The Add-Ons get caught in the electric field, stunned for a moment. The Batter tries to take advantage of Daraoch's attention being on the Add-Ons, charging at him without fear and attempting to bash him with his bat while running past him. (Run With Courage)

Aside from a very faint and scared cry for help, all sounds suddenly cease to be from the Elsen.

The smoke begins to clear some more, revealing that the Elsen isn't quite the same anymore. His whole body, aside from his clothes, has been enwrapped with smoke, making his hands look like claws, and his face look like soulless ash.

He lowers his hands, letting them hang lifelessly, as he slowly raises his head to look at Lucina and Laurent.

   "Hhhhhhh..."   

He takes a slow step towards them.

   "Hhhhhhh..."   

And another...

   "Hhhhhhhh..."   

Then, with an inhuman scream, he leaps!

   "HHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

Why are these people rushin-right, it's the Arena. says Stark, as he attempts to match MK's blow with an upward uppercut !

What volume ! Perhaps we should seek help ?

Help will come on its own ! Stay behind me !

Lucina grabs Laurent and leap away, grabbing her sword and getting into a stance. Laurent grabs a book of his own, a little less confident than his wife.

Nagato hangs back and continues supporting fire.

She pumps out more frickin laser beams.

Mecha Knight flips backwards and slides to a stop on the ground, leaving his guard briefly open.

Daroach whirls around and stops the incoming bat with one hand... bruising his paw, but adrenaline keeps him from caring.

Doc makes a few more rotations before vanishing.

Daroach teleports to gain a bit of distance, then dashes at the Batter, lunging at him with a straight claw slash that slides past him whether it hits or not. (Hunter Claw)

   "Hm."   , he mutters, seemingly a little annoyed that Daraoch is stronger than he looks.

The Add-Ons fly out of Doc's reach after getting over their stun, and return to the Batter, who leaps to the side once more to avoid Daraoch's attack, his bat still raised. He then turns around, however, and swings at the air in front of him.

It'll only take Daraoch a second of confusion to realize why, as the time loop resets and the girl appears right in front of the Batter, not even able to comprehend where he is before she's hit in her side, hard, and crashes into a tree, knocked unconscious.

The Batter immediately charges at the ghost girl, while his Add-Ons charge at Daraoch, intending on keeping him out of the Batter's way.

The Burnt swiftly turns around on his feet, then starts stumbling towards the both of them quickly, spewing a thick smoke at them to cover the battlefield... and practically make it impossible to tell where the Burnt is.

No attack comes yet, so Lucina and Laurent will have to be on guard.

Smart, he intend to remain hidden to attack us...

Lucina stays silent and hold her sword out, attempting to use her other senses to try and see the Burnt coming. If she can't uses her eyes, she might as well uses her ears to try and figure out the location of the nightmare entity.

Stark opens fire with repulsors blasts from his two hands.

She thrusts her hand forwards and fires a powerful concussive blast at MK.

She mutters under her breath, trying harder to pull herself together.

NLA: Close Combat

The red fighter, now that MK was letting his guard down, got that vault, landed behind the warrior, and went for a strong punch.

The purple fighter swung her axe downwards, able to do it with only one hand...

Mecha Knight gets hit by everything, skidding across the ground as smoke starts to come out of his jets.

He starts to power up as if turning red. "Initiating -"

A titanic rumble cuts him off. He looks off into the distance and sees the ground in faraway Primordia getting torn up, like something is travelling through it...

Daroach and the Batter are far enough away that the earthquake caused by whatever's digging is only a minor tremor at best. He unleashes one more mouselike creature, this one fat, blue, and bigger than Daroach and the Batter combined. (Summon Storo)

Storo leaps into the air and attempts to slam down rump-first on top of the Batter.

Daroach slashes rapidly at all the Add-Ons with his claws. (Scratch Out)

He dodges once more, backwards this time, though the impact from the slam makes him lose his balance and fall on the ground.

Alpha gets caught in the slashes, while Omega charges at Daraoch from the side with a defense-piercing attack, its form blurry. (Photographic Blur)

Meanwhile, Epsilon starts moving around dramatically, increasing the Batter's physical defense. (Baroque Drama)

Using her ears turns out to be the way to spot him, as his harsh breathing can be faintly heard near her.

