Well that's certainly not an appropriate response.

Omelette glances at the door, not really trying to see what's behind it but rather just distracted by it being ajar.

Seeing this, Beet, still upside down, prepare a Dodon-Ray, again!

It's not opened enough for that to show her what's behind it, so Hub doesn't do anything but continue walking. ... wait, would he even know if they looked inside a door if he's walking in front of them?

... may be best not to take risks based on that question.

For a brief moment, Omelette may see a shadow shift underneath the slightly open door. But nothing emerges from it, luckily.

As they keep walking, they now come across a door that's more open.

"Wait, really?"

Laka keeps charging.

"Well, it beat my Super Vanishing Ball, so I wouldn't be too surprised... that being said..."

Vivace preemptively grabs Omelette's hand as they approach the door to ensure she doesn't do any reckless kid stuff. Omelette responds by yanking her hand away and dutifully passing by without peeking.

"I lead my own organization here, you know. Wouldn't be easy if I was as scatterbrained as you seem to think I am."

"Very good."

About ten seconds of further walking later, Hub suddenly stops, turning to the left and opening the door, after which he stands back, motioning for them to step into the room.

If they do, they'll be able to see a miniature (though not well-lit) laboratory, with a good number of tables and equipment sprawled across the room, metal plates and other resources needed to make robots scattered all around, and a big multi-screen in the far back of the room.

At one of those very tables, Snively is standing, wearing a pair of goggles and working on a robot arm. It seems like he doesn't know they're there yet.

"Is that him?", Wily whispers to Eggman, wanting to make sure Hub didn't just lead them into a trap.

? This isn't a pizzeria. Did you get lost out here in the cold?

He says his name isn't important, but that he just goes by 'Ochimo'.

"Yes."

Vivace decides to make the first statement, being relatively more expendable and all. "Snively Robotnik. Would you happen to know an 'Omelette'?"

Well I mean, things are definitely different nowadays, like you ever see Tien blow up a planet with it? Nah, don't think so.

She lowers her hand.

ohrightafighthuh HUHHH BEWARE! I AM SHOOTING MY DODON RAY! She does just that.

Snively actually jumps, genuinely not having even heard the door open in the first place.

"What? Who's in h-", he starts to ask, but pauses when he sees who's standing at the door. Naturally, he doesn't recognize Vivace, Omelette and Wily, and while Eggman looks different from how he used to look to him, he would recognize him in any shape or form.

"D-Doctor Robotnik!?", he asks outwardly, in clear shock. Inwardly though...

"W-what are... h-h-HOW are..."

"... is he always this jittery?", Wily asks.

She looked around some more

"Dammit, i got thrown out again"

she then looked at her hands and body

"Still pristine condition. and why did you touch me? im in a weird alleyway not at your doorstep"

her eyes oddly didnt glow against the night

Ochimo pulls zero verbal punches and tells her that he wanted to scrap her for parts and maybe some cash. Doesn't seem like the best option now, though.

He could go for a pizza. Pretty neat invention of the modern world, that.

"Heh. HAAAAAAAA!"

Laka unleashes the candy-pink Kamehameha!

"Oh, come now, Snively, call me 'uncle'!" Eggman says, his pleasant tone of voice so thinly masking the malice behind it that he may as well not have bothered with it.

"That's not the only surprise."

Omelette walks up to Snively directly. She stands there staring at him for a solid Beat.

"... So... obviously we know who got the better slice of the phenotypic pie."

Vs. Dire Miralis

Megan got kabooted by a meteor and tried to dodgeroll through a second one.

"Yknow I really should've thought about this but these damn things really hurt."

Dire Miralis seems to freeze from the Whiteshock. It's not moving, but those who are staying above the water can't see enough of it to tell whether something's going on down below or not.

Reyna, meanwhile, can plainly see that there's not. Fucker's gone *dial-up noises*.

So she goes ham on its face with her Insect Glaive while she can.

"Wouldnt be the first time"

compared to the pre recorded line, her voice had more personality and humanity behind, even if the voice itself was the same

"Trust me when i say i wouldnt go for a lot, haunted robots from 1987 from a company with a track record of killings, nobody would buy that. no sane person anyways"

Snively gulps. Even if there hadn't been a single hint of malice behind Eggman's tone he'd still have known. He knows him far too well to be fooled.

"H... how did you get here?", he asks, but then looks at Omelette as she approaches.

And then he looks insulted when he hears what she says.

"Excuse you, little girl, but as long as I have these beautiful hairs I'd say I still look like quite the catch.", he mutters before pausing.

"Wait... who are you?", he asks, tilting his head a little, then even tilting it more, as if he's trying to look at Omelette's head upside-down.

"Didn't you hear Vivace a moment ago? This is Omelette Robotnik, your cousin.", Dr Wily notes, causing Snively to stand back up right, looking shocked.

"I-I have a cousin!? Dr. Ro-... erm, Uncle... Julian? ... how did this..."

"... I can't tell if it worked. Anyhow, if it's not attacking..."

Varik starts charging up energy in his blade.

"Well, after you turned out to be such a disappointment, I turned to a different sibling and found their child all too eager to learn the ropes. She's now a dictator in her own right - and still far more loyal than you'd be in her shoes!"

"Yeah you butt-ugly my dude."

"Hey!" Omelette gives Vivace a pouty look. "We're still related!"

