Chihaya watched the two planes circle around her Harridan as she continued pushing forward at a steady pace. She was just as curious of them as they were of her. After one had circled twice, she gave the pilot a friendly wave. Maybe they were allies?

Each one of the 5 ships got damaged by the missiles!

Milky's ship got behind the other ones for covering himself, since he must recharge his beam. Meanwhile, Painty's ship deploys a pair of giant speakers!

Belka? This is the Arena! And it belongs to everyone! You messed up with the Vanilla Gang, and our duty is to protect the dreams and lives of the Arenagoers! This is our last warning! Get out of here!

During Painty's speech, VG!Cyrus, Candy and Cherry attack the three remaining Strike Eagles.

Painty shouts in a falsetto through the speakers, weaponizing her own voice! The other ships keep on firing while circling Painty's ship, with the exception of Milky: he's focusing into saving firepower.

Marco brings the other pilot there, and fly towards his sky-bound allies, arriving near the Vanilla Gang!

Hoi! Ya need some help there? There's quite a bit of enemies left! He greets them.

The Pirates gather around the pilots, with Whitebeard taking charge in the interrogation. Still, they keep their guns and swords out just in case!

I'm not interested in your wars... But I know some people who'd like to have information on you. I also know some people who will be merely thrown overboard if they give us satisfying intel. There's an island nearby. He points to Skull Island.

The reasons don't matter. You've made them clear enough. What I'd like to know is what weaponry you possess beside these flying ships, in what numbers, and where you'd put them.

Fallout 2? More like Fallout 2 bad.

The machine guns ripped at Chihaya's harridan. While most bullets bounce off of the armored carapace, a few manage to find a weak spot and inflict some damage. The beast roared in response and Chihaya could feel it's pain and anger through her summoned link with it. "Definitely hostile. Nobody hurts you girl and gets away with it." She mentally controlled the flying beast to direct it's wing-tipped bio cannons at the jet that fired at her and unleashed 6 rapid shots in a slight spread. Each shot was a large clump filled with maggot like organisms, and should one impact it's target, they'll explode into an extremely corrosive acid.

She then coaxed the harridan to make a beeline towards the other jet, the 18ft long talons at the ready.

??? Inside a fortress with walls any military builder would salivate over, which also bristled with all kinds of defenses meant to ward off intruders of many kinds, a radio transmission was received. (Where exactly was said fortress? Perhaps not even the denizens of the fortress themselves knew.) Whether at the time it had been sent, or just now after some delay, who knew? Time is relative, and all that.

A figure obfuscated by shadow sat behind a desk. The two people who stood underneath the green light of a flickering lantern swore they saw a grin flash from the figure for a brief moment, as the transmission came through.

"War is beginning? Hmph, they shouldn't be so eager to jump to conflict. Perhaps they would change their tune if they had been through even a part of what we have."

The person standing to the left in the pool of lantern light, a woman in red-pink armor◊ with her crimson red hair tied into a large ponytail, spoke up.

"True enough, Exarch. But... how do we intend to respond? Or, rather, do we intend to respond at all?"

'Exarch' rapped his desk thoughtfully before responding.

"Mmm. We could easily ignore this, Jill. Even if it then somehow came to them attacking this place, it would take quite the great effort and power to breach our defenses. However... what use is it to simply hole up here? We established this fortress so quickly as a matter of course, but we don't even know who or what may come to be our enemies. Thus, we need to know more. As well, we may as well make a show of force in the process. And for that, who better to send forth than you, the vaunted Crimson Tempest herself?"

Jill smiled briefly at Exarch's last sentence, before returning to her carefully composed demeanor and responding.

"An understandable decision. But if you're sending me into the thick of battle, then who am I to fight against? There were two sides speaking in that transmission."

"Both. And furthermore, anybody who attacks you is to be immediately considered enemies of both yourself and all of us."

A flicker of shock passed over Jill's expression as Exarch so boldly stated to consider both sides enemies, but it faded as quickly as it appeared. She nodded solemnly as Exarch spoke again to the man on her right, one in black armor◊ and holding onto a well-crafted bow as he listened to the conversation in sheer silence- though not disinterested, in fact the opposite.

"Don't think I've forgotten about you. Three Dash Thirteen. You and Jill together should be more than enough for whatever these people have to throw out."

"By your word, Exarch. Your faith in my abilities could not be better placed."

"Ah, and Jill. This will be your first time with those, hmm, 'modifications' Severus slapped on to old Arvez, yes? He said you should get a handle on them quickly. However, if you don't, or the enemies prove stronger than what you're capable of handling, Roland and Rolliam will be on standby alongside a couple of the Ebon Knight's men. Similarly 'enhanced' wyverns and all that. Now, go, and show the lot of them the might of Isore."

The duo departed with swift nods. The figure known as Exarch sat in silent for about a minute as they left, then frowned as a realization hit him.

"... Has the lantern above me been out this whole time? And why is that other one still green?!"

Skull Island Skies A lone wyvern cut through the skies with great speed away from the Isorian fortress. Immediately around the wyvern Arvez himself, it was tranquil and calm- the duo could hold normal conversation, and did.

"So... what kind of name is 'Three Dash Thirteen', anyway? Or is it more of a title?"

"Title. As for how it was earned? Three arrows. Thirteen Glian pegasi riders felled, mount and rider alike. All of them Grey Knights. There was also a time I held an entire flank by myself against a good deal of shapeshifters, but don't worry about that."

"Holy... that's a damn impressive feat, and you talk about it so casually? Well, I can be sure my back is thoroughly covered, then. And... what was that last bit?"

