Gary sprays his SMG right into the Jho.

Kensou throws an elbow into the head of the Jho and jumps backwards.

Azrael jumps off of the Jho and lands on the other side of it.

After another round of beatings, the Tempered Deviljho rolls onto its feet. It roars, briefly stunning its attackers (yes, I know I phrased that like autohitting, but it's because they're not supposed to keep fighting it). It takes the opportunity to storm off, tearing through Noctilum in its retreat.

Dedede shakes himself loose. "We-he-hell, seems that big beast wasn't ready to face the Great King and his cohorts!"

New Los Angeles

Somewhere in the city, someone lays out in the middle of one of the streets, seemingly unconscious.

A shape approach him, walking at a nonchalant, somehow uneven pace.

As the shape approaches him, they will be able to make out that the person is a red haired man, dressed in hakama, a sheathed katana hanging from his waist.

...They would also hear ridiculous sounding snoring, further revealing that the man is merely sleeping. He doesn't budge, not seeming to realize anyone is approaching.

She stop right next to him, revealing a goth-like, yet perfectly human young woman in an oversized purple coat.

She smiles, but then frowns and pull out an old book, quickly flipping the pages.

As she opens her book, the woman might be surprised by the sudden feeling of something rubbing up against her leg.

If she looks down, she would now spot a blue-eyed, white tiger cub, small enough to hold in one's hands, which almost seems to have come out of nowhere.

"D'aww." she says, bending over to try to take the cub within her hands. "What kind of cute thing are you ?" asks the woman, with a somewhat deep voice.

Her eyes are almost sparkling, it seems that she like animals.

The tiger cub doesn't resist, allowing her to pick it up with no issue. It makes a "Mew" like sound, and turns to look at the sleeping man, extending its paw in his direction.

As it does, she night notice the tiger's extended foreleg bears a brand of sorts in a lightning-esque pattern, colored a deep purple and a similar pattern on the sleeping man's exposed arm as well, hinting at some sort of connection.

"It sure seems that way."

"Nobody can match the Dragon Spirit!"

"Is that so?"

Gary slings the Gary Hammer over his shoulder triumphantly.

Kensou gloats and takes a victory pose.

Azrael looks at Kensou with that fire in his eye, the one thirsting for a fight.

"You're tied to a man ? That's abs-"

She glance at some tattoos down her arm.

"Nevermind." she says. "Well, I don't like men, or women, or people in general." continue the woman. "But I like animals, so I'll help you."

The tiger cub looks delighted and purrs before nuzzling her hand in appreciation. It leaps down and onto the man's chest, crawling up to his face and padding his face with its paw, but its still not enough to wake him.

The tiger turns to the woman and points at her book before looking back to the man and lowering its paw towards his face. Someone might be in for a wake up call, it seems.

She look on. She wonder how an animal could mingle with a human but she decide that it give her an occasion to show that her views are right.

Upon learning of the wake up call, she smirks and hold her book up, preparing to bring it down on the man with a bit too much pleasure;

The tiger backs up as the woman brings the book down on the man's face.

Wham!

"Augh!" He shouts in surprise and quickly awakens, sitting up and cupping his face to protect it from any further abuse. "Ow! I'm awake, I'm awake!" He quickly repeats, rubbing at his face to try and alleviate the stinging in his cheeks.

She giggle like a child.

"That was fun !"

The man quickly glances over in the woman's direction, not entirely noticing it was her who him until now. He keeps one hand over his nose as he speaks, making his voice come out slightly muffled. "Yeah, well it wasn't fun for my face, lady!" he says, in slight annoyance.

Before he can say anymore, he feels something tugging at the bottom of his robes and glances down, spotting the tiger cub sitting calmly, it's tails slowly swaying back and forth. "...Kou?" he thinks for a moment and seems to slowly put the pieces together. "...I guess you couldn't do much with me sleeping like the dead, huh..." Kou yips in response and jumps up, settling himself up on the man's shoulder, who takes a minute to get up from the ground before looking at the woman. "You coulda gone about it a different way I think, but thanks for waking me up. No telling how long I woulda been out..." he says to her, trying to sound grateful, but his aching face making that a bit difficult right now.

"Don't worry about it, you can thank the animal. He told me what to do." she says. "In general, animals are much smarter than people think they are, I wrote a book about it." she says, ranting a bit about the intelligence of animals.

"... And that's how smart Dolphins are." she reply, before looking over to him. "Sorry, lost the trail of my thoughts. My name is Clémence, what's yours ? And are ya a samurai ? I read a lot about them." she says, pointing.

Shirou glances over to Kou, reaching up and scratching him between the ears, which the little tiger seems to enjoy. "Believe me, I don't deny that. This little one here probably has more knowledge locked up inside his head than I do." he says, looking back to Clemence, not seeming to mind her tangent on animal intelligence.

"Name's Shirou. And yeah, I am...was a samurai..." he says slowly trailing off and taking a closer look around the area as he says that, slowly having a realization. "...This place...this isn't Yomi. The afterlife..." he says, sounding a little concerned.

Dedede summons a new Wheelie Bike and rides off.

"It's the Arena, I wrote a thesis about it. Wanna read it ?' she says, holding up a small pamphlet.

"The Arena...?" Shirou repeats, a clear look of confusion on his face. He glances down to the pamphlet she offers. "Er...sure." he says, reaching out and taking the pamphlet she offers and starts to look it over.

It should tell him everything he knows, even though she uses a rather flippant, hipster-like description of stuff.

Her notes are very informative yet weird in general, she scribbled some words for instance, simply because she wasn"t satisfied with the shape of a single letter within the word itself.
