Kaido trudges through the explosions. He seems abnormally tough, for sure, enough that he runs into the explosion when they go off near him.

Izawano and Zeloai both were prepared for the onslaught of force lightning, sending the pair flying back and into the outer wall of the bannered mare behind them. Zeloai struggled to stand back up, lightning crackling over his body.

Izawano lay unconscious, knocked out of the fight for now.

Still being immobilized, Palpatine gets hit by the Master Sword and screeches in pain, and additionally battered by Samaleel's blasts before Raeii's slam finally sends him flying.

Things quickly go From Bad to Worse for your boy Palpatine when Terra◊ shows up and slams into him like a meteor of light, dragging him through the city before pinning him against one of the walls at the edge.

"We have you now."

Palpatine smirks.    "Not... q-quite..."   

He unleashes a Force Scream to drive away Terra, landing on all fours.

Southern Skyrim -> Riften Gates

Aleifr frowns when Kaido just rams through his mines with seemingly no effect on his person, though he does continue leading him through The Rift until they reach the outer wall of the city.

"Well, we're here." Rather than going through the actual gates, he just walks over the wall, sticking to it until he's on the other side, before hopping down.

Samaleel spread a shadow hand to grab Ben's lightsaber and give it back to him.

   id glue it to your hand as a joke but im kinda pissed so    She leap into the action again and split into several Shadow Samaleel, who attempts to surround but not attack Palpatine. If destroyed, they explode into "bright" dark flashes that could blind him, and they are not immune to friendly fire, though they're not as agile as he is.

The real Samaleel hang back and try to get her clones to explode by throwing small black projectiles at them.

As he's wont to do, Kaido smash through the wall and the houses.

Riften - Black Briar Meadery

Aleifr continues leading Kaido towards the Black-Briar Meadery. He opens the door and sits down in front of the counter, kicking his feet up. "Bartender..." He calls, then looks back to his temporary companion to size him up. "Half a dozen bottles of mead!"

Relieved that Terra had arrived just in time to even the odds, Ben begins slowly but surely hauling himself to his feet. With his lightsaber now back in his grasp thanks to Samaleel, he ignites it before shifting his gaze to the unconscious Izawano.

"Did Palpatine or Laxin do something to him, or... has he always been tempted by the dark side?"

Figuring that it might be wiser to dwell on that later, he rushes back towards the fray, lunges at Sidious, and takes a swipe at the Sith Lord with his sapphire-blue blade.

Zeloai jumps to his student's side, placing a hand on Izawano's chest. The Jedi Knight was still alive, but barely. The Jedi Master channeled the force into his student, surrounding him with a force barrier and healing his wounds.

With that, the Jedi Master turned to Palpatine unleashing his force storm. He rose his double-bladed emerald saber to rush forward and attempt to slash into the immobile sith!

Vs. Cyber Safi

Augus tried to dash under Safi to get out of the pin, but really he only ended up bonking into the dragon's skull as it went to knock him over for the pin. The demigod decided to just push back harder, stepping back and attempting to batter the dragon away with a dashing shoulder charge!

This... probably wouldn't work too well, but it was worth a shot.

Nero made a few quick checks of things like his distance, the dragon's position, and how far Augus was probably going to fly if he got yeeted, and decided to GTFO, since he'd be caught in the blast if it went off. His wounds healed steadily with Devil Trigger active, and he decided to pepper the dragon's armor with summoned swords and bullets. It was at least decently reliable damage, though it was nothing all that special, admittedly.

Reyna's Residence

"Alright. I'm gonna make myself a drink and see if I can also go and grab some extra help. Be careful out there, yeah? Oh, and uh... I'm also gonna go find Varik. I've been meaning to talk to him and get to know him a bit better. "

Megan seemed a fair bit better now. The terror was still there, but it wasn't overwhelming her now. For the time being, she had found her strength again.

He then lower the bareel and pick up another, putting it at Aleifr's feet, before sitting down, looking mellower. Drink now. You weren't lying and deserve to party.

With Silver's help, Cyber Safi finds itself overwhelmed by Augus! He won't be able to fully topple it, but it ends up being pushed back by the demigod and reeling.

   "Like that!"    proclaims Shadow.

Schezo seizes the moment.

Schezo's Puyo stack is ready.

   "Prepare your anus!"

Puyos start popping.

   "Hah!"

   "Thunderstorm!"    Pointing his sword at Safi'jiiva, a barrage of lightning erupts from its edge.

   "Sting Shade!"    Flipping his sword into a reverse grip, Schezo does a slash that leaves a corrosive poison.

   "Areiado!"    Sweeping his sword upwards, Schezo sends cracks through space itself towards Safi'jiiva, which spread in its direction before glowing with dark energy and erupting!