She kicks the Robot Master's shin, which receives no response.

Eggman comes dangerously close to Snively. "Now... Our Neo Metal Sonic already ran into a Metal Knuckles. I don't own one, and you would know how to make one. I hope you don't get any... ideas from what you happened to see."

"Disappointment!?", Snively asks with clenched teeth, still too intimidated to really say much more in response to that.

He is, however, so surprised that Omelette sticks up for him that he actually calms down for just a moment. That doesn't last long though, looking intimidated again when Eggman gets dangerously close. He quickly glances to the side.

"I... I wouldn't know what you're tal-"

Hub suddenly clears his throat. Dr. Wily looks back at him, seeing him standing in the doorway, his face covered by shadows but his eyes shining red in the darkness as he looks right at them. Basically telling them, without speaking, that Eggman's playing with fire right now. Dr. Wily quickly looks back at Eggman as he approaches him.

"Ivo.", he whispers, subtly pointing back to Hub. Snively sees this too, looks behind Wily and then looks shocked once more.

"W-w-wait a second! Hub!? You brought them here!?"

He comically angers.

"T-this is your payback for when I accidentally broke one of the monitors you were keeping a clone in, isn't it!?"

Hub says nothing in return... but then just smirks for a moment before looking away.

"W-why you little!!!"

He then glances back at Eggman, smiling nervously.

"... w... what sort of ideas could I possibly have from what I saw?"

Eggman catches the glare before Hub's demeanor changes in response to Snively.

He doesn't seem to care, as he continues being that close. Though he doesn't push any further.

"Ideas such as... trying to take the Chaos Emeralds we so painstakingly accumulated. Trying to... reprogram Metal Sonic. Or trying to convince the 'heroes' that you're on their side!"

Vivace prepares herself to physically restrain Eggman if things get any worse.

Snively pauses, then somehow finds the courage to smirk back at Eggman. Eggman not pushing any further to go for physical abuse seems to have alerted Snively to the fact that Hub must not have allowed him to do as such.

"What part of working here makes you believe I have the luxury to do any of those things? You do know what group Hub belongs to, right? They don't allow more than 1 Chaos Emerald in here at a time, and unless it's with their blessing, I'm not allowed to go out and trick heroes either. As for Metal Sonic..."

He gestures to the side.

"Why would I bother reprogramming yours when I have my own to work with?"

If they look to the side, they'll see Metal Sonic◊ standing in the darkness, though his eyes aren't shining so he's likely not active right now. Of note is that, a bit deeper in the darkness, four more robots can be seen, but they're too far in to really be clear.

"Once I had my hands on this roaming Metal Sonic, my genius intellect allowed me to create more robots. Intellect that, unlike you, Uncle Julian, these people did appreciate."

Hey, dont put yourself down like that! You'd probably go for a fair amount as a kitschy robotic bodyguard or soldier.

Besides, how would they tell once I start pulling parts out?

Eggman smugly smirks right back. "Ah, yes. What did you do with your genius intellect? Instead of making something brand new, you just ripped off one of my greatest designs. Maybe if you could create something totally original, you'd have been worth more respect."

Vivace raises a hand. "I actually don't know who these people are. I assume if Wily knew, he'd have programmed the information in when he made me."

"Erm... well, I didn't actually consider the possibility of us getting involved with this group, considering our own plans.", Wily says to Vivace, making it clear that, yes, he did know who the Assassins are.

Snively looks frustrated at Eggman for a moment, but then grins again.

"So you think."

He now turns to those robots and gestures to them.

"It's true that those robots over there are probably designs that you may have created yourself, or at least considered making at some point. But they are simple prototypes, practice for my true invention. Something I know you haven't made before, because the idea was given to me by my new work partner. Someone who, too, appreciates me for my intellect and skills."

He starts walking, gesturing for the group to follow.

"Come, and I'll show you what a real genius can create!"

"Very well. Enlighten me." Eggman follows, and then so do the others.

Dr. Wily follows as well.

After a few seconds of walking, Snively arrives at the darkest part of the room.

"It has taken me a long time to complete this model. Visually, it may not appear much different from Metal Sonic and those other robots, but internally, this is a whole different beast altogether. With the power of just a single Chaos Emerald, this robot can lay waste to that hedgehog, or anything else that the Assassins' enemies throw at them! As part of the agreement to live and work here, I would have to create something useful for them. And thanks to the ideas of my new work partner, I have not only succeeded, but exceeded all expectations! There's still some tweaking that has to be done, but its in a finished-enough state that I can show it off to you."

He takes a remote out of his pocket.

"Uncle Ivo, cousin Omelette, you other two, be happy, for you'll bear witness to its very first showing, its introduction to the world! I give you..."

He presses the button, grinning proudly and slightly madly.

"My masterpiece!"

The lights go on, revealing a stage with a single robot on it. Dr. Wily looks it over, tilting his head a little. Omelette and Vivace would also not immediately know what's so special about it.

But Eggman... Eggman... his reaction may be very different from theirs when he sees just what it looks like◊.

Snively's Masterpiece

"What do you think, uncle? The design, too, was my work partner's idea, and I rather like it.", Snively grins, and if Eggman looks his way, he may catch a glimpse of the dark blob that had been on Snively's shoulder during the Metal Knuckles fight. It's sitting on a faraway table, seemingly staring right at Eggman.