   "Hhhhhhhh..."   

It stops for a moment when it's to the right of Lucina. If she notices, and her reflexes are good enough, she'll be able to block an incoming claw strike from her right.

Well of course we'd get... huge earthworms jumping in. complains Stark, flying up in the air and deploying several black arcs of some kind, each equipped with a unibeam-blasting device. They begin to power up as he shifts his hands to form cannons, preparing a big attack.

I'm going to lose it if it grows wings.

Laurent, prepare to...

The attack catches her off guard but she's able to move fast enough to block. Aware that Lucina can handle the danger and used to dangerous situations, Laurent barely emotes before attempting to blast the beast away with a Thoron tome, aware that he can't hold back.

Nagato gives a momentary glance at the new rumbles, before deciding that this distraction would be a good opportunity to attempt to take out MK.

She suddenly rushes him, and attempts to knock his lights out. Regardless of how effective her punch is, if it hits her arm is reduced almost to mush from the sheer velocity at impact.

The hit was hard enough to stun Mecha Knight and knock him onto his back, but not enough to deal critical damage.

A massive long thing bursts out of the ground and sails through the air, momentarily blotting out the sun, then dives back in as it tunnels its way towards NLA...

The Purple Worm

Storo disappears, but Daroach pulls a freaking bomb out of his cloak and lobs it in an overhead arc at the Batter (Daroach Bomb) right before getting struck by Omega. He goes sprawling to the ground.

He chuckles as he pulls a treasure chest out of thin air and lifts it over his head...

The Batter quickly gets back up, then swings his bat at the bomb to try to bat it back at Daraoch.

Unfortunately it explodes on impact, and as such the Batter gets hit and falls on the ground yet again, his face covered in sooth.

Epsilon quickly attempts to aid the Batter by increasing his offenses for when he'll get back up. Alpha and Omega, however, fly at the treasure chest, Alpha from the left and Omega from the right, and try to 'grab' it with both of their forms.

If successful, they'll fly upwards to try to steal the chest from Daraoch and bring it out of his reach.

The ghost girl starts to wake up.

The Burnt is blasted out of the smoke by Thoron. Shockingly, and very worringly though, it gets right back up, even with the rumbling ground, not looking very wounded.

As the smoke starts to settle, the Burnt now leaps again, this time at Laurent, and attempts to bash him into a wall.

Nearby the Burnt fight, Zacharie◊, wearing his frog mask now that his cat mask has been destroyed, takes a small box out of the ground. It has tickets inside of it.

"Alright, I almost have all of my spare goods back. Once I do, we can finally set out to find the Quee-"

He then takes notice of the nearby sounds of battle.

"Quoi?"

He starts to move towards it... then trips because of the tremors. He quickly gets back up again though and continues heading for the battlefield.

Alright, I think that the main priority is the worm thing now. says Stark, further powering up. Giant, leaping worm thing. Fun.

Lucina leaps to block for Laurent, pushing him and blocking once more, though the ground crack under her this time. Quite aware that he's not agile to keep up, Laurent prepares a potent spell as Lucina attempts to slide to the left, attempting to destabilize the Burnt by stopping to resist at once. If it succeed, she slashes at it with her sword.

She stares at it before nodding at Iron Man.

Nagato attempts to erect a small metaphysical barrier around their location. It definitely won't hold, but the worm will hopefully take some recoil damage from smashing through it.

The Purple Worm doesn't go straight for the group. It erupts from the ground on the outskirts of NLA and hangs down, half-under and half-above, looming down upon them all.

Curiously, it's just looking at them for right now, not bothering to attack.

The moment the Add-Ons touch the treasure chest, it pops open and an inflatable Dark Nebula on a spring bursts out, flailing in all directions madly like a ball on a chain - and if it hits anything (like, possibly, the two Add-Ons that are now carrying it), it'll deliver a disturbingly powerful impact. Daroach chuckles before charging up another Ultra Ice Laser like the one with which he had made his presence known. However, instead of firing, he raises his guard, storing the charge in the form of an aura of frost around him. (Charged Up)

Tony look up at the worm, blinking.