   "Shadow Edge!"    Drawing his sword back, Schezo gathers dark power before thrusting forward to launch a spray of energy bolts!

   "AREIADO SPECIAL!"    Finally, holding it out in front of himself, Schezo gathers dark energy into the very tip of his blade and shatters the space in front of him to create a blinding explosion of power!

   "AREIADO SPECIAL!"    Then he does it again!

   "AREIADO SPECIAL!"    And again.

   "AREIADO SPECIAL!"    And again.

"I think the situation is being handled quite well on its own."

He's finally done. Even with Ex actively patching the holes, reality itself is left trembling and distorted under the sheer pressure of Schezo's literal ultspam.

Mega Man sums it up accurately. "... Whoa."

Reyna gives Megan a thumbs-up and heads out.

Palpatine projects his dark Force aura again, and intensifies it so greatly that none of the strikes on him land, either fizzling out if they're projectiles/exploding or being repelled back if they're melee.

   "I have learned from the witch, Maleficent. A technique to sever heart from body and take on a host. A technique I shall use... on you!"   

And then he stabs himself with his lightsaber. Instead of keeling over and dying, however, he is engulfed in darkness. Yet, this does not seem to be what he intended.

   "Wh-what... no...gaaaaaaaah"    He vanishes beneath his cloak.

All goes still.

Beat

Terra walks past the cloak and towards the others. "Are you alr-"

Suddenly, an overwhelming dark and evil presence surges forth. It feels like Sidious, and yet at the same time... not. Incomplete. Partial, yet no less powerful.

"Why can't people stay dead?!" bemoans Warrick.

Then, Palpatine's aura emerges, and Samaleel frowns, serious for once. She hold her fingers out and a dark stream attempts to engulf the nearby fighters. It pass over them, and she yank it out, somehow yanking their wounds out.

Riften - Black Briar Meadery -> The Ratway

Aleifr's brain freezes for a split second - while he's a thief too, he makes a point of paying the people who's working for him. "You know what, I might not be a full-time pirate, but me neither." He declares, while slipping the bartender some coin while Kaido isn't looking.

He then picks up the barrel, which for him is not only positively huge but looks like he shouldn't be able to drink from it without spilling mead all over himself, and yet he does it with grace. "Not much of a party if it's just the two of us, though."

He looks around for a moment, then remembers a place he's been to before. He goes outside briefly, not exactly ushering Kaido to follow, though he could if he wanted to - at least for a moment. The instant he's not within Kaido's line of sight, Aleifr clips through the ground and into the Ratway.

Readying himself for whatever Sidious' new technique might be, Ben flourishes his lightsaber... only the Sith Lord to vanish shortly after impaling himself with his own lightsaber. Relieved that the battle was seemingly over, he turns to Terra before sensing an overwhelming disturbance in the Force.

"Oh, I have a bad feeling about this!"

After he's healed up by Samaleel, he very briefly wonders if she might have any sort of connection to a certain demoness who had partaken in the attack on Laxin's dreadnaught before pushing that thought to the side. He had far more important things to worry about right now.

Zeloai is thrust backward by the raw power of the dark aura, but he doesn't stay down for long. He leaps back up into the air, landing next to Palpatine, only for the dark lord to immediately collapse into his own robes.

"I..wha-"

Then the presence hits him, the swelling darkness confusing the Jedi Master. He was cautious, however, stepping backward hastily.

   "Most Impressive, Savik."   

Laxin◊ was stood next to Darth Savik◊, the woman's gaze fixed on an Assault vehicle◊ in front of her.

   "I'm impressed by the progress we've made, with your allocation of resources it's been easier than expected."   

Laxin gave the woman a brief glance,

   "Can we begin deployi-"   

An immense dark power caught the Emperor's attention, turning his head toward Lourent. The intense energy had Laxin taken aback for a moment, his attention swallowed by it. Darth Savik felt it too,

   "What is that?"   

   "I've no idea, but it may be just the perfect field test."   

Savik chuckled,

   "Fine by me, Emperor."   

A mechanical claw emerges from the right sleeve of Sidious' robe, then grows in size until it rips out of it and its fingers turn into lightsabers.

"He's become... a Heartless!"

"A what?" asks Raeii.

"A what?" asks Warrick.

Link gets the idea and braces himself.

The left arm is next to manifest, being much more slender and still organic, but covered in disgusting veins that pump some blackish fluid in place of blood.

This... thing rises into the air, having no lower body at all - just a mass of dark fog. Bursting from the robe, a body forms, muscular as if to spite Sidious' physical frailty, and bearing a symbol on each pec - one the symbol of the Galactic Empire, the other the Heartless Emblem◊.

Finally, the head sprouts forth. It looks like an enlarged version of Palpatine, but aged by 50 years, then morphed into something totally inhuman-looking, with nightmarish fangs and hollow, glowing yellow eyes.

