She sheathes her sword and raises up both her hands, crackling with lightning...

Confluence of Fates

Realizing exactly what kind of spell it was that Awkeff must be preparing to launch, Viserys begins readying his own Lightning Storm...

Awkeff fires her Lightning Storm up at the ceiling, causing large crystal stalactites to break off and plummet down towards Viserys.

She's looking very exhausted now...

"Whoa!"

Having expected Awkeff to unleash her attack at him rather than the ceiling, Viserys instinctively fires his own Lightning Storm at the plummeting crystal stalactites before they can squash the Nord Dragonborn in the same way a Giant would squash a foolhardy bandit, the ensuing crystalline shards now raining down around him.

"Okay... Shall we call it a draw for the time being, Awkeff?"

As if on cue, the Dragon Aspect fades away and the Altmer Dragonborn falls onto her knees.

Awkeff closes her eyes and smiles. "I can agree to that."

She stands up. "So... while we're here, may as well ask. Do you know anything about the Companions, the College of Winterhold, the Riften Thieves' Guild, or the Dawnguard/Volkihar conflict? Answer and you can ask something of me."

His own Sapphire Starlight armor fading away, Viserys walks over to Awkeff.

"Right, I actually joined the Companions and even became the Harbinger after Kodlak's... untimely demise. Myself, Farkas, and Vilkas all cured ourselves of lycanthropy, though Aela chose to remain a werewolf. Occasionally, for whatever odd reason, I think I see Skjor walking about Jorrvaskr and dining with the others, despite knowing full well that he's dead..."

He shakes his head, deciding to change the subject.

"As for the the College of Winterhold, I wound up becoming the Archmage following Ancano's little stunt. As tactful as he was for a Thalmor, especially in comparison to his associates, I always knew he was plotting something. If only I had acted sooner, Savos and Mirabelle might still be alive... But on a considerably lighter note, my only true interaction with the Thieves Guild was the initial meeting with Brynjolf during my search for Esbern."

He pauses momentarily, then continues.

"Finally, I ultimately sided with the Dawnguard and helped Serana not only uncover the truth behind the prophecy that drove her family apart, but defeat her mad father Lord Harkon before he could make said prophecy a reality. To this day, she remains one of my closest friends."

Nicole is presently sitting near the Cleansing Spring with her feet in the water, her boots resting beside her as she relaxes.

"... Wow. Regarding the Companions, the only difference is that I had Aela give me lycanthropy again some time after the rest were cured." She points to her eyes. "Guess this means we're from separate timelines or something."

"College of Winterhold..." She giggle-snorts a little. "Ancano was so obviously evil I almost attacked him on sight! Although..." She hangs her head. "I still feel ashamed that I couldn't save Aren and Mirabelle."

"Thieves' Guild, well... You may not like this, but..." She takes a deep breath and waves a hand over the Nightingale parts of her armor (and the Nightingale Blade). "I joined them and rose through the ranks in no time flat. The then-Guild Master, Mercer, turned out to be a corrupt, backstabbing asshole, so I went through a ritual and became a Nightingale to kill him. I also reassembled a lost artifact that's said to grant wealth and luck to its owners, so they don't need to do as much dirty work to stay afloat."

"And... I won't go into details, but I hope Harkon is rotting in the Soul Cairn right about now."

There's a bright light, and Laurent appears along with Lucina, nearby.

"Considering that you became leader of both the Thieves' Guild and Dark Brotherhood, I think it's safe to say that our timelines are very much seperate," Viserys answers Awkeff, extending a hand towards her. "However, you've proven that you aren't evil despite being associated with such groups. Granted, the Thieves' Guild don't commit murder in the name of some dark god, but I digress."

He glances at what appears to be the Jagged Crown resting upon the High Elf's head.

"And I've been meaning to ask this since we met: why are you wearing what seems to be the Jagged Crown?"

Quickly turning to look at the newly arrived Lucina and Laurent, Nicole gets up, then pulls her boots back on.

"S'up, Lucina, Laurent. I'm guessing there's something important I oughta know about regarding the Einherjar/potential Grima situation?"

Indeed. That and perhaps a matter that is less pressing in nature;

Laurent nods.

I shall be blunt. Have you contacted the merchant ? he asks. Anna ?

"It's a copy I crafted using the original as a template because I thought it looked cool and wanted to wear it even after handing it over for the civil war. Even if I'm the new Guild Master, it'd be wrong to steal something so important from a man with whom I allied, so I just made myself a replica. Also because seeing it makes Thalmor hesitate to attack for at least a second or two, which is plenty of time to cause a panic and rout or kill them."

"Heh, replica or otherwise, you're certainly putting it to good use against those Thalmor bastards."

Viserys is still waiting to see if Awkeff will accept his handshake or not.

"Not yet, though I've been meaning to pay her a visit lately," Nicole answers Laurent. "There something you wanna tell her?"

Her gaze flickers to Lucina.

