Black Clover Manga Thread

Well in this case it's how much Devil Power they can tap into. This is the first time any of them have been able to tap into the full thing.

Especially since Magicula was telling Vanica to kill Lolo. Vanica deciding to capture her instead really helped them out.

Yeah Vanica's hedonism really paid off. Especially even though her devil pointed out that they should kill the Heart Kingdom's wisdom then and there. Then Morris, who was established to have the power to transplant magical powers long before, takes the wisdom for himself... and now devils are let loose and the triad are at full power.

Well, it's really just a case of Right for the Wrong Reasons.

Vanica spared Lola to make her enemies fight harder and further feed her sadism.

The fact it had a benefit beyond her own fickleness is just incredibly lucky...for them. Everyone else is kinda fucked.

As Morris himself said, even the wanton acts of nutjobs can be useful sometimes.

Huh, the anime's ending soon. Guess they're taking a break since they got so bloody close to the manga.

Also there will be a major announcement when Episode 170 comes out. May be a movie or announcing the next season a year or so from now... either way it's very likely the Black Clover anime will be returning eventually

I heard speculation it's gonna be seasonal. Which honestly should always be the case. Constantly-running adaptations tend to suffer a lot in the quality department from filler, low budgets and sometimes having to invent endings.

I've seen some people guessing that it might also be so that Bleach has an open slot for its return.

Yeah same studio so it's a good time to end the anime for Pierrot to focus on Bleach. BC was getting really close to the manga anyways and it's a nice opportunity to transition to seasonal format too if it returns.

I waited years for the Bleach anime to return and can do it again for Black Clover

New chapter:

Asta takes the field, and in a spectacular manner as well.

And it looks like Julius's secret is out, so they'll be looking for a new Wizard King after this is all over.

Asta's going to pull a Lumiere now that Julius has been exposed and the other Magic Knights couldn't stop the demon. So excited to see his Devil Union. Putting my money on a Berserker Armor homage.

Got some unfinished panels in the Viz version, some of which were in important spots. Everyone OK over there? (Knocks on screen)

I give those other guys points for trying. Sorry, though, none of you are the main character.

I know I'm supposed to find Asta annoying, but that's really only when he's on the subject of Sister Lily. Any other time, I actually like the guy. Fights the bad guys, wants them to be sorry, wants them to actually prove they're sorry instead of just accepting the first lie they feed him... you can really see him as an IQ 100 individual, no more and no less.

I'm really enjoying Liebe, since he understands Asta and how tropology applies to him. He's been there the whole time and finally gets to fight alongside him as a full partner. The line "Let's go, Liebe!" while cliche is a perfect lead-in for what we're about to get: a badass full-power Union Mode. Yeah, I'm up for that.

That's my future Wizard King and his brother! Asta sure has grown a lot on me since I started the series.

That new Devil Union, and saving the kingdom with everyone watching too.

Though in the case of filler, i enjoyed the ones Black Clover did.

Anyway, Devil Union Asta looks badass!

So many double-spreads this chapter! Tabata brought his A-game with the art.

Love the armor's look and that Asta is being recognized by the Kingdom, especially with lots of characters we've seen commenting. Klaus cheering him on was really heartwarming too.

Am I wrong or are those wings functional? He can probably maneuver about as well as Noelle. I like the design, not overcomplicated and it's reminiscent of the red spike he had on his headband since the beginning, like a motif. Also, he gained Liebe's ability not to mince words. He said the only thing he absolutely needed to say.

Lost all his muscle though.

The wings look functional, the panels show it flaring out while he's flying.

He does look a lot skinnier Might be because of the armor or he's fusing with Liebe who's thin.

That was a whole lotta chapter for "Asta chops the big devil in half", huh.

Asta's face kind of kills the design for me.
