Enter The Arena As Your Avatar -- The Spinoff!

"Pleasure to meet you."

"The arena sounds like a good place for that. It is often quite empty. unfortunately, but large sea monsters shouldn't be too difficult to find. This place seems to attract big, dangerous creatures."

Rin Satsuki is sitting down at the edge of the lake, not too far away from the others. She notices the others, stands up, and greets them.

"Hey. The name's Rin."    "I'm Satsuki!"   

( Dual personalities are fun to Arena with.)

She looks down at the lake after hearing them talk.

"This isn't going to help my Megalophobia. And by that, I do not mean that I'm afraid of megalomaniac persons."

Clémence looks at the newcomer and blinks.

"What a polite person ! So cute too."

"Yeah… you'd think so, but nope. The only big guys I've seen in my whole time here have been on on RIGHT next to land."

He waves hello to the girl with multiple personalities.

"Fear…? I mean, I guess big fish can be pretty scary, but once you stab your first few Reaper Leviathans to death you start to get over it."

"Oh, hello. I didn't notice you... you two?" Tomas greets them, curious about the two different voices.

"What do you mean, then?" He asks Clémence, then turns to Sporacles. "Going on land to hunt there isn't an option for you?"

Rin/Satsuki nods. "Mhm... correct."

"I'm not some superhuman, geez." she answers. "I can't just stab huge stuff to death;"

"Megalophobia is the fear of huge things. I mostly fear huge living things. Like, a paquebot or a bus or a building ? Its fine. But a whale freak me out." she declares. "And there's pretty huge stuff in my world too."

"I could, now, but I've already wasted so much time and missed so many good fights… it makes me kinda bummed out that I can't, say, stab Groudon to death."

"I'm not a super human either, but I work out a few hours a day, and have this scuba suit."

"… Really? Whales? Those are… those are totally harmless! I could kill one in just thirty minutes!"

"You mean huge creatures that aren't common in other worlds? What would that be?"

"I don't know what a Groudon is. What makes it immune to being stabbed?"

Rin/Satsuki looks around. "Your guess is as good as mine, Satsu."    "As in absolutely no clue?"    "Um... yeah, pretty much."

"Well, there's one called, erm, Kovisj. It's a species of huge creature, so huge that some people occasionally live on it. Like, its super dangerous but according to experts, it's easy to see when it's going to dive and it takes days to move out so you can move out before it leaves."

"I wouldn't even be able to have it on my sight." she admit.

"Well at least you have tools and training. I want to research stuff."

"What makes it immune to stabbing is that it was already taken care of while I was out on the ocean! I missed the whole thing!"

"Okay, but you should still get over your fear eventually."

Tomas hears Rin/Satsuki talking to themselves. "Do you have a question?"

"There are a few large creatures where I'm from, like dragons. Although I don't know of anything of the size you're describing." Tomas replies to Clémence. "What do you want to research? Maybe you could team up with someone like Sporacles and get over your fear."

He listens to Sporacles complaints. "Oh. Well, maybe you should try to stay closer to the shore in that case, maybe you'd notice creatures on land sooner and be able to help fighting them. Do you have some way to communicate over large distances? You could ask people to inform you if they need help."

   "No, it's fine..."    Satsuki replies.

She shrugs.

"I research bizarre things (PREFERABLY SMALLER BIZARRE THINGS) like ghosts or demons. I wouldn't see those if I stay with him."

"Yeah, I think I'm gonna stick closer to shore from now on. Maybe look out for that Reyna chap: She seemed, well, she has a different hunting style than me, but at the very least she probably knows how to track em down."

"Small things are cool, I guess, but they just don't do it for me. It's way cooler to hunt down, say, those big guys from Pacific Rim and stuff."

"How did it happen that you are two in a single body if you don't mind me asking?" Tomas asks Rin/Satsuki.

"Did you find any so far?" Tomas replies, not considering that he could be thought of as bizarre.

"Do you have any powers that help you to survive against giant enemies?"

High above in the clouds, a figure could be seen falling through the sky stretched out and in the middle of what looked to be a deep snooze, clearly oblivious to his current predicament. From within the dark-haired fair skinned man's hoodie emerged a black goopy tentacle that tapped him on the face, startling him awake, "Huh? What is it, Nebula?"

The appendage pointed downwards, causing him to glance downwards at the approaching water below. The lad then looked between it and his companion. Finally, he simply sighed, "Well, at the very least, I won't need to worry about a shower today..." He then inhaled, closed his eyes and plugged his nose as he impacted the water with a great splash.

   "Well... um... we've been    this way for at least a few decades, if that answers your question." Rin and Satsuki both say at nearly the same time.

"Well, yeah." she says, opening a book full of scrambled writing and complicated drawings. "And I've got one more per- WHOAH" she says, as the newcomer splash and cause her boat to go apeshit across the water, with Clémence crouching and putting her book below her to protect it.

"YAAAAAAAAHHHHGGGG ?!!"

"Well, uh… nope. I'm just a person whose been fighting them for a while and gotten pretty good at it. I mean, I guess I could use a prawn suit or ask one of the super guys here for a boost something, but it just feels like cheating: Just tackling them with an Oxygen Tank and a knife is more my style."

He kind of ignores the splashing. He never really opened the cockpit anyways, he just inspects the newcomer.

The human stayed underwater for several seconds before a pile of bubbles came to the surface and then he emerged with gills having formed on his sides, "The next time I see Mom, I'll have to thank her for signing me up for swimming lessons..." He spotted a boat nearby with someone inside and thus started to swim over, "Hey!! You ok there?"

"Not really, but don't worry about it." Tomas says to Rin/Satsuki.

Tomas holds out his hand when the newcomer's high-velocity arrival disturbs the water and the boat instantly stops moving, it and its occupants held in place by an invisible force.

"What was that?"

Tomas, using his affinity for life magic, searches for signs of whatever creating the waves being alive, and quickly realizes that the person is unharmed. "Hello, yes. We're fine. Where did you come from?"

She look up, her head peeking out of the boat a little.

"Another strange thing !" she remarks, a bit shaken.

"… Huh."

He drives back over to them and pokes his head out.

"Oi! What was that all about?"