3-13 didn't respond to the question. The two of them lapsed into silence as Arvez descended from the clouds and they saw the situation around them. And... what a strange sight that was, indeed. As Jill took everything in with an eyebrow raised to the skies above, 3-13 tapped her shoulder and pointed toward Chihaya and the dragon.

"Hmph. Two versus one, though that one is quite big. Yet, big is probably not fast, from my experience... Let's make this fight a little more fair, shall we? Head toward the one that just got fired at, leave the one the big lizard is approaching to it."

"Why the hell are we helping the dragon?!"

But vocal complaint aside, Jill turned Arvez towards the jet that had been blasted at. And Arvez picked up speed- in fact, far more speed than anybody would expect of a creature such as a wyvern. And Jill readied her poleax, one modified for aerial combat. How exactly such an idea came to the mad minds of Severus and Anselm, nobody knew, but in practice... larger than normal, too large for non-mounted combat by far, and red energy emanated and solidified into a even more large, and certainly deadly, blade. Such a blade wielded atop a wyvern incoming at mach fuck? If the jet that was targeted didn't manage to evade, chances were high that it would quite simply be cleaved in twain. And if the blow were evaded or somehow was not enough, then 3-13 would follow up with two arrows fired with great accuracy towards the front and rear of the jet, said arrows tipped with deadly explosive payloads that would likely be a good deal damaging normally to an undamaged version of the jet, and would more than likely seal the deal if either the cleaving blow or the acid hit and were not sufficient to take the jet down.

Pray that you never make a miscalculation.

Dogfight over skull island

The Tormentor tries its tried and true defensive tactic of staying the hell out of the way of the laser, taking another series grazing shots from the canon, flying past their foe, tatsuya attempting to move the tormentor back into position to fire.

The other massive monkey hand that didn't just swat the Morgan comes hurtling down overhead at Chihaya, aiming to spike her, Harridan and all, into the ground.

"What the hell?!"

"It's a giant monster!"

"Like the lizard that ate a nuke?"

"I'm not waiting to find out!"

Chihaya distraction by the other dragon riders that showed up cost her dearly, so much so that she failed to see the other hand coming towards her until the very last second. "Oh-" She didn't have time to finish her sentence as she and her harridan went shooting towards the ground.

Suddenly, Chihaya started to transform into a fighter jet!

...No, this isn't an anime. They were both yeeted at the ground. The harridan exploded into blue energy upon impact, and Chihaya impacted some angled rocks causing her to go tumbling across the ground a fair 200meters.

This whole time, she was hearing a very different song than what was playing. The lyrics repeating through her head: "He's the leader of the bunch, you know him well. He's finally back, to kick some tail."

You'd attack surrendering folks? Huh... Now that's a tactic that you wouldn't see us using. Marco concludes that the enemy is probably fleeing and return to the ship, where Whitebeard contemplate Kong. Everyone else seems either horrified, surprised or really excited, Oden being one of them. Whitebeard has to grab him by the shoulder to stop him from waging Kong war!

Big monkey, big deal. Whitebeard ponders, and then smirk, pointing at Kong and staring back at the pilots. Gurararara! If you don't give me valid answers, I might just get you to see that ape up-close, you government lackeys!

Jill's attack failed to reach her target. For, wisely, the pilot of the jet in question had seen the incoming smackdown and gotten away from it with utmost speed. And in a stroke of fortune, so too did the trajectory of Jill's failed attack move her away from the path of the descending hand, though even so it still felt too close for comfort. The dragon and it's rider were not nearly so lucky. Both jets gone. Their potential ally, smacked into the ground with extreme prejudice. One duo atop a wyvern before a massive monkey.

Jill turned toward 3-13.

"Huh. How quickly the tables turn. But perhaps that is par for the course here. Should we try to rescue that girl...?"

The archer shook his head slowly.

"If she survived that, whatever we could do to help would likely be redundant, and assuredly leave us well within range of that thing. If she didn't, still the latter, and pointless besides. Anyways, discretion is the better part of valor. Let's regroup with the rest of the squad swiftly, then decide our next move."

Jill nodded at this, and turned Arvez away from King Kong and departed with speed hopefully enough to bring them out of reach of the big boy before he could deliver a second slapdown at them in particular, if he were so inclined.

Well, perhaps he wants to be eaten if he's not giving me what I want. Comments Whitebeard, in answer to the pilote that cracked. That's an useful information. You get to swim back to safety. Whitebeard grabs the first pilot by the head and fling him over his shoulder into the sea, without breaking eye contact with the second.

You grunts probably aren't too savvy about the inner projects, but I'll take what I can. That means in only a few seconds, you too can be swimming back to shore. Newgate smirks. You'll keep yourself company! Grahahahaha!

After coming to a rough stop after tumbling hundreds of meters, Chihaya, who was bloodied, battered, and bruised, sat up with a cough. Thankfully, she managed to only take that slap in a non-critcal area, so *she* was fine despite what happened to her harridan. She just wasn't expecting the one way ticket to rockville.

Suddenly, her cellphone started ringing. She flipped it open. It was her roommate. "What?"

"Nani atta nano?"

"Nano your ass. I just got smacked clear across an island." Obviously, she did not want to deal with this right now.

"That's rude nano. Miki demands onigiri as repayment nano."

"Another time. I need healing."

"Chihaya better not eat Miki's-" Chihaya ended the call.

Using the last of her summoning power, she conjured up a large serpent-like being with talons. She grabbed onto it's tail as it burrowed into the ground, taking her on an underground expressway out of the area.
