She frowns when he catch her leg, and hope to do nothing for this round, opting to build up power instead.

A majin? Oh, those chewing-gum beings? She comments, awaiting the next phase of the fight. Well, you don't look... chewy.

Hydreigon gets struck by Volt Switch, but even though Red's Pikachu is strong, the move doesn't do much damage due to type effectiveness.

"Works for me. Nasty Plot!", Jessie commands.

Thinking dark thoughts, Hydreigon glows for a moment as it sharply raises its Special Attack, becoming even more powerful than it already was.

"Agh.", Cara groans. She seems to be about to do something, but then looks surprised when Lupin returns Kikio's staff anyway.

Gorochu also looks surprised for a moment, then turns its back to Lupin with a nasty sneer. Cara quickly gets off of her chair and gets to Gorochu, looking at Kikio and Lupin.

"I-I'm sorry, he's not good with most people. I hope he hasn't offended either of you.", she quickly says with an awkward smile.

GE!Oca

"True, true. It'd be like trying to eat sand.

Then his face turns into a gun barrel. laser time!

"Cheese!"

   *BWOOOOM*   

Red sweats. This is very much not what he wanted to see at the start of this fight.

"Parasect! Come on out!"

The little bug comes out, and does a little buggy jig.

"Para!"

"Spore!"

Parasect spews spores all over the big bad dragon dude.

You kiss your wife with that mouth-WOOPS! Sarah goes for broke and fire a mouth plasma blast, attempting to trigger the weirdest beam clash ever at a very short range. All the while, she start to try to break free!

"Fire Blast!", Jessie commands, and while the flames build up in Hydreigon's mouth, the spores then pass by it. It blinks for a moment, then becomes weary, and then proceeds to drop to the ground, snoozing.

"Ack! It fell asleep!"

"Jessie, yell at it, I'm sure it'll be loud enough to wake it up.", Meowth says with a slight smirk, earning him a glare from Jessie before she turns back to Hydreigon.

"Don't just lie there, Hydreigon! Wake up!"

"Before we get started, kid, I just have one question."

Nicole smirks, cracking her knuckles.

"You sure you can handle this much woman?"

Briefly surprised that he didn't have to venture further into the base's depths to find Pseudo, Loki greets him with a wave.

"For one thing, Thor and I managed to find Pilly a suitable sparring partner in the dragon woman, Nicole," he explains, walking down the stairs towards him. "When Botar asked if we wished to join them, well... had we refused, you and I wouldn't be having this discussion right now. You see, I was hoping to speak with you, but he mentioned something about a vicious dispute you two had."

Thor takes a seat beside Linda.

"Heh, it truly is wonderful to see you again! My apologies for not coming over sooner, by the way," he says. "I've been dealing with quite a few things recently, to say the least."

"My relationship with Ceres is informal due to our culture lacking a marriage equivalent!"

The beams clash, and don't move. Maybe Sarah's is stronger? Maybe Oca's is? Hard to say, since if they move even a little bit that's it for the face of the person they touch.

After a second, he lets her break free, only to morph his lower body into an array of blades and try to go 'haha slicey time' on her at close-range.

Red sniggers at Hydreigon's attack being cut short. Good thing, too, given that that would have invariably OHKOd poor Parasect.

"All right! Leech Seed it!"

Parasect throws seeds everywhere. Presumably, a few of them might land on the Hydreigon.

"Parapapa!"

"Didn't even notice him."

   "HE'S A GOOD BOY!"    Kikio practically cries, clutching the staff close.

Even Lady Sparkles looks briefly exasperated by the sheer chaotic energy radiating from the cleric.

He does cut her a little but she's quick to retreat, apparently unconfortable with such a close range competition.

Regardless of who win though, Sarah call down lightning and try to fry Oca while he's distracted, though she's fair enough to let the clouds howl above him beforehand!

They look at the carving and tilt their head.

"I'm sure. Are you sure you can handle this much girl?", Pilly replies with a smirk of her own, bringing out her metallic spider legs.

"Ah, the sparring partner subject was actually why I was headed up. I wanted to know if she found someone already and I wanted to watch the fight.", Pseudo says.

When it comes to the dispute, he goes silent for a few seconds.

"... well, it's something that has already been settled, so there is no need to talk about details anymore. Well, how about you join me in the room I am going to watch the fight in? We can speak during that."

"Considering how hectic this place is I'm surprised you have time at all.", Linda says, leaning back against her chair. "Especially with that Set running around."

She finishes her drink before continuing.

"Happy to see you too, big guy.", she smirks. "Anything eventful happen while we've been stuck in here?"

Leech Seed lands on Hydreigon, the vines spreading, but then it suddenly snaps awake. A first turn wake-up?

"Hey, it worked!", Jessie says.

"I don't think your yelling had much effect though.", James mutters.

"More dumb luck than anything."

"Dumb luck or not, Hydreigon is up again. Hydreigon, free yourself and use Fire Blast!"

The powerful dragon has little difficulty with snapping the vines and flying back up again. A few still hang onto it of course, as Leech Seed is still in effect even if Hydreigon isn't trapped on the ground.

