Rin/Satsuki waves toward the new arrival.

"Um...yeah...you look fine to me.." The young man had no desire to freak her out even more so he kept a bit of distance, "Sorry if I scared you. Name's Miles. What's your name?" He glanced around the area, "And where exactly am I?"

"I'm Tomas."

He releases his hold on the boat, which returns to gently floating on the waves.

"You're in the Arena, a dimensional nexus connecting many different worlds together. Don't worry, despite its name you usually aren't forced to fight, but there sometimes are dangerous beings you have to look out for. Our current location is the Biahno Lake."

"Of course I'd be fine !" she says, looking vain. She does take note of what he says and decide to answer.

"I'm Clémence. And yes it's safe, or else someone would have stumbled upon my brutally mauled corpse already."

Sporacles, deciding that there isn't too much more to do here, starts to sink lower into the lake.

He starts nomming on some cured Peeper.

He considers just releasing some of the live ones into the ocean.

   "I'm Satsuki."    "...and I'm Rin."

"Speaking of dangerous beings, I need to train some more. I've got a feeling I'll have to fight a difficult battle in the future. I'll go back to the shore for that, I don't want to bother you here."

Tomas' eyes become unfocused as he concentrates on something invisible. After a moment new waves disturb the surface of the lake, this time between the boat and the edge of the lake. Tomas blinks, notices the waves he created and again raises a hand, the boat again becoming stationary. "Pardon."

A moment later a bridge made from solid stone forms out of rubble from the bottom of the lake between the boat and the shore close to Rin/Satsuki, which Tomas uses to get off the boat.

As he passes them, he activates his Aura Vision and attempts to use his life magic to check their anatomy for anything unusual.

"Good to meet you all," Miles greeted them, "I didn't interrupt anything important, did I?"

"No." she says, looking at the waves and the "strange beings" in intense concentration, her lips quivering a little to note that she's really, really, really thinking hard about it.

Tomas discovers that Rin/Satsuki can use magic but has ordinary human biology.

"So, Clemence, right? What's your career? Looks to me like you're some sort of researcher."

Tomas politely nods to the others as a form of farewell and walks a bit further away from the lake. He takes a small crystal out of a pocked and... seems to do nothing with it.

"I am, I research the strange, the weird, the creepy and the occasionally dangerous. Poltergeits, or demons, or possessed things, it's my jazz."

"Interesting."

Tomas continues to do nothing with the crystal before putting it away. If one were able to see magic, one would realize that he's depleting his magical energy reserving by growing and charging a mana crystal.

After he's done, he focusses on a few small rocks in the distance. A few grains of sand float next to him and he begins to launch them at the rocks, apparently training precision and using small amounts of energy for attacks.

A black and purple vortex opens nearby and out floats a short woman wearing a gothic-style gress, with small, mangy wings at her waist level, her head decorated with another wing-like crest and small silvery horns◊.

She perks her head up and laughs heartily.

"This place is just a meeting place for the weird, hahahahahha !"

Tomas snaps out of his focus and looks over to the vortex and the floating woman. Hm, for some reason she looks familiar. I don't know why, though.

   "I suppose."    Rin/Satsuki shrugs, not paying attention to the vortex or the floating woman for the moment.

"How fortunate. I would never have thought that I would meet a living legend of Gensokyo in this place, let alone two," she muses.

Clémence rows much closer to the quator of a sort, with actual stars in her eyes.

"Got anything to defend yourself with? Like weapons or powers?" Miles asked Clemence.

Tomas again has the mana crystal in his hand and observes the others.

« No, haha, I have high chances of dying if I meet a dangerous being by my lonesome ! »

Ares and Susanoo proceed.

Rin/Satsuki just looks around, then sits back down at the edge of the pond.
