Enter The Arena As Your Avatar -- The Spinoff!

Lucien and Grymm smirk, and the former shakes his head.

”Oh, whatever will we do with him?”

   ”I don’t think it was that funny...but to each their own, I guess.”   

Meanwhile, Ugo trills again, and happily takes the treat from Ana. Lucien smiles.

”I must say that this has been a very pleasant time. I have not had much polite company, especially not in this world.”

"Indeed it has.", Ana says with a smile while Ninten manages to calm down a little. "Things have been pretty tense in this world for a while now, but being able to sit back and drink tea with friends feels really nice."

"I'm not usually the type of person who does stuff like this, I'm usually occupying myself with schoolwork and research. But this was fun and relaxing, I'm really glad I was able to be here.", Lloyd happily says.

Ninten has now fully calmed down and shows a smile as well. His smile, however, looks really warm and grateful, moreso than a normal smile.

"I don't know how else to say it than saying this is exactly what I needed. Things have been a bit tense all around lately, like Ana said, but some things have also been tense for me personally. But thanks to this I've been able to really enjoy myself again for the first time in two years."

He then looks slightly more bashful.

"Well, not that I haven't enjoyed myself at all for that much time, especially being around one of my newest friends Claus was pretty fun. But I haven't really been able to relax without worries ever since something that happened back at home that I would rather not elaborate on, and with some stuff going on that I need to investigate, I feel like I won't be able to relax like this for a good time to come."

He scratches the back of his head while laughing pleasantly.

"What can I say but... us meeting here again was pretty much perfect timing, and I don't know how to thank you for inviting us for this tea party three years ago. No way I would've imagined back then how great this would turn out to be."

Ana and Lloyd, now looking at him as he speaks, both look really happy that Ninten enjoyed himself so much again. It really had been a while, and as his friends they'd worried about him quite a bit.

Something wicked this way comes

NERV HQ, Control room

The Control room team are trying out their new magical energy tracing systems, noticing occasional spikes, drops, and so on throughout the arena. Everything seems normal... The earlier large spike confirmed that the sensors were working, but, it's quieted down... until now. Another large reading appears, alongside camera footage from an outpost out in the depths of intrigue. Something... massive is tearing through the area, with masive structures being thrown as if on their own. odd phenomenon is rampant, something small approaches the camera, before destroying it.

Misato notices that the source of the readins is approaching hub Centralis... and gives an order. "Everyone, prepare for combat, and initiate procedures for evangelion unit depployment! The City, and Possibly NERV HQ, are on the warpath of whatever the hell that was!"

Everone at their consoles bustles to work out of their initial shock, alarms start blaring. Gendo is woken up by the alarms, getting out of bed, while Shinji ikari and another pilot, Rei Ayanami, are given a call by misato over the PA systems. "Shinji, Rei, Get to the EVA hangars. Something's coming our way!"

Surfaceside

Madoka looks onwards from a tall building in the direction of Intrigue, seeing the signs of a threat she knows she faced before... A witch... and not just any witch... "I... I can't believe it... That's... That can't be... Walpurgisnacht couldn't be..."

Homura looks over from a nearby building, concerned... Madoka's already made her wish, and homura is unsure of if the arena will keep letting her play by the rules she's been playing with...

Homura stops time, thinking things over, before... beginning to speak to herself.

Homura's World, Frozen time hub centralis

"Walpurgisnacht is here too. I can tell that this is stressing out Madoka, which... isn't good in the slightest. I have to prevent this from becoming as bad as it can be. I have the weapons to do it, I can end walpurgisnacht right now!"

She turns around, before her appearance suddenly changes. Her form flickers to one which is... much more ominous... a form she has taken in the arena only once before. Her Devil to madoka's God.

She speaks back to herself, saying    "Why should you help her? You know that none of this really matters. We, not just you, not just I, We betrayed her. It doesn't even matter, all will be set right once we return to our world. Besides, you know that without me, you stand no chance against walpurgisnacht. If you do help her, she may simply fade away again, who knows what will happen. You can keep her if she's a witch. Our beutiful madoka would do best if we stayed out of her way."   

Her form returns to normal, before replying "I can't just sit here and let this happen. I let you come to be to save her, to avenge her! I don't need you trying to stop me, I don't need you at all right now! Go away, now!"

Her form flickers once more, as her other form replies    "We're stuck together, you and I, we're one and the same. You love madoka, but we went down a path of betrayal. That is not our madoka, anyways. When we return to our world, all will be right. Besides, if you go on your own, you won't win, no matter how many guns you have, and I won't lend my aid here."   

Homura sighs, before... conceding defeat to her other self. "Time's resuming soon, and I can't let madoka see me doing this... but... I'm not ready to fight walpurgisnacht. Years of practice wasn't enough to kill it, and things have changed... I'm more likely to make this worse for madoka if I get in the way..." Homura backs off from the tower, heading on her own way...

