"Oh, okay. Good to know this place is inhabited, I guess."

He glances at Callis's tail.

"… Is there a moon?"

He looks around for a food source.

Seeing his new ally going on the offensive, Miles decided to join her, charging towards the downed armored alien as he activated two other powers: Super Durability and Bodily Rotation. Combining his new strength with the latter, he leaped into the air over his enemy, forearms rotating at high speeds as he descended.

Ceph staggers to its feet, countering the rockets with a barrage of more explosives, many of which may end up heading right towards Miki since it threw an excess of them.

As Miles descended towards it, Ceph fumbles for a second, but raises the charging plasma cannon right above itself and fires the superbeam.

"BBMBM!"

About a dozen of the ceph's projectiles made it through Miki's Rocketgiri wall, causing Miki to slow down to focus on dodging the projectiles. By the time she was clear, the ceph's superbeam had already fired. She frowned and continued her swift advance.

"Ah crud.." Miles grumbled as he spotted the alien managed to aim his weapon and fire. With both arms spinning at full throttle, he swung forward and collided with the beam, pushing against it with all the strength he could muster. Calling up his Super Durability had been a good idea after all...though if the fact he was being pushed back with some third degree burns forming was any indication, it wouldn't hold forever.

"Hey!!" He called over to the magical girl, "Whatever you're gonna do, do it quickly, please!!"

The Ceph scrambles backwards once the beam finishes, out of the way of Miles's reach.

Once Miles's touches down it will then attempt to bash into him with the forcefield and bitchslap him with its tentacles.

It fires some deterring blasts towards Miki, attempting to get her to stay off its back for a little while longer.

Miki was too close to call off her attack now. She dodged the last few blasts, though not without some grazing her. Fighting through the pain, she went into a quick spin, outstretching the scythe blade and if it made solid contact, the force of the impact would be directing the ceph towards her sigil on the ground.

When the beam finally faded out, Miles landed and went down to one knee breathing a bit heavily due to the stress of having to weather such a powerful attack. However, it seems his foe wasn't going to wait for him to catch his breath as it crashed into him with its forcefield though he managed to stand his ground despite the pain.

"Ok buddy...now you're making me a little angry.." Seeing the tentacles coming, he used his rotating legs to kick them away before pushing himself off the barrier to get a bit of distance. He swapped out his Rotation power for yet another pair of tricks. Two extra pairs of limbs formed out of his body as each hand took aim and started firing palm-sized forcefield bubbles in a rapid-fire style.

Ceph is slammed while off balance from its tentacles being slapped around, and staggers towards the sigil. He travels a pretty short distance, though: He is very bulky.

Then the force field bubbles hit. Some kind of reaction occurs between the fields, and an explosion knocks Ceph a hundred feed away, scorched, its field on the brink of falling and flat on its back.

Unfortunately, that blast was rather big and may have hurt everyone nearby.

BLADE Barracks

Megan nodded to the sleeping Reyna, saved and exited out, and then promptly fell into a sleeping person-heap on the couch.

"I should have done this a long time ago, to be perfectly honest."

Tiamat traced a cryptic sequence of runes into the air, as a small octahedral crystal materialized. A few moments later, it floated down into Tiamat's hands. She held it out to Xeno'jiiva.

"Well, there you go. The first official map of the Archives. I'm not going to lie, I hadn't even remembered that I could do that for a good few centuries."

Nyr looked down at his his magictech hand, as if consulting a wristwatch. A few symbols appeared in a small circle, hovering just above the gem. He looked away, satisfied with... whatever knowledge was contained within. It's probably just a really pretentious watch, honestly.

   "Speaking of my friend, have either of you seen a woman with some blue scales here and there on her body? She's got a fairly recognizable sword and a huge hand gun. And potions. Lots of potions."   

The explosion certainly did catch everyone off guard. It sent the ceph a hundred feet away. Miki, being much lighter, was sent twice that distance. This time, she wasn't able to catch her bearings in midair. She hit the ground and rolled to a stop after another three dozen feet, her scythe's blade extinguishing and the stand disappearing. Miki slowly started working herself back to her feet, though it was obvious the blast did some major hurt to her.

Miles too had been caught in the blast and sent flying yet again. Even with his increased durability, it still hurt. He impacted near where the magical girl was lying. When he saw that she was pretty beat up too, a sickening feeling welled up in his gut at realizing that, even if he had no idea this would happen, he was still partly responsible.