It then immediately launches a Fire Blast at Parasect.

"A good boy?", Cara asks, looking surprised. "I, uh, don't usually hear people describe him like that."

She sighs in relief.

"But if he hasn't caused any trouble, then that's good."

Gorochu glances at Kikio for a moment before looking back at Lady Sparkles. It gives her a look, silently asking how she can keep up with her trainer's... 'energy output'.

Lady Sparkles replies with a weary-sounding "Pikaaaaa..."

That part is tough, but usually I don't have to. Mommy and I are part of a whole team, and normally the other members help balance out her energy. But we got separated from the others at some point when we came here.

GE!Oca

Given how spread out he is, the lightning has no trouble knocking him out of his current attack.

"Ach!"

After a second, he twists around and fires a series of orbs. Oh, wait, those are homing punch fists.

Parasect immediately keels over when its roasted and toasted by the Fire Blast. Eight-times damage will do that to a guy.

"Good work, Parasect!" "Ditto! Hit 'em hard!"

A blobby boi with a fashionable scarf materializes and waves, before Impostor activates and it transforms into a perfect replica of the opposition - yes, even its eyes look the same.

Ditto then roars and unleashes a storm of Draco Meteor on its opponent.

Sarah get jabbed by one and looks briefly amused at the methods of attacks before she start to fly away, leading the fists in a wild goose chase all across the globe. The Sister does not attack this round, instead seemingly testing the limit and length of the homing fists by trying to circle around the planet at high speed.

"What? How'd that Ditto transform that fast!?", James asks.

Jessie, meanwhile, is too taken by surprise to give a command.

"Um... um..."

Hydreigon, panicking, suddenly unleashes a Draco Meteor of its own upon Ditto. It won't be able to stick around for long enough to know if it hits or not though, as Ditto's Draco Meteor then proceeds to strike it.

Given that Ditto also copied the Nasty Plot boost, this poor dragon's out for the count.

"I've never seen someone actually use a Ditto to fight like that before.", Jessie mutters, having no choice but to accept that she did not expect something like this as she recalls Hydreigon.

"Well then, now it's my turn!", James says, throwing his ball.

And out comes a Haxorus

"The Axe Jaw Pokemon, Haxorus.", James reads off of the paper.

Regardless of whether or not Ditto gets hit and/or taken out by Draco Meteor, the Haxorus stands tall, ready for battle.

"..."

Gorochu looks away again, grumpy as ever.

"Gorooo.", it then subtly says, which Lady Sparkles would be able to loosely translate to 'I hope you find them soon'.

"Pika!"

Maybe we'll meet again!

Kikio notices Lupin doing some kind of Grinch-smile and decides to vacate before he tries to steal something else.    "Well, at least this went better than last time. Baby steps!"   

She takes Lady Sparkles into her arms and heads out.

GE!Oca

The fists sort of look like they're chasing her, but give up pretty quickly and flow back to be a normal hand. As Sarah is zooming around, Oca smashes back to ground level, blowing the water away from his landing point.

"Lock on!"

His arms morph into some sort of giga-lascannon, aimed at Sarah! But he doesn't fire yet.

Ditto actually manages to strafe away from the enemy's Draco Meteor, given the Choice Scarf boost and the move's imperfect accuracy in the first place. Definitely a close call, though.

   "Ditto–!"   

"Well. No choice but to use Draco Meteor again!"

Ditto uses Draco Meteor again.

Sarah raise in the sky and hold out her two hands, lightning converging from the tip of each finger to accumulate together and create an energy ball in front of her!

"Protect!", James commands, and a barrier appears around Haxorus, protecting it against Draco Meteor's power.

"Now use Superpower!"

Coating itself in a spiral of pure power, Haxorus, with shocking speed (even compared to Scarf Ditto, maybe that Hydreigon wasn't fully trained in speed and this Haxorus is), attempts to ram Ditto with an incredibly powerful, super-effective move.

Gorochu just raises its tail as a goodbye. Hey, at least that's better than nothing considering the rough start they had.

"We should probably get going too.", Cara says, quickly paying for her bottle of water, then taking it with her as she motions for Gorochu to head out with her, which it does.

Though not before doing this◊ to Lupin right before it and Cara head out of the pub.

Once outside, Cara's wristwatch, her Pokégear, buzzes and she quickly goes into an alleyway before pressing a button. Gorochu, meanwhile, stands guard near the alleyway.

"Hello?", she asks, looking serious.

"You lost sight of those three, didn't you?"

"I did. Did you find them?"

"That floating city. They're in a Pokemon battle."

"We'll head there now."

"Don't let them out of sight again. If they get hurt, everything we've worked for..."

"I know. Sorry. But you don't have to worry. I won't fail him."

She turns the device off and walks back out.

"Let's go.", she says to Gorochu, who nods, and the two are off.

Lupin can't help but eavesdrop. The conversation, however, as he could only hear Cara's side of it, leaves him completely befuddled.

