"I'll try, but... It's going to be difficult, knowing just how different from the likes of Ultron these Cyber Angels really are," Thor replies. "I pray that the twins' plan to negotiate with them is a successful one."

"I've seen enough people succumb to the influence of artifacts like this gauntlet to know how seriously her warning should be taken. That's all I'm going to say on the matter," Severus says to Tharja. "But you're right, this basement is hardly the place to hold a conversation."

Gesturing for Tharja and Lup to follow, he ascends the stairs.

"Anyway, yes, Tharja and I are both mages. Where I'm from, I actually help train up-and-coming mages at the academy where I learned how to wield magic."

The Devourer acknowledges Dahlia's presence with a nod, then turns back to Rhea just in time to see her pout as she boasts.    "Going straight to the boasting, are we?"    She chuckles, beginning to pace a bit.    "If you got me started, we'd be here for the next few years. So trust me, kid, you won't impress me. Not even a god could do that."   

Oh. I'm a humble kind of person so don't expect me to talk about myself. She lies. It's just too hard being modest at times, you know?

She raise a mocking eyebrow.

Lup goes along with them.    "Oh, cool! I'm more of a lone wolf-type, y'know?"   

"I'm just trying to make small talk!" Rhea protests. "You missed the tournament, didn't you? It was a real thrill."

Artemas just vanishes to avoid the Keyblade thrown his way, while the still rolling shield of Althea gets hit and shatters.

This does let Althea get out unharmed though, and she disappears as well when Roxas comes in for an attack.

With both of the siblings gone for the moment, they're safe from Roxas' attack. The moment he stops though, they suddenly both appear behind him and launch a wall of flames at him.

"I hope so too.", Pseudo says. He then seems to be reminded of something.

"Oh, Thor... a question. Have you ever heard of the word 'Navitus'? It's a word that was listed on a translated paper."

"I can respect that.", Tharja says to Lup, smirking as she goes up back with them.

   "Yeah, I missed it. Would have loved to be around for something like that, really. But enough about that tournament for now."    She turns to Dahlila.    "I haven't gotten your name yet, kid. I'm sure your humility won't stop you from introducing yourself."   

I was waiting for you to acknowledge me. She say, raising her finger. This one goes by the name Dahlila. No last name. It's too simple.

She winks twice while doing so.

Thor raises an eyebrow.

"Navitus? I don't believe I'm familiar with that word. Do you think it could mean something important?"

"Even so, I imagine you'd both have quite a lot to teach the students there, considering how knowledgeable you are when it comes to magic."

Severus takes a seat at the table.

"Provided you refrained from traumatizing them with horror stories about hexes gone terribly wrong or those who succumbed to the gauntlet's influence."

Roxas creates a Reflect barrier around himself to endure the flames, then slips behind Artemas with Reversal.

"So is your power just... whatever you want? Because you could be doing a lot more. Like this!" He holds his Keyblades together, then is surrounded by a number of Nobody emblems that shoot down beams of light just like Xion's crown-sigil rays from yesterday. They spin around him before going spiraling off in every direction around him.

Xion slips through the beams and tries to go to town on Roxas with a flurry of Keyblade swings!

   "I don't do hexes,"    Lup replies.    "My magic specialty is Evocation - all your typical 'offense' spells would fall into that category. Fireball, Earth Tremor, Acid Arrow, Magic Missile, such and such. Why use magic for tricks and deceit when you can be a living force of nature?"   

Rhea turns to Dahlila. "You're weird." She sticks her tongue out at the vampire.

   "I kinda like her, honestly."    The Devourer quips back at Rhea.    "In any case, having no last name isn't that weird. And aren't you just 'Rhea,' anyway?"   

That's a pretty nice thing to say of me.

When the Devourer mention liking her she makes the victory sign. Aye thanks. Anyway, what draws you here? I'm kinda stuck here and this world is...

She look up.

Wellllll there was that time shadow people attacked I guess. But otherwise? Hm.

Rhea folds her arms. "It's the comments and funky gestures, and calling yourself 'this one', that puts me off."

"And yeah, I'm just Rhea, but that's because the closest thing I have to a parent is the god-tree whose fruit hatched me like an egg. I don't have any family name."

She points at the Devourer of Gods. "And what do you go by?"

The both of them get hit by the rays of light, though both of them survive the attack this time. As Artemas gets up, he looks at Roxas.

"What do you mean, we could do a lot more?"

"Aren't our powers pretty effective already?", Althea asks as she gets up too.

"It must be, due to the context it was used in on the paper. Nevertheless, I'll continue asking around outside the base too. Someone is bound to at least have heard of it.", Pseudo says.

"So I'm the only one who creates hexes. Well, both of your magic powers are still intriguing to observe regardless. Huhuhu, we may be able to learn something from one another. I wouldn't pass up the chance for more magical knowledge."

