I genuinely thought that when Mike touched Garrett in his dream and ended up getting his sister instead, that hinted that she’s some kind of reincarnation of him.

Had Garrett lived, it seems he'd only be slightly younger than Mike and thus, would also be much older than Abby as well.

So does this mean no to the "Garrett became the Puppet" theory?

The puppet is a girl ghost though.

Well that's why it's reincarnation, the ages won't matter.

The fan theory is that Henry and Afton got swapped. Hence it's Henry with the three kids. Remember we don't know what happened to Mike's dad. Hence garret will be take Charlotte role as aftons first victim and archenemy

I would say it's more likely then anything. If we know at one point we would explicitly see that Garret was still 'around' as a spirit that makes it more likely that the C-O-M-E-F-I-N-D-M-E thing was related to him.

It's likely to be explained in the sequel. That's for sure.

You think the Golden Freddy stuff was A Heads I Win Tails You Lose scenario

It's clear from watching it unlike the others he isn't under Afton's spell. From stuff like not being in that picture or the fact when Mike asks what happened to his brother he draws that yellow rabbit. Or a bunch of other Thongs like the ending which indicate self awareness.

So what if the plan was either Mike fails and he gets a new friend or he suceeds and he Gets revenge on Afton

Golden Freddy did seem in that case to want to expose and turn the others against Afton. It just seemed to be a question of when though.

According to GF kids actor, GF kid always wanted to get William. He was manipulating things so Mike would take William down for him.

This is still Word of Saint Paul mind you, it's the actors interpretation of it, but it's interesting and works with the story.

I mean it makes sense in terms of the plot of course. Afton killed him and all the others, so of course Golden Freddy wanted to make sure he could take care of him. Be interested to see what happens when the animatronics don't have their killer controlling them anymore in the next one certainly.

And of course, in the game canon Golden Freddy's vengeful spirit is the one that ends up torturing Afton in Hell.

Then yeah. Definitely intended that Cassidy? was taking his time to get back at Afton in that case.

FNAF 2 is officially happening

Makes sense. There's plenty of material to adapt, and it's Blumhouse's most successful movie ever, after over 20 years.

Can't wait for Living Tombstone's song for FNAF 2 to play in the credits.

Funnily enough, I actually tried FNAF 2 a while ago. It's not my favorite because of the amount of busy work but it's still fun.

Going to be very interesting to see how they adapt the Puppet since Golden Freddy kind of takes her role.

Also imagine seeing the toys. Oh my.

Hold up isn't Golden Freddy"# actor like 12-14? And they're on X and talking about the movie. Oh dear.

As for FNAF 2, not surprising and very good to hear. That would have been a mean cliffhanger to end on.

They're clearly keeping the PG-13 motif, so the next movie's success is only gonna get bigger for that reason.

He looks like he's 9 to me.

Grant Feely is his name. I think if he does get too old to portray a ghost child, there's a couple of tricks to get around that, like just showing the Golden Freddy suit and have him talk through that.

I wonder if we'll get any more modern elements in the next film. Sense they brought in Vanessa from the Steel Wool era. Maybe Gregory will appear?

Well they have a solid cast with Mike and Abby, so I can see Abby taking the role of Gregory in the game.

She’s even close with Freddy.

I don't know the lore of the games, so like I said, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with the animatronics now that they no longer have Afton controlling them.

A picture of the original version of the Yellow Rabbit scene was shown.

As said before Garrett's ghost was supposed to be shown walking back into the hallway before William walks out.

Yeah I think that would have given the implication that Afton was somehow controlling the ghost of Garrett and that would have been too much.

They've set it up and they're bound to follow it up in the next film. Clearly the point here though was that Mike no longer needed to feel guilty about letting Garrett down because he was succeeding at what he was doing now: being there for Abby and protecting her.
