I'm not ashamed to admit I didn't believe you.
Okay, so excited as I am about this first look…I do have things I’m curious about.
For one, the Spiderverse formula is cool and all, but I really hope Miles is still at the front of this story. Seeing Miguel O’Hara and Spider-Gwen will be a treat (and I’m super excited for Jessica Drew).
Still, I recently watched the Director’s Cut of Spiderverse and holy crap was there a lot of Miles character work that was scrapped. I would hate for Miles to just be kind of a gateway Spider-Man for other the Spideys.
Secondly, who exactly is the villain of this story? It can’t be any of Spidey’s usual baddies, as they’ve been pretty overexposed at this point. Personally I have my fingers crossed for Kaine Parker.
I'd say the most likely villain is Morlun since he's the most closely tied to Spider-verse stuff in the comics.
Also, are you able to go into any depth on what parts of Miles' character was scrapped for the final cut? I'm very curious.
I was thinking it would be cool if it was Mister Negative. He's a relative newcomer to Spidey's rogue's gallery and I really liked him in Spider-Man PS4. He could be a neat villain.

And his power set is so flashy that it's a no-brainer for something as animated as this.
It's been 3000 years…Morlun seems plausible, or potentially Superior Spider-Man or another "evil" Spidey.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."I almost expect it to start tying to MCU by the way things have been processing.
That would be the stuff of nightmares
New theme music also a boxAnd he won't shut up about the Mets!
A lot of the notable ones were used in the first one. I can definitely picture Morlun and the Inheritors being the Big Bads, but I also wouldn't be surprised if there are other secondary villains like the Kingpin's enforcers in the first one. Alternatively, they could try to cover straight up evil alternate Spider-Man territory.
EDIT: Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some more of the alternate's rogues, like Evil Matt Murdock for Gwen or Flipside for Miguel.

I assure you, I'm a completely trustworthy person.Morlun is likely given him and the Inheritors being the Big Bads of the multiversal Spider-Man stuff. Which is unfortunate, since Morlun also happens to be bland as hell.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Hey, he was decently interesting in his first arc, at least an obstacle for Peter. Although he HAS been pretty bland every successive time...
I've heard Morlun being described as Spider-Man's equivalent to Doomsday: the villain responsible for really kicking the shit out of the hero and leading to a "death-and-rebirth" type story, not having much to them aside from the one story, and reappearing constantly to diminishing returns.

Spiderman's doomsday would be more like someone like Venom or Carnage,no?
New theme music also a boxReally you can prolly just replace Morlun's family with Kraven's and maintain the same general effect of their evil plan being a great big hunt.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That's more talking about two different things.
Morlun is Spider-Man's Doomsday in the form of a primarily physical threat who can only engage the character physically, was thus one and done in an arc about them being able to beat the hero, and then could never hit that same height in later stories.
Venom is Spider-Man's Doomsday in the sense of being part of that Dark Age villain trend of a character who was immune or unfazed by the heroes' powers and could thus serve a big shocking twist defeat, in the same vein as Bane, the Yuuzhan Vong, etc. But unlike Doomsday (and the Vong, imo) not every character under that brush went on to be like the first paragraph.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I actually hope we're getting a bunch of Doctor Octopuses (or Doctors Octopus?).
And yeah, obviously Liv needs to make a return.
Bite my shiny metal ass.Doctor Octopi? Docti Octopi?
Wouldn't be surprised if Liv reappeared though. Even if only briefly.

"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."With Morlun. They'll probably keep the hunter of spiders serial killer thing but combine it with another character like ultimate spider man did (Maybe like their they can use an old spiderman voice actor to play him. I would love to see Neil Patrick Harris in a serious role.)
The difference is imo is also that guys like Venom and Bane were able to grow out of that and become complex and even tragic characters on their own. Well Morlun and Doomsday are just physical threats without any of the later complexity.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I mean you could not just not do Morlun at all tbh. I'd thought that he was gonna be the villian in the first one but they did fine without him.
35 year old white man.I've never heard of Morlun and it sounds like he's not exactly something mainstream fans would exactly know about,if the character does appear I expect they'll revise the character

Yep. He’s Spider-Mobile from a universe like Pixar’s Cars.
