The Beast does not taste like chocolate. It tastes of death.

It attempts to engulf the insect ladies in its mass and crush them into perfect cubes. By this point, the world around the Beast has begun to get noticeably less colorful, as it has begun to weave the spell that will usher in a thousand years of darkness. If the Wendy's employee fails to subdue it before the spell is complete, he risks being fired. Out of a cannon.

However at the last moment....

FOR CHEEERRRRNNNOOOOOBYYYYLLLLLLLL The skinny mutant run in with a paddle the size of him and W H A C K

wendys employee tried to find a weak point

he did not, but decides to try stabbing into the beast several times with the paddle

"Im not gonna be late for work!"

Gregoria, the leader of the bugs, could release herself from the clutches of the beast, but her friends yet not. She remembered the paddle weakness, and asked to the employee:

   Do you have reserve paddles? With 8 will be OK.   

The Beast roars and howls as its power over the spell is disrupted, and it gets beaten into a quivering mound, before light returns to the land and chocolate - genuine chocolate - falls like rain.

Gregoria, with a paddle in each leg, ran to the remains of rhe beast.

   Are you OK, girls? I'm sorry that we couldn't do much.   

   It's fine, we had worst situations.   

   Mmmmm... death.   

I say this was quite wholesome Chungus!

The fat mutant groans demonically as he lick up the chocolate rain.

Vague Hub Centralis

A purple-clad lad◊ comes up to the man. "Hey."

Vs. Cybersafi

Ah man... that worked so well in the games...

Nero tumbled backwards and backflipped into a sliding landing, using Red Queen to halt his momentum while simultaneously revving up for MAX-Exceed. He looked over and noticed Silver already getting some help, so he decided to focus on the dragon some more. The open gash on the tail seemed like a good spot to aim, so he went for it as directly as possible, dodging underneath a limb with a slide on the way, before popping up into a spinning diagonal strike!

Castle Schrade

Megan's pupils shrank into tiny, dark circles as her body instantly flooded with a kind of limb-gripping fear that she did not have a name for. This was not the largest, nor the most physically intimidating dragon she had faced down, and its scales were black like scorched stone, not red like drying blood. The beast's eyes seemed to not just see through her but actively seemed to be dragging out her soul, drawing on her darkest, most deep-seated terrors.

With whatever strength she could muster, Megan remained facing the beast, and slowly took a step back, trying to analytically take in every detail of the beast's form. What was here that the stories had not spoken of? And what was here that had been mentioned?

Little town in Reprium (Flashback)

Ruben and me traveled a long track, until we have arrived to his town: a town trapped by poverty and crime. An old man talked to us:

Oh, newcomers! Our town is in need of a hero! We can't afford it more...

Since that moment, I helped the townspeople with my powers. The town grew up and became prosperous. The people was so proud with me, that the town changed its name to Warrenton, the current name. Also, Ruben, my protected, married with a girl of the town... she has psychic powers.

A house in Hub Centralis

After a crazy night, with a heavy stomachache caused by eating a book titled "How to Make Chocolate and Tires", Gregoria awake from her slumber. Looked at her munched book, and thought: Not again...

A purple-clad lad approaches the person, whose eyes have half shut while he was leaning against a wall, basking in the sunlight. Had it always been sunny, had there always been a wall there? Such a question had no answer, and likely, even less importance. At the moment, there was a wall and there was sun there.

But upon hearing the purple's voice, his blue eyes open; and to their greeting he responds with a rather equally concise-

"Ah, hello there"

He does not turn to look at the interlocutor, nor does he open his eyes. He simply gives a small wave in their general direction.

"Name's Tee. You new here?"

"Indeed, I suppose you could say that."

Finally moving from his relaxed posture, the man stands up straight, offering a handshake to Tee. He does still seem relaxed, perhaps too much so given the place he's in is completely alien and unfamiliar to him. And, to finish answering to his interlocutor, he opens his mouth, and-

A name. A name is an essential indicator of a person's being, a proof of existence unlike any other that by itself carries with it the entire identity of whoever it refers to. He, too has a name. He must have. Every thing in the universe has a name, so he too, as part of it, has a name. And his name is, indeed, what is his name?

"...Arthur. That's my name."

Tee shakes Arthur's hand.

"I'm Captain of the SS Tetra, here on a quick stop in my voyage through the cosmos. I've been around the block a few times, though, so..."

He rubs his index finger under his nose, then stretches. "If you want me to show you around, I can spare an hour or so!"

Silver gets brutally knocked down, but before the rest of Cyber Safi'jiiva's combo can begin, Sonic's speed allows him to get Silver out of range of its jaws.

"Thanks, Sonic.", he says, wincing a little as he gets back on his feet.