   "I come here, from time to time. It's a lot more fun than where I come from. Here, you can get a real fight. And the food is so much better here, too."    She explains, then turns to Rhea, cracking a grin.    "Speaking of food... They call me the Devourer of Gods where I'm from."   

Oh, sorry, just not used to dealing with people. She claps her hands together, smile and close one eye. I prefer books.

Huh, how do they taste? Dahlila asks the Devourer, though she looks more interested than her nonchalant tone indicate.

"Well... no," Roxas replies bluntly after getting whacked about by Xion. "Xion has done more damage to me by swinging her Keyblade than either of you have so far, but I feel like that can change if you want it to."

"Sure you want to give them an advantage?"

"Thanks to you, I'm already close to going down," Roxas retorts. He jumps back into it, swinging Oathkeeper one-handed at Althea thrice in a row before making a stab with Oblivion.

"Oh balls. Ummmm..."

Rhea tries to think of a way to explain herself.

"Okay, so yeah I was born as a god due to special circumstances, but where I'm from being a deity is also a role to play with responsibilities, and anyone better at the job than you can replace you if the cosmic hierarchy sees fit. So y'see, I'm not... trying to be a god...?"

She's about ready to run.

"Loki and I will make sure to keep a lookout for any clues as to what it could mean," Thor assures. "Is there anything else I should know about?"

"I wouldn't say Tharja's hexes are the kind you're thinking of, Lup. If memory serves me correctly, the ones that she employs fulfill a different function than deception and trickery."

Severus conjures up a fireball in one hand and an orb of electricity in the other.

"As for me, I specialize primarily in elemental magic. Fire, ice, lightning... you name it, and I can probably conjure it."

   "Ah, I see."    Lup strokes her chin.    "I think Evocation and elemental magic are... kind of the same thing, really. Not 100% identical, but there's definitely a lot of overlap. So if you're sure there's something to gain from my expertise..."   

She chuckles as, with a flick of her wrist, some kind of closed red umbrella seemingly just appears in her right hand, twirling up to rest against her shoulder.    "Then I bet I can teach a thing or two."   

This umbrella is a magical item. Not as powerful as the gauntlet, for sure, but... it would seem to be Lup's equivalent of a wand or staff.

The Devourer pauses, showing off her razor teeth with her grin, before her threatening facade breaks and she dissolves into laughter.    "Don't you worry, kid, I wouldn't eat you. Not now, at least. In fact, you're so cute, I might just keep you."    She turns to Dahlila, still chuckling.    "Sweet, usually. I bet Rhea would taste like pineapple, though."   

Pineapp... Ohhhh. Dahlila chuckles a little and caress her chin, figuring out what the devourer meant. Funny.

The two look at each other, nod, then turn back to Roxas, looking serious.

Althea creates a steel wall to block Roxas' attacks, after which the wall just explodes right in Roxas' face.

Artemas then follows up by having vines emerge from the ground and attempt to entrap him. If successful, he should be vulnerable to a follow-up attack from Xion.

"What do you think of this?", Artemas asks, regardless of the results.

"Nothing I can think of at the moment.", Pseudo says. "For now, we should remain wary of the Cyber Angels, and try to contact Shadow to see if he can potentially help the Maximoffs with our negotiations."

Then he remembers something else.

"Oh, right. In relation to Set, we have acquired some very crucial information for when we eventually deal with him."

"My hexes have a lot of potential uses. Curses, cures, misfortune casting, luck casting, and who knows what else. Needless to say, I want to create as many different hexes as possible.", Tharja says. "Aside from that, I mostly use offensive Dark Magic in battle. That, or Thunder Magic."

Roxas gets caught, allowing Xion to smash him into the sky with a light-infused Keyblade blow.

"... Better."

He thrusts his hands out to the side and releases his Keyblades, which spin outwards and point up on either side of him. "But I'm not done yet!"

Oathkeeper and Oblivion materialize countless sparks of light and darkness in a ring around Roxas, before the sparks split into three clusters that home in on each of his foes, trying to barrage them.

Xion gets bombarded with sparks and blown down. "I'm okay!" she says reassuringly. "Just hit him!"

Rhea stammers, simultaneously flustered and creeped out. "I-uh-buh-wh..."

When she finally regains her voice, it's a single word. "PINEAPPLE?!" she shouts, sounding offended.

The Devourer closes her eyes, leaning a little towards Rhea as she sniffs deeply.    "... Yup. Pineapple."   

I thought it'd be lemon. She adds in, almost casually.

Rhea is unsettled by the Devourer getting close, but she doesn't dare make a sudden move.

"P... pineapple. Okay, sure."

She looks at Dahlila. "I actually agree with that. Y'know, like carbonated lemonade? Or a banana?"

She makes a sour (kek) expression. "On second thought, definitely not a banana."
