Alarm sirens blare in the brain. The cells' lights change from pink to yellow (purely coincidental), but they keep doing what they've been doing. A team of neutrophils enters, being cured as they move in.

However, they aren't there to apprehend the heroes.

The paper suddenly turns warped, 'glitchy' and distorted. Its message has changed, too.

And then the box widens and turns into a portal, and the physical embodiment of the Bad Girl's personality climbs out of it. She looks just like Bad Girl Rin,◊ but still just as smug and wicked as she was in mint condition. Lacking all memories and bonds, she is the personality's raw evil intent embodied.

She narrows her eyes with a grin, then suddenly bolts off past the group, heading for the city outside.

Seeing that Ruby and Nicole are having a rather personal talk, and with them being told where the bedding is, Ban decides to bring Nik, as well as his loot from the fight, to the bedding and stays out of their conversation.

Oca... reacts to Fu's choice of music.

"Fu, you're a true monster. I have half a mind to actually use my Time Patrol badge on you right now."

He squints when Bad Rin appears.

"Is that Edgy Rin? ... We finna see Inner Original Rin in here too?"

The most powerful Pokémon, Mawuh, is roaming about.

"MAWUUUUUUH"

The most powerful Pokémon he may be, could he perhaps meet his match when confronted by the embodiment of true evil?

Standing in the road ahead of Mawuh is none other than Gen I Kakuna.

Mawuh stops and stares at the ominous insectoid.

"MAWUUUUH?"

It raises its pistol.

"MAWUH!"

Gen I Kakuna raises its tiny pincers up into the air upon being threatened with a gun.

... wait, is it trying to say it desires no conflict?

"... I ran into Weiss a little while ago."

Miku makes a sour look, like she knows the meaning of that.

Ruby folds her arms and makes a pouty face. "That's all I'm saying. Either say your part or get out."

Mawuh seems surprised at this development.

"MWUH." - "If you wish to go on in peace, you must pay the toll. This is my territory."

Boyfriend doesn't know what the fuck is going on.

He looks to his sister for context.

Gen I Kakuna slightly tilts its body up and down for a moment. Perhaps this is its way of nodding?

It now starts to hop towards Mawu. Perhaps it's planning to pay said toll.

"MUWAHAHAHAH!"

Mawuh tries to pop a cap in Kakuna's ass. The incorrigible rapscallion!

Activating his Chaos Form, Pietro immediately dashes after Bad Girl Rin in the hopes of cutting her off. Should his ploy prove successful, he'll follow up by attempting to ensnare her with a pair of Chaos Chains.

   "Hey, Fu! I'm guessing the plan here is to just kick her ass?"   

Nicole fixes Ruby with a sympathetic look, then pats her on the shoulder.

"Oh... yeah, I can see why that'd take the cheeriness outta you. But I'll make damn sure she's freed from Gravitas soon, kid. Trust me on that."

She leans against the bar and grabs another bottle of mead.

"So, like I told Ban before coming here, me and Glali had a run-in with Narktus himself a while back. As much I wish he'd shown up for a fight, that's... not exactly what happened. He didn't even sic any of his flunkies on us."

She then proceeds to tell Ruby about the confrontation in question, as well as the conversation she and Nik had afterwards.

Locke is a bit too... distracted to notice the change in song right away. Seras and Walter do notice though and both look rather confused by Fu's choice of song.

When the alarms blare, Locke snaps back to attention, quickly drying his tears with his sleeve and looking as the neutrophils enter the room.

"E-excuse me?", he asks.

"Whoa, wait, the paper!", Seras notes, seeing it glitching in Pietro's hands. Walter and Locke look as well, and once Locke's seen the glitched message, his aura suddenly becomes a bit more suffocating, enough so to make Seras back off a bit. Locke looks furious.

"W-what the hell is the meaning of this message!? Which one is the real one!? I demand answers!", he growls.

"Calm down, why are you taking this so personally? This paper is glitching, so the real one is probably-agh!", Walter says, interrupting himself as he gets startled from the box beginning to change. He quickly drops it and backs off, bringing out his wires as the portal appears.

