HIMBO BITCH! She gets nigh-wasted by the Chaos Dunk, being hit so hard that she almost flickers in and out of Super Saiyan.

She gets on all four and yell before hurling a blast from her mouth, similar to the Vice-Shout, right at Shaq. Regardless of what happens, she has to tag out, and Goku take her place!

Hey Shaq! Goku tries to hit Shaq with a spinning kick attack for five times, with the last hit sending him flying backwards if it lands. Goku then vanish and appear behind Shaq to try to hit him with a strong kick, sending him flying again. He then uses his level 1, blasting at Shaq with a powerful Kamehameha in mid-air!

Goku then gun for Shaq, raising his fist in preparation for a punch!

"Odin's beard... I shudder to imagine what would happen if they didn't exercise such restraint. Or worse, what this power could be used for in the hands of someone like Set or Thanos..."

Thor accepts the offered mochi and takes a bite.

"Mmm... Now, admittedly, I'm not familiar with blood magic. Does it involve using the wielder's blood or the blood of whoever's on the receiving end?"

"You don't need to. We saw a few alternate timelines and worlds where they didn't. It... didn't turn out pretty." Rie replies. "I'm just thankful it shocked them into being more careful about this sort of thing, if they weren't already."

"Either, depending on what you're trying to do. Though 'blood' magic is actually a bit too narrow of a name. At its foundation, it's more broadly the use of life force as fuel, whether it's your own or someone else's. Willing or not, as well. That's where the 'blood' part comes from - sacrifices, and that the kind of person who'd do that would also use it for nefarious purposes. It's also both a convenient conduit and barometer for how much you're using. There are a few spells that specifically target someone's blood, though. It's a pretty fuzzy category."

Shaq is knocked back and combo'd into Goku's spinning kick, but he manages to recover past the vanish kick and block the Kamehameha.

He meets Goku's punch with an Inferno Kick!

Tanjiro looks over at Varik and Megan. "O-oh no! Everyone! We mustn't lose composure! We have to... overcome our fear!" he yells as he narrowly dives out of the way of the crush. His tone of voice, though, makes it evident that his own confidence is slipping.

Reyna, however, remains unfazed as always. "Nah."

"... No?"

Reyna runs up to the prow of the Brinehammer, where a switch sits, and wait when did that Dragonator get there

SHUNK

With a heave of the lever, a giant drill-harpoon-thing extends forward and pierces into the side of Dire Miralis, sending the Smelting Black Dragon reeling.

"We just need more firepower."

For good measure, Reyna loads an SOS Flare into her Slinger and fires it into the sky.

Shaq's kick is a match for Goku's punch and both fighters are sent sliding backwards! Goku immediately begin charging up ki, to try to fill his meter!

Vegeta!

Vegeta appears and cover for Goku by shooting a whole bunch of ki blasts, intending to fend off Shaq for now!

HHHHRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYAAAARRRRGGHHHHHHH! Goku starts to power-up!

"Well... that's an effective deterrent if there ever was one. Personally, I've never encountered an evil version of myself before, and I certainly don't intend to."

Thor wolfs down some more of his mochi.

"So it's not the kind of magic that one should use liberally. You use it to heal others, yes?"

"Really? That's kind of surprising. Then again, there's always time."

"Well, not unless you want to be a cackling mad overlord."

"I think you just described the chiefs anyway."

"I've only tapped into it a couple of times, and even then only in small amounts, like if I need to revive two people at once." Thor may recall the Noodle Incident Martin mentioned offhandedly earlier. "Normal healing magic usually does the trick, especially when it's not artificially dampened."

Thor taps his fingers against Stormbringer.

"I assume you're referring to the occasion that Martin spoke of earlier?"

"Ah yes, that time when they finally succeeded in tearing our archipelago off from the rest of the world into our own separate plane, like cutting a slice off a pie. And to continue the metaphor, crumbs tend to break off in the process."

"Life force doesn't just have to come from other people. It can also come from plants, animals, the ambient lifestream of the land itself... We thought we could direct the damage entirely to the old world, let them handle the consequences for all the misery they've caused us. We miscalculated, and we're still rebuilding. That's what we're in this tournament for - to speed up that process."

"I'm sorry, you turned an entire piece of land into your vessel? I can only imagine how much planning and preparation went into such a ritual," Thor replies. "Well, may winning this tournament allow you to finish completely rebuilding."

"It's amazing what a thousand mages working together can do. Someone had to be the main channeler, though, so they also took the brunt of the backlash."

"Eh, if this entire thing doesn't turn out to be a scam. At least it's been fun."

"Should this 'ultimate power' turn out to have been falsely advertised, well... I can't imagine many people will be amused with whoever organized this tournament," Thor replies. "Perhaps that's why Set couldn't be bothered to dispatch any of his cronies to try and win it."

He tosses Mjolnir into the air and catches it.

"So, a thousand mages working in tandem? That sounds like quite a sight to behold."

"Don't think they're all as good as my brother. Otherwise you're setting yourself up for disappointment." Rie replies with a cocky grin. "I do have a question for you. What can you tell us about Narktus?"

Vs. Dire Miralis

Megan focused, using the resounding noise of the Dragonator as an anchor. The sound was like a clarion bell to her mind, cutting through the haze of memories and panicked voices. Her resolve transmuted from its fractured parts to a single point of burning light.

"You aren't the only one with a bite to their roar! [Shining Dragon Flame]!"