"S-Sorry...guess this is what I get for playing the hero, huh?" He pushed himself to try and sit up.

The durable xeno jumps to its feet, fire in its eyes. Half its face appears to be burned off, and the field flickers around it unstably. The small tentacles around its mouth wave furiously.

"…"

It raises the plasma cannon and tries to fire, but immediately stops after realizing that it isn't quite working right.

…

He tries again anyways, but this time throws the former gun-turned-improvised-bomb at Miki's location.

It then straight up grabs a few rocks from the ground and launches them at Miles, using its massive tentacles as catapults. Four large stones rocket towards him.

Miki looked at her assistant, appreciating the kindness even as he blamed himself. She finally got to her feet, stumbling backwards slightly. "Miki... needs your help..." She looked back at their mutual enemy and saw the flying debris coming at them. She winced in pain as she quickly brought her hand to bear, but she managed to get off a single Rocketgiri at the flying gun.

Miles managed a small smile, a bit relieved that she didn't seem to be holding the situation against him. Seeing her with the courage to stand, inspired him to do the same, "Thanks...also, name's Miles. Now than..." Seeing the rocks going towards him, Miles swapped back to his Bodily Rotation power and launched his six spinning arms forward, striking with the force needed to shatter one of the stones to powder.

He jumped into the air and destroyed the second rock with a double kick and deflected the third before stopping the spinning to grab the fourth stone with all six of his arms. He landed and hurled the stone back at the alien.

The Ceph catches the stone with his chest, and stumbles backwards, cursing.

"MBBMBMMMBCMBMBCC!"

Then the Rocketgiri hits the unstable plasma cannon and starts a (small) nuclear explosion.

Ceph is blown off its feet once again.

Once again, the blast catches her off guard and sends Miki flying backwards, but once again, Miki slowly starts working herself to her feet. Justice must be brought for her destroyed onigiri. The thought of how she wasn't dead yet never crossed her mind.

Miles shielded himself from the explosion by blocking with all six of his arms though the force of it still sent him skidding backwards. Somehow, he got the impression that this alien dude wasn't gonna stop until he had killed the girl next to him. If that was the case, then...

The voice of Nebula came to him in his mind again, saying how now was the time to stop holding back...but Miles shook his head and thought in his head, "No, partner...not in a place like this...but perhaps..." He glanced towards the magical girl and took up a defensive position in front of her.

"Here," He held out what looked like a prismatic orb of energy, "Use this to temporarily amplify your powers."

Out of weapons, the ticked off augmented xeno just charged.

"MMMMUUMMUMMUUMB!"

It raises its tentacles, and rushes them, scooping up rocks as it goes and launching them with devastating accuracy and slightly less devastating but still formidable power.

Miki looked up at Miles, then at the prismatic orb in front of her. With no other options, she trusted him and slowly reach towards the orb. Upon grabbing it, she absorbed it into herself and felt her powers amplify and grew a yellow-green aura around her. She was a glass cannon now, and she was going to use that to her advantage. "Hold it off." She said. "Miki needs a minute."

Nodding, Miles turned to face the alien who was now rushing towards them like a bull while still hurling rocks. The young man sighed and started a slow march towards his target, going back to his bodily rotation power, he destroyed each rock with either a single or a pair of devastating punches before picking up speed, all six arms rotating at full throttle as he went to collide with the enemy.

Knowing exactly what happens to his kind after death, Ceph doesn't hesitate.

He overclocks his exosuit, and for a second its muscles ripple with energy before it slams into Miles.

It uses all six of its upper limbs, trying to push against Miles like a sumo wrestler. It grinds its feet into the ground.

   "You expect me to be capable of interpreting this... 'map'?"   

"I haven’t seen a natural moon - I think - but also, I can go Super Saiyan, so the Great Ape form is obsolete to me."

"Now, I think I've seen someone matching that description... somewhere..."

Time. Never enough time. But she had to try.

She hoped that this Miles could hold off this beast for just a few more seconds. Her glow grew even brighter as she started slowly rising into the air. She was focusing all her power for this one attack.

The moment Miles collided with the beast it was like he had ran into a wall that had been fired out of a cannon. However, he knew he had to hold this fella off for as long as he could and thus he pushed and pushed as hard as he could, his own feet sinking into the earth as he made himself like an immovable stone slab with hands, holding the creature at bay.

He could not fail...no..he would not fail!!!
