@Syme:I wanna keep the Senrion/Polaris action going, though. Besides, the name Alpha's already been taken by Micool, and you've already introduced Gamma.
He looks shocked at what he's hearing. He then looks sad.
"...I'll be honest with you. If it weren't for this game, I would have accepted. This game is my last chance. I can't stop it. And the results of this game will leave you in tears if I return your feelings. That's a given."
He sits down on a chair.
"No matter the situation, there's always a way out. That's what I always say. ...But that's not really true. Sometimes... there isn't..."

A young, brown haired man holding a gun, seemingly trapped in a chamber and in a state of pure panic and despair, reaches out for the only item in the room.

He sighs sadly.
"...If I return your feelings to you, nothing good will come out of it. This would only last until the end of the game, or even sooner, if I end up dying. You would be in danger constantly. Not just by my enemies, but also my allies, who'd see you as a reason I'd go weak for. Vezon would, without hesitation, suck the life out of you, and because I need him, I can't stop him. Don't you understand? If it weren't for the situation I'm in, I wouldn't say no to you."
He then looks sad, both at Damian and Femji.
"If I change, I'll lost the only chance I have left. I have to continue this game. I will continue this game. The only way I can keep going is if I don't form bonds with people. If I do, it'll just make it so much harder to get through..."

Polaris smiles, and, motioning for Senrion to follow, walks towards the hotel.

Senrion smiles back as he follows Polaris to the hotel.
Damian looks sad "Are you just giving up?" he says simply "Resigning yourself to a fate like this? If I were you, I would would take the chance of escape rather than live one more moment running that terrible game. No matter what the cost. And, trust me, I've been in situations like yours. I'm more experienced than you think. And, if even if things look bleak, there is always ways out. You just have to look.."

As soon as they reach a room, Polaris sits down on the couch, looking around.

Senrion sits down next to Polaris on the couch, then puts his arm around her. "Well, this room is certainly lovely, if I do say so myself."
That's just how it is on this bitch of an earth
"It isn't about giving up. I don't have a choice in the matter. If I don't continue this game, I won't reach my goal."
He puts one hand on his head, and he looks really troubled now.
"The only way to reach my goal is to be the bad guy until this game is over! There is no way out! It's part of the deal!"
He pauses. He looks shocked and horrified. Then he closes his eyes.
"...I'm not going to quit. I really hate it... but this game must go on until the end. The very end. Four pieces are already considered gone. There's four more to go. After that, all that's left is me."
He turns, looking at Picky.
"Wake up, Picky."
Picky opens his eyes.
"Mm... huh... what?"
"Our day off is over. Return to the HQ. I will follow soon. If I stay away too long, send Vezon to get me back."
"...Yes, sir..."
Picky walks out of the cafe and flies off. The Black King turns back to Damian and Femji.
"...I'm sorry."

Polaris smiles, before sighing softly and leaning a bit closer to Senrion.
"...What was your childhood like?"

"Hmm... I don't think I remember too much of my childhood, to be honest," Senrion says to Polaris, leaning in closer to her as well. "Though I do remember my clan's Keeper teaching me how to properly use magic."

Damian reluctantly waves goodbye, knowing he can't stop him from leaving. "Until we meet again" he says quietly.
He looks at Fenji and says calmly "That doesn't seem like a good idea. The possible consequences could be deadly"

"Indeed, I have come a long way since I was a child learning how to cast a simple spell," Senrion says to Polaris. "And what was your childhood like, may I ask?"
He looks even more shocked then before.
"Join me!? But..."
He ponders.
"...You know the risks, right? You'll become a target for my enemies, they'll try to kill you..."
He sees her hopeful and determined stare.
"...Alright. But on one condition."
He looks serious.
"You will not become a piece. Because the pieces will surely all die. Instead, you will become a spy. That not only gives you less risk, because you don't need to die in order for my enemies to get to me, you won't die for real and will be able to respawn, unlike the pieces and me, and, should you ever change your mind about all this, there's nothing stopping you from leaving. ...And no matter what, you must accept the outcome of this game, no matter who wins. Is that alright?"

She trails off for a minute before she smiles.
"But, rest assured, death never stopped him. He, as a spirit, continued to protect me in the form of a domesticated dog, although I was unaware at first."
"When a magic user helped me regain my hearing, not to mention helped me understand spoken language, my brother eventually told me the truth, and, after making some agreements on how he could protect me in a better way, we set off to find more about the art of magic."