When Bad Girl Rin appears and bolts, Seras immediately leaps after her while Walter has the same idea as Pietro and throws his wires forward, attempting to ensnare Bad Girl Rin.

"You're not going anywhere!"

Locke doesn't react yet, taking deep breaths, his hand covering his face. It seems he's trying to calm down, which likely means his power may corrupt him if he doesn't do this.

"Do not let your emotions control you... do not let your emotions corrupt you..."

The bullet... bounces off of Gen I Kakuna's hardened shell.

Wait, since it had been waiting here, could it be... did it Harden up to its maximum defense ahead of time? Was it expecting conflict all along? If so, why would it behave so passively?

That question may receive an answer when Gen I Kakuna, once close enough, suddenly tries to shank Mawu with its pincers.

Peace was never an option. They were both planning on deceiving the other, and Mawu just was the first to drop the act.

Mawuh comically pulls in its gut, causing the pincers to just miss.

"MWAMWAMWAMWA"

It tries to hop up onto Kakuna's head, and then fire a series of bullets straight down into it.

Hopping onto its head proves rather successful, given that Gen I Kakuna is known to not be a fast dodger. It gets shot from above a few times and shudders. Ouch, despite its max Hardens, it isn't invulnerable.

However, Gen I Kakuna proceeds to activate its countermeasures by letting itself tip to the side and fall on the ground in an attempt to make Mawu fall as well.

Mawuh smacks into the ground and whines like a hurt puppy.

"MAWUWUWUWU!"

It calls Kakuna some VERY BAD WORDS, HOW RUDE. And then shoots it again, because of course.

Unfortunately Mawu is not a Ghost type, and as such curses won't cut into Gen I Kakuna's HP.

It is now capable of dodging the gunshots though as it gloriously rolls over the ground like a baguette rolling down a hill.

It attempts to ram into Mawu's legs to either knock him over or hit him in the shins and cause him unbearable irritation. Because Gen I Kakuna is a dick like that.

"... So that's why..."

Ruby falls silent.

Mawuh's legs crumple like paper mâché as Kakuna rolls through them. As they rupture, tho, its Ability activates!

Mawuh's Rum Power!

"BLAARG!"

A deluge of gaseous alcohol pours out and around the Pokémon, most likely causing Confusion in Kakuna.

Gen I Kakuna is hit by the gaseous alcohol as it rolls. It comes to a stop right behind Mawu and goes for a shank in the back.

BAM.

It hurt itself in its confusion!

Nicole blinks in surprise, having expected the news to lift Ruby's spirits at least a little.

"'That's why', what? Kid, if Narktus ain't thinking straight, we can use it to our advantage," she says. "We'll finally be able to make that tinpot motherfucker pay for all the crap he's pulled, bring Gravitas crashing down on his friggin' head, free everyone he's ever brainwashed! You'll have Weiss back, just like you've always wanted."

She pops open her bottle and takes a sip of mead.

Mawuh, although crippled, is not out of the fight! Because it has a gun. Also, because Kakuna's attack succeeded in reverse!

"MW"

Mawuh used Aura Sphere! It shoots it from its gun.

Aura Sphere is a Fighting type move, and thus not very effective against a Bug type like Gen I Kakuna.

However, it is also a special attack, meaning it hits Gen I Kakuna's unboosted special defense.

These factors cancel each other out when it comes to effective power, and after much, much contemplation, insinuation and damage calculation...

Gen I Kakuna falls on the ground after having been hit by Aura Sphere, having received some decent damage.

As soon as Bad Girl Rin makes a break for it, Yellow joins the chase, using quick flash steps to try and land a kick to the back of her knee and knock her down. Cyan joins in on the chase, though doesn't interfere just yet. In the meanwhile, though, Blue, having no ability to keep up with a chase, instead moves over to Locke, carefully laying a hand on his shoulder.

"H-Hey, wh... What's wrong?"