....... I can build something bigger than that.

The Add-Ons get taken by surprise and knocked to the ground. Alpha shatters upon impact, having been dealt a critical hit.

The Batter, upon seeing this, looks angry, some emotion finally showing on his face. He digs through his pockets for a Joker ticket he bought from Zacharie, squeezing it to activate it and reviving Alpha.

Epsilon and Omega, once it's back up, back off a little, returning to the Batter at his silent command, as he seems to be trying to think of a way to get past Daroach's barrier.

Lucina's trick works, the Burnt becoming unstable on his feet, and he gets slashed across the chest, stepping back, but yet again not being very wounded.

He then attempts to grab Lucina and, if successful, throw her at Laurent.

Zacharie makes it to the battlefield, and looks shocked when he sees the Burnt.

"Wait, how..."

She stares back at it, using this time to repair herself (though focusing on her redmisted arm).

Nagato calls out to Iron Man.

"What do you think it is doing."

Lucina is grabbed and thrown along. Laurent, aware that heroically catching one's wife when she's being sent flying is pretty bad for one's health, switches tomes to catch her with a wind spell. She lands safely but he loses the build up for the previous spell.

Thanking him with a nod, she goes back to th fight, not noticing the newcomer.

A scruffy, burly man with sideburns is running after the trail the Purple Worm left through Primordia, barely keeping pace with the damage being gradually undone.

Daroach looks over at the ghost girl. Then he glares at the Batter and starts pacing back and forth.

"You know, my orders were to follow you and not engage, to determine if you were a member of this problematic group called the 'Assassins'. How does it feel to know? I don't normally do things I'm not paid to do, but you got me to fight you for nothing."

He pulls out his cane and taps it to one palm as if slapping a ruler. "That means either you really pissed me off, or I already know I'll win."

He gives a small, devious smirk. "Care to flip that coin?" Then he fires the Ultra Ice Laser, trying to freeze the Batter solid.

Here Come The Squeaks!

The worm continues watching. Then it roars, loud enough to shatter seemingly all the glass in a half-mile radius.

Mecha Knight seems unfazed. "Hostile wildlife?... Cannot determine."

He keeps his weapons primed and uses high-tech to block the sound, though he winces.

Alright the Mark 51 will have higher sound-proof tech built into it. Thanks for the concern Giant Worm. he says. I can't fire on it since it has yet to make any moves but it'd be dumb to just let this thing at the edge of the city.

The Batter looks confused.

   "I don't know of any Assassins. But they sound impure. Perhaps, once I'm done here, I'll investigate them next."   

Epsilon flies in front of the Batter to try to take the laser, ending up frozen. The Batter looks genuinely surprised, and a little troubled, as Freeze isn't a status he can heal. He looks back at Daroach.

   "You're potent, but you cannot stop me from fulfilling my holy mission."   

He charges Daroach again alongside Omega, despite what just happened to Epsilon. Either he thinks that attack was a one-time use, or he has a plan.

As the ghost girl gets up though, Alpha, who'd been playing dead after being revived, suddenly charges at her, attempting to cut through her. She starts running, but the Add-On is much faster than she is...

The Burnt suddenly charges forward again, but suddenly flinches and falls. Zacharie, holding a sword, had slashed at his back, and he looks at Lucina and Laurent.

"We have to run, right now.", he says, sounding worried. "This is a Burnt, and he's much more powerful than he looks!"

Zacharie's words seem to be true, as the Burnt is already getting back up again. Though the roar from the somewhat nearby worm causes it to flinch and fall again, while Zacharie, while jumping in surprise, manages to remain unflinching.

"This is our chance, quickly!"

Lucina takes Laurent's hand and begins to run , keeping pace. She doesn't want to let the thing loose on the city but she's smart enough to know that the other person has to be more knowledgeable than her, taking his warnings could be useful.

A burnt ? What manner of creature is this ?

Laurent, not being as agile and quick, struggles to keep up and decide not to waste his energy on speaking.