A burst of crimson ki-light shot forth from the machine-beast's maw as it roared at the Dire Miralis, traveling like a more concentrated form of a Deviljho's dragon breath!

An unfamiliar voice called out to the others down below, partially in their minds.

   "   SCRIVSEC's got your back, Hunters! Reinforcements inbound!   "   

Sofia then promptly slid down the hell, gaining a red glow from Affinity Sliding as she did so. She did not seem to possess a kinsect at all, which Reyna would doubtlessly find strange, but a second copy of her insect glaive appeared in her off-hand — in much the same way as it had when she had fought the Jyuratodus prior. Once she judged the distance to be sufficient, she left forward, and made spinning, double-glaive falling strike! Her main glaive shimmered with psychic energy as she did so...

"Narktus? Well, he's an incredibly powerful tyrant who leads an organization known as Gravitas. Among his underlings are the usual monsters and arseholes, and... good people that have been brainwashed into serving him," Thor explains. "He's as ruthless as they come, but he has proven that he's willing to ally against greater threats."

"Well, we got about as much from the guards the chief questioned. Even they don't know what makes him tick, and Snake didn't bother to tell us much. I don't suppose you do, or one of your friends, maybe?"

"If you mean what he can do in battle, his weapon grants him certain abilities, depending on what form it takes. Not only that, but he's strong enough to apparently fight Set, the god of evil, to a standstill," Thor replies. "Though as someone who knows how powerful Set is, I suspect that he must have been holding back and toying with him throughout their duel."

He sets his hammer down beside him.

"Though if you're referring to his exact plans, I would suggest speaking with the woman from my team, Nicole. She has quite a personal vendetta against Narktus."

   "Soul sensing? Sure, why not."    Blixer shrugged.    "Go ahead then, 'Rat God' - tell me about your tricks."   

Vegeta's assist was unnecessary, for Shaq does the same thing - hanging back and doing a little shuffle with his feet to build up meter.

"So, obviously you know how to spread your energy, at least to some degree." Rat God gestures to the shard Blixer gave her.

"So... close your eyes and spread it thinly - like, really thin - into the air around you, then pull it all back. It's like echolocation. Try using it here, see if you can feel me."

If Blixer is even capable of doing what she suggested, he'll find it works exactly as advertised - and that Rat God is almost exactly equal to him in power level, not noticeably weaker or stronger in any one direction.

   "Well, here goes nothing..."   

Blixer, still leaning back, pocketed the shards and crossed his arms again before closing his eyes and focusing for just a moment.

   "Yeah... Yeah, I dunno if what you said made any sense, but whatever I'm doing right now is sure as fuck working. You're showing up like a damn flare."    He mused, before opening his eyes again.    "So that's that? Just... Go beat up a rat? Not that I'm complaining, but I'm gonna go ahead and guess there's a catch, right? You're about as strong as me, and those two cheating assholes needed two-thirds of the Tree of Life to take me down, so there's gotta be something special about this rat, yeah?"   

AHHHHHH! Goku finishes building up power and rush ahead, putting his two fingers on his forehead and even starting to blur, as if teleporting. However, he's actually faking the move: He keep running and attack from the front, attempting to pummel Shaq up close with a series of powerful punches and kicks before trying to kick him upwards!

If the latter part work, then Goku flies after him and try to keep Shaq in the air with three punches and three kicks, before rushing forward and trying to give him a strong punch to hurl him downward!

Should that work, Goku keep himself up in the air and put his hands forward before cupping them together near his waist!

KA! ME! HA! ME!

Final Destination

Shermie steps up to the plate, stretching out and lightly laughing.

Shermie: "Let's make this a good one!"

Yashiro and Chris stand at the sidelines.

Shaq is caught in the combo, but he calls in Sephiroth for an assist - using Scintilla again.

And if the Kamehameha hits Scintilla, at Goku's current level of strength, Sephiroth will have no trouble absorbing its force, even if he's out of reach of the retaliation (it is pretty close-ranged).

If all this works, Shaq will capitalize on Goku's opening to nail him in the head with a jumping kick, then land on the ground and sweep him off his feet with a low kick, toss a basketball up mid-combo, and finally launch Goku away with another Inferno Kick!

"Well, the little rat didn't exactly beat me fair and square, either." Rat God flashes a mischievous smile.

"He's accompanied by a heart... er, cat... with the power to turn back time when the rat dies. But don't worry! If you can use the trick I just taught you to keep him on your 'radar', you'll be conscious of the rewinds and able to respond accordingly."

Blixer shrugged.    "So he doesn't die, big deal - light blue asshole is fucking immortal, so I'm sort of used to that, and if I can remember his rewinds, well, it'll be business as usual, except this time, I don't get beaten by some bullshit ass-pull powerup. Anything else I should know?"   

Goku fire it all right... but he actually pull off his Instant Transmission move to appear behind them entirely!

OVER HERE! AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! He yells, unleashing forth his Kamehameha! And then-

VEGETA! He jump out mid-blast and Vegeta pop in, burning his ki to instantly charge a mighty Final Flash!

ARE YOU BRAVE ENOUGH TO TAKE THIS ONE?!!! Vegeta roars and fire his level 3 Final Flash, aiming to engulf Sephiroth and Shaq beneath planet-destroying power... well not quite but ya know. The beam's so huge, it triggers a large explosion, way past the battlefield itself too.

Vegeta land amongst the smoke, looking cocky. Goku himself give the others a thumb-up!