Hub Centralis

The sound of a motorcycle approaches the danger zone.

Someone seemed to be struggling with a door— No, nevermind.

Rafisol stepped out of the smoking, shattered wall that had once been where a door resided, looking... pretty neutral, actually.

Iraaxos, in his typical humanoid guise, descended from parts unknown with his staff in hand. He took a brief look around for now, and observed carefully. Zophiel was also there with him, with a mechanical lead pencil and a notebook. Huh.

Hub Centralis

Thor is lifting enormous weights for the sake of what appears to be Stella, who's casually sitting on the heaviest weight, filming him.

MOTH WOMAN! FOR A WARRIOR WHO HAS DEMONSTRATED HIS ABILITY TO SEVERELY IMPACT CELESTIAL BODIES SEVERAL TIMES OVER DURING HIS IMMORTAL LIFE, THOSE WEIGHTS ARE TRIFLE! He toss the weights unto the ground after Stella flies off, and flex.

Hihihi! I'd just rather not have you break the city in half!

Hub Centralis

Kyoko is polishing Ophelia, whilst giving an unpleasant visitor a stare down.

"Boy, I don't care how many times yer old boss said that, I'm not gonna fight you on my lunch. Maybe later?"

"Mmbgbgrmgbgrlglrbgbr Mgcmga!"

"Oh fuck off ya filthy Xeno."

She looks at the sky and grimaces. Looks like Ophelia will have to be covered soon so it doesn't rust.

Hub centralis-giant boss fight thingy

A girl dress in just a mountain of blue and pink had just entered the area and was visibly confused, she didnt have a clue what was happening

"Well this is something, weird. whats happening? who are all these people?"

she sort of strolled around the dangerous area trying to put something together about what was going on

Draedon actually seemed to be quite content to not make the first move, as he instead looked to his hand, examining first the palm, then the backside. On a lesser foe, their face may have betrayed confusion, doubt, smugness, curiosity, anything - but as always, the droid's face was inscrutable. After his quick inspection, he looked back up to the group.

   "Fascinating... This is a remarkably accurate simulation. Any system capable of even somewhat accurately recreating and fully simulating my processor is impressive, indeed. A shame that the same attention has not been paid to its security. I have locked your companion out of the system, and prevented any of you from voluntarily disconnecting for the time being."   

The area around them shifted again, becoming a circular platform, resting far above the Arena itself.

   "Yes, this will do. Now, I believe I was intended to fight you, correct? It will certainly provide a suitable pastime while I complete my work. Go ahead, make your move. I am in no hurry."   

HUB CENTRALIS

EVA 01 and EVA 00 rise from under the ground, alongside structures carrying weaponry for them, as the storm currently raging approaches the city. Alarms blare out, as the evangelion pilots move their EVAS into defensive positions. Shinji begins to panic, not knowing what's going on, while rei remains calm.

Those who arrived at the city, prepared for the storm, would find a horrific being flying over the waters, towards the shore, with buildings being torn out of the ground by an unseen force around it. Flames of magic energy, mysterious creatures, and more, flood the streets. The entity albeit small in comparison to the evangelions.

Walpurgisnacht has arrived.

It prepares to attack...

Only to be interrupted by a series of pink lines piercing through it, alongside one last pink arrow, as it falls to the ground, before fading away,dead. The source of the shots , if one looked, which the Two EV As do, would be the young madoka, with her bow flaring up like a star.... Madoka collapses to her knees, however, as something... goes wrong. The gem around her neck begins to go black, as the sky turns from a stormy grey to... a strange pale yellow with hints of pink....

Madoka speaks out, saying "N... No... This isnt happening, After all i've done, I had to face this again... And for what? My mother? My father? they're not here... and there's no end to the fighting here... unless... it ends with me..."

Madoka's body begins to twist, and her soul gem "Shines" a pale black, as a massive towering being begins to form, and tendrils begin to go throughout Hub Centralis, before the arena works its magic, isolating this event in space time from the rest of the arena, preventing its destruction.

KRIEMHILD GRETCHEN HAS ARRIVED.

Shinji broadcasts openly through a speaker system, saying "Wha- What! Misato, everyone, are you alright!"

Rei remains silent, simply aiming her EVA's rifle at the new threat.

All that comes from NERV HQ is radio static...

"This party's getting crazy! Let's rock!"

Dante leaps off his bike, which splits into the twin chainsaws Cavaliere, as he delivers two brutal spinning slashes at Gretchen.

Thor notices the craziness going on outside and decide to quickly solve it by grasping his hammers and flying out.

PREPARE TO DIE MAD BEAST!

Kyoko glares at the Walpurgisnacht, muttering "Not this one again..." before it's skewered.

"Madoka?!"

She grins, but it morphs into a look of horror as the girl transforms into a witch. Kyoko quickly twists into Ophelia's cockpit before opening fire with its Gatling Cannon.

"Mmbgrl?"

