   "There could be a hint of citrus there."    The Devourer concedes.    "I'd have to taste it to be sure, though."    She grins again, giving Rhea a glance.

Huh, I thought you'd get mad. She admits, blinking owlishly at Rhea in answer to her pretty casual reply.

Rhea has hit her fucking limit.

"Okay cool bye"

She instantly vanishes.

The Devourer watches Rhea vanish.    "Well, time to get searching. See you, kid."    With a wave of her hand, she creates a rift in dimensions behind her which she quickly retreats into, leaving Dahlila all alone.

The siblings both create a shield, but the barrage of attacks breaks through them. Apparently, when they have to think fast, they have no time to think of making their shields unbreakable.

While both fall on the ground as a result, Althea can still set off a series of explosions in Roxas' general area.

Roxas gets engulfed in the explosions, dropping Oathkeeper and Oblivion and stumbling onto his ass.

"Ngh... okay... you got me. I guess you're a winner in more than one way today."

Xion helps Roxas up. She turns to Althea. "So, wanna go see what the prize is?"

Both Althea and Artemas look surprised.

"Wait, we won?", Althea asks as she gets up, looking giddy. "Yeah, I want to see the prize!"

Artemas, as he gets up too, looks really happy that Althea is having fun. It's clear that he cares for her a lot.

Xion nudges Althea towards the ice cream stand. "Simply hand over the stick that says 'winner' on it."

Upon doing so, Althea will receive a chocolate-chip ice cream sandwich,◊ accompanied by a 'My lips are sealed' gesture from the seller.

"Is it that I'll need to bring the other Thor to keep Set from personally interfering?" Thor inquires. "Because I already have that part covered."

Dispelling his orbs, Severus takes out a spellbook from his coat, smiling slightly.

"Hmm... I do believe this will prove to be quite an educational experience."

Althea does so, and looks the sandwich over curiously. Roxas and Xion will quickly realize that she has literally never seen a sandwich before.

"What did you get?", Artemas asks as he walks over to her, peeking over her shoulder.

"I... think it's some kind of cold bread?"

"No, but that was, admittedly, a good idea.", Pseudo says.

"I have been told by Troa and Katre, who sought out my monitor, that Set is away during the night, and returns at the crack of dawn. The best and potentially only time to strike is then, and as long as we don't attack them during this mission, they'll be on our side."

He then smiles.

"And before you express your -admittedly justified- doubts about these hints, I had Axonn with me. With his mask power, he was able to confirm that the both of them were speaking the truth. As such, while I know it's an unfair thing to ask of you, for the sake of destroying the Cabal, I must ask you to not attack Troa and Katre during this mission. With the both of them and both of you Thors on our side, and Set absent, our victory looks like it can be realized."

He smirks.

"Once the Cabal is all done for however, you're free to tackle any 'loose ends' in whatever way you see fit. And I'm certain you'll see the use of being able to fight those two without having to fear any Cabal interference."

Lup chuckles.    "In that case, I suppose this isn't the last time we'll meet."    She twirls her Umbra Staff.    "But is there anything to go over now?"   

Tharja ponders.

"Hm... well, I'm not really sure there's anything that has to be talked about within a time limit. Unless anyone can think of anything right now."

"Oh wow, it's an ice cream sandwich. Those are expensive; you're lucky to get one for free."

"Roxas?"

"Yeah?"

"I don't think they know what a sandwich is, dummy. This is like the fusion of two completely alien concepts to them."

Xion kneels down. "At the risk of sounding patronizing, a sandwich is two slices of bread with any other food in between, but usually meat and cheese. In this case, the 'bread' has had sugar added to make it more like a cookie, and the filling is ice cream - vanilla, not sea-salt - with chocolate chips."

Thor... takes a deep breath.

"Fine. I suppose I can put my differences with... them aside until Set and his cronies have been dealt with. But Callis and I promised three Saiyans a fight with Troa, Katre and Eleven. While her protege, Courne, seems like the patient type and the worst I can expect from Goku is some mild complaining, the prince has been in a rather foul mood since the tournament."

He leans against Stormbringer.

"And Loki hired Hit, an incredibly powerful assassin, to kill all three of them. I know they'll look forward to fighting and slaying Eleven, and I plan on going after her as soon as possible, but how the Hel will I convince our less-than-patient allies to wait for the opportunity to face the other two?"

"I believe Tharja put it better than I ever could," Severus replies.

Freeze Man looks like he's about to accept - only to morph his arm into a Buster and fire his Freeze Cracker at Kyubey. It's a snowflake-like projectile that splits into six smaller projectiles if it hits the ground or a wall. "Sorry, but I am physically unable to let you do that!"

