Enter The Arena As Your Avatar -- The Spinoff!

Suika dawdles for a moment, waiting for the spider to decide that it is finished.

It continues for a little while longer, before finishing up.

It sighs in contentment.

"Hey, could I build a web in the corner or something?"

"Yeah, that's   fine."    They both say.

It scurries off into a corner and starts spinning a web.

It's not quite as elegant as most spider webs, and is closer to just coating the corner in sticky silk than 'spinning' anything, but it gets the job done.

Suika watches the spider 'spin' the web.

He finishes up, and crouches down on the web. It probably won't actually catch any flies, but it's a comfort thing, you know?

It crouches down in the corner and gets ready to sleep. It's been a three month long day.

New Los Angeles, outside McDonald's

A Latino elf looks up at the building. "Fast food, here? Nice!" He walks through the doors.

Sarah is outside of the Mac Donald, tapping the table with her finger repeatedly and drinking coffee with an unusually bothered face.

Grumio is in the kitchen, grilling up some burgers or however they make burgers at Mc Donalds. He appears to have gotten the hang of it pretty quickly. He may not be the best at most things, but he's definitely at least a passable chef.

Oca touches down outside the Mc Donalds.

"So, this is the resturant...?"

He smells the food, and realizes that it smells orders of magnitude better than most of what you can find on his homeworld. He starts to walk in.

Future!Nicole is currently going for a walk near Sarah's table when she catches sight of her old friend. Curious as to why she seemed uncharacteristically annoyed, the Arcane half-dragon walks over to Sarah's table and sits down next to her.

"So... what's buggin' ya, Sarah?"

"Ho, hello Nicole." she says, attempting to be a bit cheery. "It's over Niko. I told you about it over the phone call."

"Hey, all! Taako's here!" There's a moment of dead silence after the elf introduces himself to everyone in the restaurant loudly enough that Sarah can hear him from outside.

"I guess none of you ever saw me on TV. That's okay. I'm Taako, world-famous chef and hundred-time survivor of the motherfuckin' apocalyyyyyypse~. I was interested in watching how you make food in this Arena."

Taako hears the voice of his sister, Lup, coming from a stone in his pocket.    "Ooh, ooh! Get me something!"   

He takes out the stone and says into it, "Hold your horses, Eager McBeaver, I'm taking a look at the menu."

Grumio hears him but doesn't give a damn. He continues making that Big Mac.

Oca is walking in the doors, and notices Sarah.

He's about to greet her, but hears the elf's outburst, and decides to walk in and engage the elf in a pissing match.

"Bah! I bet my apocalypse was worse than yours!"

"Niko, huh? I'm guessing it's something to do with that little... outburst of his that Erik told me about," Future!Nicole says to Sarah, laying a hand on her shoulder. "I thought I'd helped him get over whatever the hell's gotten into him months ago..."

She does hear but because of her situation, she doesn't really care about it.

"I should have seen this coming months ago." she says, sighing. "But no need to beat myself up over this. I can't help him if I'm busy weeping in a corner."

"If you ask, Demo and Argo, as well as Sandra, are taking care of him. They told me to get there to take some time but I'm also looking for people who could help him."

"To be fair, I kinda doubt any of us could've seen something like this ever happening to Niko. None of this mess is even remotely your fault, capiche?"

Future!Nicole smiles reassuringly at Sarah and pats her on the back, then strokes her chin in a thoughtful manner.

"As for people who could help Niko... right off the top of my head, there's Wanda and/or Zaromos, Sebastian, Frigidus, and Cinke, just to name a few."

"Oh, yeah, big boy? Did you watch an entire living plane of existence eat all of the universes in your home multiverse, barely escape to a new multiverse, then watch the same process repeat itself annually for the next hundred years?" He's giving Oca a... kind of unsettling grin. "If The Hunger weren't already dead, my presence here alone would mean your days are numbered."

