of their characters. Would you be surprised to know that the Sponge Bob staff does that?

Frankly, it's fine if you don't necessarily agree with what they draw, but to say they're wrong for doing so isn't that mature, dude.

Don't listen to that guy! He's trying to lead you down the path of righteousness. I'm gonna lead you down the path that rocks.

Yeah, the Internet's filled with porn, but I don't understand why people would make porn of established fictional characters, especially cartoon ones.

As for the whole "prog rock is complex and challenging, so I like it" thing, I don't like it BECAUSE it's complex and challenging, I like it because it's just such great and imaginative music, in my opinion. It just feels really rewarding to enjoy it as well, because it's intricate stuff and takes a while to acquire a taste for.

....I still don't know why in this day and age people are surprised by the existence of Rule 34. That shit has been around since the end of time. Do you know that Disney and a lot of other prominent figures who created timeless stuff aimed towards kids were porn artists at one point (hell a few of them started out as one)? Would you find it horrible to know that the female host of the Sprout network was a former pornstar?

Seriously, this shouldn't surprise people at this point. Humans as a whole have always been perverted....

Yeah, I understand PORN, all adults watch porn, but I don't get porn of established cartoon characters. For example, sexualised images of MLP's ponies, or anime characters like Sailor Moon enjoying various fetishes like bondage.

Maybe if you drew it as a joke, had a quick laugh about it and tossed it in the trash for nobody to see, fine, but uploading it online? I'd never do that. There's a You Tube channel I like called "I Hate Everything" ran by a Brit called Alex Bolton. And in his "Top 5 Worst Fanbases" video, he talks about fandom porn and claims that it is indeed a problem. I also watched a pretty funny video making fun of Deviant Art which said that most of it is porn. It's a video where this little white blob character uploads some art online but no-one sees it because it's surrounded by fetish porn.

In fact I've actually seen well-drawn cartoon porn. By that I mean people who clearly have artistic talent, and they use it draw highly detailed cartoon character porn. Uhm.

The more of this conversation I see, the more I grow convinced it's subtle passive-agressive bait.

As the jobless 20 year old who watches Cartoon Network and lives with his mom, I proudly say," Fuck you conformity, fuck you social norms, and FUCK YOU to anyone who says that I'm an idiot for not living their way."

With that said, I watch this show, I like it because it doesn't relies soley on mindless comedy, it deals with the morality of betraying your peers for something you love, and I find it entertaining.

[up][up][up]Your issue is not your opinion. It's your attitude or tone in your posts....

And just FYI we do not hate you in any sense of the word. We are just trying to convince you to consider the fact that being mature has nothing to do with that you like. Good Cartoons appeal to all age groups....

Yeah, I'm half way through episode 1, and it's enjoyable. Not especially profound at the moment but I've heard that it really picks up. :) I've paused it a lot to reply to comments.

Passive-aggressive bait? How? I was just wondering what people think of an adult watching a cartoon, and whether it's okay to despite being jobless/friendless. I was wondering if I should focus more on improving my life, and whether this cartoon would get in the way. That's all.

Well I didn't bring up the Rule 34 part... I actually hoped someone wouldn't.

Isn't there a trope page for it? If so, why is it wrong to talk about it? It's clearly legitimate according to TV Tropes.

It starts with you going into a forum based around animation, full of animation fans, then starting implying it's immature and childish to watch animation. People responds politely and try to be helpful, but at each turn you keep pushing what are either actual or acted insecurities on fandoms as a whole on them, and start associating animation watching with porn, despite porn having nothing to do with your original question, that only asked about the actual show, not any Rule 34 based on it or on anything else (see also- goalposting). All the while making generous use of stereotyping.

You can watch programs without being part of the fandom, but complaining about said fandom and/or it's creator ain't going to help anything

We can't talk about Rules 34, 35, and 63 because it makes the gods of this site turn into...The Hulk.

And Hulk hates porn!!!

[up][up][up][up]Pretty much this. He explained it better than I could probably ever could.

Again your likes aren't getting in the way of you being a mature person from what I have seen. Your insecurities and other possible unknown variables (I can't pretend to know your circumstances) is usually what gets in the way.

And yes you did come off as a bit antagonistic. Stereotypes have some grain of truth to them but the vast majority of the concept relies on exaggerations...