   "I AM THE ALPHA, I WILL BE THE OMEGA, I AM ALL OF THE SITH!"    screams this... this thing!

Vs. The Imperial Hate - Duel of the Fates/Battle of the Heroes Mix

Link, completely unfazed, rushes the Imperial Hate with a leaping sword slash.

Warrick unleashes a wrist-mounted flamethrower.

Raeii rushes the Imperial Hate and does a wide sweeping slash with both his sabers.

Finally, Terra transforms his Keyblade into its whip mode and does a flurry of lashes at the Imperial Hate!

   ok not bad    She immediately blast away with her two hands, unleashing two thin beams of darkness right at the Imperial Hate!

Zeloai, while not knowing what a heartless is, understands what it entails by beholding Sidious's transformation. He lowered his emerald double saber, releasing a concentrated blast of force energy toward the Imperial Hate!

"Must everything be so difficult?"

Riften - The Ragged Flagon

Aleifr slows down upon seeing Jolyne. "Huh, you're that gal from before aren't you? Surprised to see you're hanging out here of all places. I have a guy who's looking for more people to drink with." Before Jolyne can answer, Aleifr realizes he left Kaido behind. "I guess I should call that big oaf down here." He pops a quick smoke bomb, and he's gone again.

Riften

Aleifr reappears out of nowhere from Kaido's perspective. "Hey, found someone to join us. Come with me." He carries both barrels of mead with him as go down to the canals and enter the normal way.

Ben takes several steps back as Sidious transforms into what could only be described as an abomination, clearly scared out of his wits. That is, until he remembers that Terra - the man powerful enough to match Laxin in a duel and who also knew how these Heartless operated - was still here. As his fear slowly gives way to defiance, he stares down the Imperial Hate, his face illuminated by the sky-blue glow of his lightsaber.

"You'll fall before all of the Jedi!"

Lunging at the Imperial Hate, he unleashes a flurry of slashes at the Sith-turned-Heartless.

Kaido walk through the fucking wall.

You would party as three? He asks, looking at Jolyne. Bah! I will simply drink and let the alcohol do the rest, as usual. He drink a whole barrel at once.

The Imperial Hate seems most affected by two things: the Master Sword and Terra's Keyblade. The other stuff still damages it, but those cause a reaction, namely recoiling before it swipes at its melee attackers with its lightsaber-claw. Then its organic hand reaches out and unleashes a torrent of Force lightning towards Zeloai, Warrick and Samaleel.

Link deflects the claw swipe with another Daruk's Protection, and he draws his sword back, charging a spin slash.

Warrick manages to evade the lightning this time, and he immediately fires both wrist rockets at the Imperial Hate, not willing to spend any longer looking at it than he has to.

Raeii gets swatted like a fly.

Terra has the misfortune of being within reach of both the Heartless's attacks, and although he manages to block the claw, he then gets bzonked by the lightning. He quickly responds with a Firaga fire blast.

"Wh-wai-"

The defense systems in the Ragged Flagon activate and start combing the area, tracking Aleifr through the wall.

And when Kaido walks in through the wall, he's greeted by a barrage of supertech artillery.

Kaido get shot up but the artillery, while it get a reaction out of him, appears to push him out of the room, instead of piercing his skin or blowing him up. He's still blasted out of the room at the very least.

He growls in answer and get up though. That wasn't a bad shot at all! Compliments Kaido, cracking his neck. Hic! But it won't kill me so soon.... NOTHING EVER DOES! He yells, screaming so loudly that it take physical form, warping the air around him in a purple-ish color as an intense shockwave spread out of the building and through a good chunk of the city. Anyone caught by the shockwave, unless they have willpower notable enough, will end up foaming at the mouth before collapsing.

The air grows thick, the clouds are disturbed, the ground quakes... It's like his sheer dominance is affecting all things, living or not! Luckily, Kaido doesn't attack and just sit down, shaking his head and cutting himself off mid-scream. He's sobbing, of all things, in a manly manner. Nothing ever does....

   oof    Samaleel "screams" as she's blasted away by the lightning into a nearby building. She apparently get two broken limbs (left arm and leg) and her neck's split open, showering her surroundings in blood.

She does get up on her good leg.    shit    Out of her pool of blood, dark spikes hatches forth and attempts to impale the Heartless all over!

The Jedi Master cast his saberstaff to the side, raising both of his hands to create a force barrier around himself, barely managing to protect himself against the lightning. He slid backward, forced back by the intense impact of the heartless's attack.

The lightsaber claw connects, slashing Ben across the face and leaving him with a noticeable scar as he hits the ground. Snarling in pain, he throws his lightsaber at the Imperial Hate before calling it back to his hand, regardless of whether or not his attack connects.