He glances back up at the menu, casting a spell to let Lup see it.

   "Angus Deluxe? At a McDonald's?"   

"I know, too good an opportunity to pass up." Taako walks up to the counter. "I'll take two Angus Deluxe burgers." He looks back at Oca and mutters, "Angus McDonald, Boy Detective. Don't be surprised if you haven't heard of him; he's way less popular than he thinks."

She smiles agreeable at Nicole. "Thank you, Nicole. I'm lucky to have you, ya know ?"

Sarah bites her lips a little. "Most of these are magical, their powers would be shut off. This is why I didn't just ask Wanda." explains the woman. "Alexandra could work, I'd teleport over to pick her up instantly but she's helping a whole planet along with Lysandra." she says. "They'd love to help though, so I have like two days before I can pick them up."

The cashier NPC takes his order, and shouts to the kitchen, "TWO ANGUS DELUXE!!!"

Grumio hears the order, and finishes grilling the burger. He sets it aside, and starts to prepare the order.

He laughs at him.

"No, but I guess it could be in the opening stages of something like that. It's still kind of happening. Those Chaos Daemons tend to play the long game."

He walks up to order, presuming Taako as being out of line now that he has demanded his Angus.

Taako steps aside. "Y'know, you look like you've been getting mutilated. Careful about trying to cheat death like that, or my boyfriend will have words with you."

Said "boyfriend", Kravitz the Grim Reaper, says through Taako's stone, "Aw, damnit. I was gonna ask for a Filet-O-Fish."

"I don't think they'll mind a revision, Beau. Just be patient and let the walking torture doll have his turn."

Grumio is in the middle of grilling up an Angus Deluxe.

"Bah. Even if I die, I can probably just sneak my way out of the afterlife. Won't be much of an effect other than I'll have some halo shaped baggage."

To the cashier.

"I'll take five of those... uh, Big Macs!"

Future!Nicole grins at Sarah, then puts an arm around her.

"Heh, right back at ya, Sarah. You'd do the same for me if Shawn was the one acting weird, after all."

She pauses for a moment, then continues.

"Sebastian's eldritch powers could probably get around that little inconvenience. Whatever the case, though, Cinke's probably our best choice here. Lemme know when you've picked her up from planet-saving, would ya?"

"Sorry, what?"

Kravitz materializes next to Taako, who immediately puts an arm around his shoulder. Taako withdraws the arm when Kravitz's face hollows out and morphs into a skull with pinpricks of light for eyes.

"If you can just sneak out of the afterlife with absolutely zero consequence to yourself or others, and no retribution coming after you, then whoever runs your reality's cycle of life and death is doing a very - shitty - job."

"Woah, calm down there, Love! This ain't the time or the place to go full skeleton on him." Taako leans in close to Kravitz and whispers, "Also, he might be able to re-kill you. Just saying."

Kravitz's face reverts as he sighs. "Fine. One Filet-O-Fish for me."

She grins awkwardly after getting hugged.

« Indeed. Do warn me if that happens, alright ? »

Sarah blinks a little afterwards.

« I’d rather avoid any harm on him. And of course I’ll warn you. That said, I’ll wait until they’re done. Niko reacted weirdly when Sandra mentionned Lysander after all, she might be the key. »

She drinks her cup.

« They keep using their old names, heh. »

A green creature burst trough the gates of the fast food, flying around the room at neck breaking speed and pressing its face everywhere before falling flatly to the ground, acting like a thrown ragdoll all the while.

He briefly vanish and appear again, revealing himself as a green creature with a green fur coat. It stand emotionless, arms wide open

The cashier shouts back, "FIVE BIG MACS AND A FILLET-O-FISH!!!"

Grumio startled, then resigns himself, finishing up the Angus deluxes and serving them up in the counter.

"Eh, I think they have their hands full with the daemons trying to eat reality."

He mostly ignores the bouncing green, other than muttering a low "What the fuck."