Ceph turns to open fire with its plasma gun, firing a single probably-ineffectual shot at Kriemhild.

Iraaxos remained back for now. Perhaps this group would prove to be sufficient that his interference would not be required... Though, the sudden change in the nature of Madoka into a new threat was certainly unexpected.

"The tension in the air is so thick one could spoon it into a bowl for broth..."

   "Indeed— and I don't believe I've heard you use that phrase before. Something of your own thinking, or did you pick it up elsewhere?"   

"I believe one of the others from our realm may have said it once, though I cannot recall."

Rafisol found this whole thing to be intensely agitating to otherwise normal, calm, and easy day.

   "How repulsive. [Domination]."   

Rafisol's power flared to life as she activated her primary buff, and rose about fifteen feet into the air.

   "Disappear, horrid thing. [Hide]!"   

She extended her hands forward, in a sort of kamehameha-esque gesture, and proceeded to unleash a deluge of magical bolts toward Kriemhild Gretchen.

"Ah!"

Madeline got scared a bit by the whole events but quickly assesed what the best course of action would be. she decided to take off her hat and pull out a rocket launcher, before rising some of the ground below her and aiming at the new threat

"I hope this is right"

Shinji, upon hearing no response from command, has EVA 01 fire at Kreimhild, alongside Rei doing the same with EVA 00. The bullets appear to be doing some damage, but not much of any significance.

Rafisol's shots land on the titanic mass, but Kreimhild still stands, enduring the strikes, Alongside Dante's melee strikes.

Gretchen's topmost part, which resembles madoka, looks down at those which would reject its salvation. Why do they resist? Kreimhild Gretchen's rootlike tendrils move to strike every last combatant, while the main body prepares a magical attack, the grief seed which was once its soul gem flaring vibrantly....

"ROYALGUARD!" Dante parries the attacking tentacle in a burst of red energy, then brandishes Devil Sword Dante and slashes at it!

Thor whacks that motherfucker with an hammer blow so mighty, the shockwave it forms head straight for the great witch, attempting to directly strike and topple her!

Stella, meanwhile, is recording everything, glad to see her viewer count rising.

Ophelia's Reaper Chainsword revs up, and she swipes it around in a quick motion to fend off the approaching tendrils.

Ceph's attention locks on to the Grief Seed, noting it as reminiscent of a meguca's Soul Gem, and fires a searing bolt of plasma right at it. He is then lashed by tendrils, taking some damage even through his armor.

"Mhgml...?"

Vs. Kriemhild Gretchen

   "Duck."   

Iraaxos and Zophiel dipped their heads below a trashing tendril and returned, relatively unperturbed, to their observings.

Rafisol got batted into the side of a large building, shot out the other side, and landed on a rooftop some distance away. She gritted her teeth and growled quietly. This was turning into a problem. She launched herself back over the building she had been launched through and landed atop it, before aiming a single hand towards Kriemhild Gretchen and invoking her next spell.

   "[Takeover]."   

A roiling vortex of arcane energies formed in about the same spot as Kriemhild, which would linger for a few rounds before it vanished, dealing damage all the while if Kriemhild could not move away from it.

"welp, nobodys answering me."

she aimed the rocket at the huge foe and fired...however midifre madeline stuck her hands out, and the rocket changed into multiple before continuing forward

"I need to get back to tea time."

she took a teacup from her hat and began sipping it while she waited for something to happen

Kreimhild begins to be struck by the incoming attacks, before it begins to... move... It's moving like an octopus would on land, dragging itself along with its tendrils, as the main body continues to charge a spell, with smaller projectiles beginning to rain down, scatting around.

The Evangelion units at fields remain intact, somewhat blocking most of the shots, although the magic seems to be doing a better job than conventional weaponry against their fields. EVA 01 resumes opening fire, while EVA 00 moves in with a progressive knife.

The shots to kreimhild's Grief seed, finally, land true, with cracks beginning to form. This causes the top part to flinch, as it continues to charge up its attack...

Beings formed of the roots begin to appear, as the lower streets of Hub centralis begin to flood with water.

Dante creates a set of demon-energy-swords and starts going to town on the entities springing up in the area, slicing and dicing in wide sweeps with the extra swords following each swing for more damage.

Kyoko grunts in dissatisfaction, moving Ophelia into a position to defend Ceph. She takes a projectile and shudders, but doesn't down. She sweeps her Gatling Cannon over the streets of Hub Centralis, aiming to wipe out the rooty familiars before they can make too much trouble.

Ceph makes a disgruntled noise not unlike one that would come out of the Pyro, stowing his Plasma Gun for a Cephalopod-grade sniper cannon.

"MBMBMHBM BMHGA!"

Its neural implants lock on to their target, the Grief Seed again, before the Cephalopod fires an armor-piercing energy bullet at incredible velocity.

Thor spins his hammer and call upon lightning to try to smite all the beings, unaware or unconcerned with the water issue.