"... Welp!" He swipes Cara's payment, and the wall explodes as Mr. Moneyfists comes roaring forth.

Fin

"Heh, sure as I've ever been, sweetheart. Nice comeback, by the way."

Nicole takes up a fighting stance.

"But I didn't come here so we could practice our smack talk. C'mon, kid, show me what you've got!"

"Mmmhmm... perhaps it's because you've been skulking about in the catacombs, but I suspect that this issue has yet to be truly resolved," Loki replies, looking skeptical. "Otherwise, Botar wouldn't have needed to warm me about your mood beforehand."

He drums his fingers against the railing.

"This dispute of yours, it wouldn't happen to have anything to do with Tahn's... lengthy incarceration here, would it?"

Thor smirks right back at Linda.

"For starters, there was a tournament that was ultimately cut short by an intruder, I met this goddess of good who revealed that she was the reason I had met a close friend of mine, and the Maximoff lad may have found us a new ally in our war with the Cabal," he says. "Oh, and I learned about a prophecy involving me and my brother Loki, though we haven't been able to figure out what the Hel it's supposed to mean. Other than that and our usual planning, I don't believe anything too eventful has transpired yet."

He leans back in his chair as well.

"So, how have you been faring, may I ask? I imagine your colleagues must have already heard about our little drinking contest."

GE!Oca

Oca raises the megagun and aims for Sarah...

Before pulling a classic gamer move and teleporting right under her just before the thing fires.

"B a z i n g a !"

   *fWOOOOOM*   

Ditto tanks the Superpower, albeit barely - Hydreigon is pretty bulky, after all. And of course, given its gimmick, this Ditto has been fully trained in HP.

   "Ditto-?"   

"Ouch... attack again!"

Not-Hydreigon fires one last Draco Meteor, still at unboosted but not negative strength. For some reason, Draco Meteor's power doesn't drop unless it hits it's target - that's the way it is!

Sarah does the exact same thing, teleporting to his old location right as he teleports to her old location.

SURPRISE B-.

The lasers both fire at nothing.

Sarah blinks.

She slowly, slowly, stand up straight and look at Oca, with a neutral expression.

Pilly grins, the spikes on her mechanical spider legs suddenly spinning as she leaps towards Nicole. It's not immediately clear what kind of attack she's going for.

Battle Machine

"I can ease your worries and assure you that I'm feeling slightly less terrible today. So my mood isn't something you need to worry about.", Pseudo says. He's being as blunt as he usually is, so he probably does feel a little better.

He then looks surprised.

"Tahn? No, he has nothing to do with the affair.", Pseudo admits. Considering his genuine surprise, this is likely the truth.

"Anyhow, let us go down and observe the fight."

Pseudo descends the stairs again, glancing back at Loki to see if he wants to follow. If Loki does, Pseudo will lead him to a room two halls further away from the room they met in last time.

There's a big monitor in this room, showing footage of multiple training rooms. Including the one Ninten◊ is meditating in.

"Let us see... that one.", Pseudo mutters, enlarging the screen showing Nicole's and Pilly's fight as it starts and shrinking the other screens more.

"In other words, a lot of interesting stuff. Gotta say, I'm a little jealous.", Linda says.

"Me? Doing fine, if bored. We've pretty much used most of our time to ship all of our gathered resources to our world, and now we're all waiting until you show us that place you mentioned we could set up a base in. We still need a few more resources, after all."

She then grins.

"And yeah, they definitely heard. Norm was feeling like being responsible and tried to chew me out for drinking irresponsibly, but, as usual, one serious look from me had him losing all of his courage. The kid thinks that I'd actually hurt him if I get annoyed.", she laughs.

Beat

"Just to make clear, I wouldn't. But he's not 100% sure about that, so it makes for an easy out if he's whining to me."

She puts her arms behind her back, looking laid-back.

"As for everyone else, the Pigmasks have been helping with keeping this place neat and tidy, and Lucas, Claus and Alex have been hanging out with the people who are actual members of this organization."

"Dodge!", James commands.

Haxorus, this time, dodges the attack with a skillful leap to the side, narrowly avoiding the closest meteor.

"You're bein' pretty competent right now, Jamesy!", Meowth says. James just smirks.

"Dragon Claw!"

Haxorus charges forth, attempting to slash at Ditto. Even with its own attacking power lowered as a result of Superpower, Ditto should be at low enough HP where, if Dragon Claw lands, it'll get taken out.

Meanwhile, in a nearby building, Cara peeks through the window and observes the fight. Gorochu is there too, but it's more interested in napping than watching.

How did they get there so fast, one would likely wonder if they had seen them both at the pub and now here, less than a minute later.

GE!Oca

Oca, his lazer still blaring off into space, responds in kind.

"..."

Well then.

He does the same thing again?? Maybe it'll work if he does it twice!

"That Haxorus is really good," Red 'says' as Ditto falls to the ground.

"Missing No.! Come out and set up Stealth Rocks!"

   "Beep!"

She seemingly came to a similar conclusion because she does the same thing. Again.