Knuckles, meanwhile, sees the damage to the tail and, either wanting to put his toughness to use or not immediately realizing he'll get shocked if this attack works, tries to jump on the end of Cyber Safi'jiiva's tail and deliver a powerful, burning punch into the wounded area of the tail.

Cyber Safi reels as its tail is nearly - but not quite - severed.

"Do it!" commands Eggman. "Unleash the Imperial Sapphire!"

"The what!?"

   "Another gemstone of power!?"   

Of course, Eggman calling it this is basically just to freak out Sonic and friends and give them less time to respond. Cyber Safi'jiiva hunkers down and leaps up into the air, then spews blue fire straight down into the ground. Heat and power spread over the terrain, bathing the combatants in its ethereal light.

"Something's definitely coming!" Zenkichi notices a crag sticking out of the ground and fires a grappling hook, pulling himself to it, where he hunkers down behind it for safety. Only one or two other people can hide behind that crag, but there are more a bit further away - and Knuckles would probably be able to make a safe trench by digging, if need be.

Fatalis roars at Megan and lunges to bite!

"SS Tetra... Cannot say I'm familiar"

Arthur shakes his head, as if to reinforce what he just said. He then looks around and shrugs.

"Nah, I'll be fine. But, y'know, tell me about yourself. Just to pass the time."

As the flames spreads around the group, Silver tries to catch some of them with his psychic shields, but actually feels a burning sensation when he can't so do.

"It didn't work? ... this is bad..."

Knuckles, having more than enough knowledge and experience of and with various gemstones (even if he doesn't know this 'Imperial Sapphire'), allows him to be the one to remain calm. He indeed starts rapidly digging a trench for everyone to hide in.

"Well, my story begins a few years back, when I defeated the Tetris King, Ex, and assumed his throne. He would go on to become the Keeper of Dimensions, while I got his ship and crew. I keep an eye out for any interdimensional anomalies, and if I have to..." He holds up his chakram.

"I'll use my magic to fix them personally."

she almost seemed skeptical of the story, sure it lined up but one crucial detail seemed to stick out to her

"I dont mean to deny what happpened but if the religon came from acts of generosity why are you trying to profit off of it?"

her tone was skeptical as well

"Back where im from the churches are free"

He does at least appear to listen intently enough. To be fair, from his expression, he does seem to not fully believe the story- he raises an eyebrow at the mention of a Tetris King, as though that notion is the one he finds most difficult to believe. Instead of, for instance, the fact he suddenly wound up in a place he's never been to and such. Then again, by how he reacted to that, he does not seem to be too unused to that. Still, his interest seems to be piqued by the mention of what the man's mission is.

"Fixing anomalies, huh? How? By beating the crap out of them with those weapons of yours?"

He remarks, not without a good dose of snark.

"More-or-less. Enough power can mess with reality. Like so."

He unleashes a Kamehame Hadoken past Arthur, which explodes and leaves a shimmering crack in the air. Then, he holds up his chakram with both hands, and a swarm of T Tetriminoes fly forth to seal that crack, then disperse into light.

"Most anomalies I've encountered take the form of rifts like that one. And as you can see, I have no trouble patching those holes."

"Is that so."

Somehow, the young man seems distraught. As if what he just saw is rather troubling to him, one might even say? And yet he also chuckles to himself- as if saying 'look here, even this kind of thing can exist, huh?'- and then, back to Tess, he turns to say:

"Well, that's really nice an' all, but I gotta go. See ya around!"

And then, with a wave of his hands, he disappears.
Well, that's not quite right. More than disappearing, it seems as if his body has been swallowed whole by a purple wind. And when the wind sets, Arthur is no longer anywhere to be seen. And yet, something might strike Tess as odd, if he can indeed feel it.
That which moved Arthur, it was not his own power, not originally at least. While it certainly exists in this world, this power and Arthur do not share the same origin. And when that power and Arthur touched, a small rift- smaller than the tip of a needle- opened for an instant.

Whether or not it is the same rift that Tess has seen and patched so many times, it likely went by too quickly to say. But it was certainly 'there'.

The chapel

Well, that was not my objective... originally. The people gave us gifts or money after we helped them... but Esther, the wife of Ruben, saw it as a chance of business. It was her idea to found the church. And her powers are bigger than mine. We cannot argue with her, or else...

In this moment, a big noise, like a couple arguing, was heard, then a rumble, and then an axe went flying to the ground of the hall.

Vs. Cyber Safi

"Imperial what?"

Nero didn't need a second warning, with the ethereal light and heat washing over him. He dashed over to the nearest crag, and reloaded Blue Rose while making a few more shots from behind cover while he had a moment.

Castle Schrade

Megan's body moved without her conscious input. She fired off a shot at Fatalis's mouth as she tried to jump backwards, but the barrel of her gun got caught in the vicelike grip of the black dragon. She let go of it as if the entire gun were glowing red-hot with heat, her speed driven more by abject terror than any sort of actual pain.