"Figures... Alright, let's hear what you've got, Lucy. Hope the less pressing one is a way to make Gangrel behave like less of an obnoxious twat."

We desire to warn her about the recent events. It would be better to do so quickly before our enemies attack again, since delivering potentially shocking information is unwise if one is caught in the midst of a fight.

Lucina... pulls out the blue phone and hand it to Nicole.

This machine screeched an odd song and Georgios proceeded to call me. I desire to be able to at least suppress the song, do you know how to do it ?

She reaches out and (presumably) shakes Viserys' hand.

"I suppose I should start exploring... wherever I am now. Until then?"

"Actually, I'm considering perhaps accompanying you for this journey, in case you might require a guide," Viserys answers Awkeff. "If you'll have me, of course."

Nicole raises an eyebrow, then accepts the phone from Lucina.

"Personally, I wouldn't trust anything that psychopath gives you, Lucy. Hell, you should probably get of it ASAP. But I'm the meantime..."

She turns off the aforementioned phone, returns it to her, then nods to Laurent.

"Heh, and here I was just gonna buy stuff from her and maybe vent about Gangrel. Though you're right, she might appreciate it if we told her about this evil Morgan."

I understand your point about Gangrel and that man but ultimately, it would be better to focus on the threats. Morgan is a powerful member of the Sheperds in several timelines and this one seems to be equally competent... if not moreso.

Many thanks. replies Lucina. I trusted that he would not attempt to trick us... while I dislike his methods and intend to step in if he strays too far, ultimately, we need allies in the fight against Grima. Gangrel and Georgios are unpleasant yet competent.

"Alright then. Fine by me." She nods.

Wind blows through the cavern.

"... I don't think that bodes well. We may want to get moving."

"Agreed."

Motioning for Awkeff to follow him, Viserys proceeds to make his way out of the cavern.

"Maybe, but I'm a helluva lot more comfortable working with competent allies that I trust and aren't complete psychos. Not to mention that Gangrel's definitely gonna backstab us the first chance he gets," Nicole says to both Lucina and Laurent. "Eh, but we probably oughta head to Anna's shop."

I am ready to carefully trust him. He did help a lot during the battle against the dragon.

There is also little benefit to a betrayal, since he cannot join forces with the Einherjar and rather detest Validar. We should keep our guard up but I believe that we should also be wary of the attacks from the front.

Now, please, step next to me. says Laurent, raising a book. Lucina does so.

Sapphire Star Island

Welp, the Confluence of Fates was on an island. Now what?

"Oh. Okay then... Lemme try something. I've never actually tested this before." Awkeff takes a deep breath.

"Iiz... SLEN NUS!" She Shouts an Ice Form blast at the water between the island and the mainland.

Perhaps surprisingly, the water freezes over, forming a walkway of ice that makes it... most of the way out to the mainland.

She makes a beckoning gesture to Viserys before running across.

Letting out a low whistle at the sight of Awkeff's Ice Form Shout creating a makeshift bridge for the two Dragonborn, Viserys proceeds to run across it with her.

"The more I learn about the extent of your abilities, Akweff, the more I wonder where in Skyrim or Solstheim you could've possibly acquired such power..."

Nicole walks over to Laurent and Lucina's side.

"But does he have be such an insufferable prick about it? I get the feeling he might actually want someone to snap and kill him, just so they'll get in trouble with everyone else..."

I do believe that you are correct... about the first part, at the very least.

He ports them back to NLA, though away from Anna's shop. Lucina doesn't seems to mind, holding his book down when he raise it again.

It'll tire you much more than walking.

Laurent nods, a bit strained.

"... Ummm... It's possible it's just because of the whole 'split timelines' thing. These things exist naturally in mine but are foreign to yours."

After walking over the ice bridge and swimming the rest of the distance to land, Awkeff stands up on the shore. She holds her hands together and slowly slides them apart, materializing a wicked-looking sword that glows orange◊ between them.

This materialization is probably how the Hammerspace Inventory will be portrayed for Awkeff.

The sword starts to fall to the ground, but she catches it by the hilt. Looks like it's two-handed, based on how difficult it is for her to catch it with one hand. "I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I found this sword buried amidst volcanic rock in the Aetherium Forge. When I said I wasn't trying to kill you, I was serious, because if I really wanted you dead, I'd have used this. This weapon is ridiculous."

"I suppose that's as good an explanation as any."

Once he's crossed the ice bridge and swam to the shore as well, Viserys watches with interest as Awkeff brings out her sword.

"That's... quite an impressive-looking weapon. Perhaps I ought to check the Aetherium Forge in my Skyrim, on the off-chance it might exist there as well."

Once they've arrived near Anna's shop in NLA, Nicole raises an eyebrow at Laurent.

"But... why the hell would Gangrel want someone to kill him? Seems like he's having too much fun being a royal pain in the ass."

Awkeff sheathes the Infinity Sword on her back. "Yeah. Let's press on."