   "Then in that case, I'll leave you with this."    Lup taps the Umbra Staff on the ground, and two glowing rocks appear floating in the air.    "These Stones of Farspeech will make it possible to contact me or each other whenever you want from literally anywhere, whether you need my help or just wanna chat."

"Huh... that sounds like a clever way to eat multiple kinds of food at once.", Artemas says. He then turns back to Althea.

"Well, what are you waiting for?", he asks, smiling. Althea looks down at the sandwich, and then it instantly splits in two. She offers the other half to Artemas.

"Huh? But you're the one who won it.", he says.

"I know. But I want us both to get to eat it.", she responds with a smile.

Artemas, looking happy as well, takes the piece and they both take a bite out of it.

"Oh, now that can be easily circumvented. Katre and Troa expressed a desire to have Eleven survive as well. It's good that you mentioned her, with everything that's going on I'd almost forgotten.", Pseudo says.

"So yeah, just sic the Saiyans and Hit on them after the Cabal has been dealt with. You won't have broken your promise, and we can still go ahead with this plan. It even gives us an powerful extra ally in Eleven during the fight, because I'm certain Katre and Troa will try to make her switch sides too. ... But now I'm curious, why would Vegeta be in a foul mood?"

Beat

"Is it because he got second place and not first.", Pilly immediately guesses.

Tharja grabs one of the stones. Of course, she's already thinking of testing some hexes on this thing.

Thor clenches his sparking fist.

"If what Loki overheard when Set recruited Katre and Troa is true, then Eleven gleefully carried out Odin knows how many depravities in the name of the arseholes who enslaved Ninth. Collaborating with those two is one thing, but if you honestly think that I'm going to fight alongside the final remnant of those beasts' tyranny, then you are sorely mistaken, Pseudo!"

He slams his axe into the floor.

"No, Eleven will die, and I don't give a damn what Katre and Troa want that sadistic little swine for!"

Severus gratefully accepts his Stone of Farspeech.

"Thank you for this, Lup."

"Aww, how precious..."

Roxas stifles a chortle.

*sniff sniff*

*sniff sniff*

"... Huh?" Roxas suddenly snaps to alertness.

Xion does the same. "I feel something... strange. Someone is nearby, and whoever it is, they're bad news..."

"Nnnngaaaaaaaaaaah," yawns Beerus as he emerges from a nearby alleyway. "I awake to the sounds of fighting but now I'm smelling something awfully sweet."

NEXT TIME ON DRAGON BALL ARENA

   "Anytime, darlings."    Lup teleports away.

Vague Onyxis

Skippy Wildgrin◊ wanders through the landscape, seeming unbothered by the bitter chill.

Filia walked through the environment, light on her feet but each individual step created the tiniest cracklings of ice as the ground below her was swallowed by frost. She continued to trail Skippy, waiting for an opportune moment.

Skippy continues jogging, only to stop suddenly.

"I know you're there. Come on out..."

Filia steps out from behind a nearby boulder, her ice blue eyes locked on Skippy. Her steps were still light, elegant even. She kept a relaxed posture and pose, she didnt seem to be all that bothered by being detected.

"I didn't think I'd go undetected this long. If you hadn't noticed me by now I'd surely be disappointed."

"I'm not stupid," Skippy says. "But I digress." He turns to face Filia directly.

"Judging by the appearance, I assume you have some association with that Krampus guy."

Artemas and Althea turn to look at Beerus as he emerges, and the both of them suddenly look pretty psyched.

"Oh, wow! A cat!"

"A talking cat!"

Pilly jumps in fright when Stormbringer hits the ground and looks intimidated. Botar immediately appears as well, looking like he's about to throw Thor out for damaging the base. He doesn't do so because Pseudo raises his hand, telling Botar to wait, though just in case things get worse, Botar's head is still glowing. Warping would only take a fraction of a second.

Pseudo then looks even more serious.

"... Very well. The fact that you have been willing to ally yourself with the Assassins and Narktus, and now those two as well, only to draw the line with Eleven, tells me how important this is to you. It's unfair to ask you to go that far, and I understand your position.", he says, almost robotically calm.

"In turn, however, I have to insist that you understand my position as well."

He gets out of his chair.

"Fighting Eleven, and likely causing Troa and Katre to change their minds, is a risk I refuse to take. If we go this direction, my organization will not lend aid to the battle against Set's Cabal."

"We won't?", Pilly asks. Botar looks equally as surprised, but still alert. Pseudo doesn't say anything to them, just looking at Thor, giving him a chance to talk before saying anything else himself.

"... Darlings?", Tharja asks, looking so annoyed by the word that it's kinda funny to look at.
